McClelland College, is a secondary school in Karingal. The school resides in the suburb of Frankston located in Victoria, Australia. The school has received a lot of government funding for their research into new learning environments and for their new VCE centre. Previously known as Karingal Park Secondary College, the school was created after a merger of two other secondary colleges in the same area, Karingal Secondary College (formerly Karingal High School) and Ballam Park Secondary College (formerly Ballam Park Technical College). Karingal High School was originally located in the Life Saving Club in Frankston, during the 1950s, before relocating to the suburb of Karingal. In 2009 Karingal Park Secondary College changed its name to McClelland Secondary College, although it was also known as McClelland College by the community. This decision was taken by the staff of the school and the local council. This led to a change in the school's uniform, and the school's colours are now purple and grey.

Frankston North (originally the Pines Forest Estate, also known as "The Pines") is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 38 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Frankston local government area. Frankston North recorded a population of 5,711 at the 2021 census.

Monterey Secondary College is an Australian public, co-educational, secondary school, located in the City of Frankston suburb of Frankston North in Melbourne, Victoria. Established in 1994, following the merger of Monterey High School and Monterey Technical School, the College has an enrolment of approximately 325 students and is known for its arts, sports and student leadership programs.

St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed hospital providing specialist inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care.Located in Frankston, Victoria, the facility is a specialist rehabilitation hospital, providing neurological, orthopedic, cardiac and reconditioning programs. The hospital was built in 1976 and opened the following year as Peninsula Private Hospital. It then relocated to a new site in 1999 and shortly after became the Nepean Rehabilitation Hospital. The facility was acquired by St John of God Health Care in March 2004 and renamed St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital in 2012.The hospital made global news in 2009 for its work with Russell McPhee, a man who had been paralysed for 20 years. After undertaking a course of botulinum toxin injections – or botox – McPhee was reportedly able to walk again.St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital is a division of St John of God Health Care.

Langwarrin is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 42 km (26 mi) south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Frankston local government area. Langwarrin recorded a population of 23,588 at the 2021 census.Langwarrin is bounded in the north generally by Valley Road, in the east by Dandenong-Hastings Road, in the south by Robinsons Road and in the west by the Mornington Peninsula Freeway and by McClelland Drive to the north of the suburb. It is a very liveable area with an abundance of family friendly areas.

Electoral district of Frankston East was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. It was created in 1992, mostly out of the old Frankston North. The seat is notable for having decided the 1999 state election, which proved to be the last election in which it was contested. The incumbent, Liberal-turned-independent Peter McLellan, died on election day, forcing a supplementary election a month later. Neither the Coalition nor Labor had won a majority, placing the balance of power in the hands of three independents. They deferred their decision until the supplementary election. In the 16 October supplementary election, Labor candidate Matt Viney won on a swing of 7.7 percent, resulting in a hung parliament. The independents then announced their support for Labor, making Labor leader Steve Bracks premier.

John Paul College is a Catholic secondary school in Frankston, Victoria, Australia. It was established under the authority of the Archbishop of Melbourne and operated on his behalf by the parish priests of the five member parishes of the region — Frankston, Frankston East, Langwarrin, Chelsea and Seaford, through the College Board.

The Frankston Power Centre, also colloquially known as "The Power Centre" (previously the Frankston Homemaker Centre), is a hard goods retail park run by Harvey Norman Holdings within the approximate centre of Frankston, being around 40 kilometres south of Melbourne's CBD. The complex comprises 30 large format independent stores, including parking for 1300 vehicles (including 425 underground parking spaces). Across from the complex are stores such as the hardware superstore Bunnings and JB Hi-Fi, but these are not run by the same company. The Centre is located at the crossroads of three major arterials of Frankston known as Cranbourne Road, McMahons Road and the Frankston Freeway.

Leawarra railway station is located on the Stony Point line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Frankston, and it opened on 30 November 1959 as Rail Motor Stopping Place No. 16. It was renamed Leawarra in 1962.The station serves the nearby Peninsula Campus of Monash University.

The Electoral district of Frankston North was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. It was formed in 1985 when population increases in the Frankston area saw the Electoral district of Frankston divided into Frankston North and Frankston South, but absorbed back into Frankston in 1992.
