Langdon is a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada under the jurisdiction of Rocky View County. It previously held village status between August 31, 1907, and January 1, 1946. Langdon is located 12 km (7.5 mi) east of the City of Calgary at the intersection of Highway 560 (Glenmore Trail) and Highway 797, approximately 6 km (3.7 mi) south of the Trans Canada Highway and 7 km (4.3 mi) north of Highway 22X. It has an elevation of 1,005 m (3,297 ft). The hamlet is located in Census Division No. 6 and in the federal riding of Bow River. The hamlet is represented in federal government by Member of Parliament Martin Shields and in municipal government by Councillor Al Schule.

Chestermere High School is a public high school near Chestermere, Alberta, Canada. About 900 students were enrolled at this school before Grade 9 was removed in 2010 to reduce overcrowding. Currently, there are about 1100 students. The school features three parking lots, one for grades 10 and 11, one for 11 and 12, and a special one for the staff. It was originally two separate schools: an elementary school and the other for grades 7–12. After an elementary school and middle school were erected in Chestermere, the two were joined by a hallway and the old school became a senior high. The hallway was torn down and renovated in 2008. The hallway now houses several murals, including one of Bob Marley - indicative of the culture throughout the administration.

The name 'Indus' was suggested in 1914 to the Canadian Pacific Railway by Dr. J.M. Fulton, was the shortened version of "industry". When the rail line reached this area, Dr. Fulton envisioned industrial growth for the region.

Chestermere Lake is a man-made reservoir in Chestermere, Alberta, Canada. It was built in the 1880s by the Canadian Pacific Railway, for irrigation of the area between Calgary and Strathmore. It is now used mainly for recreation purposes, such as swimming, windsurfing, fishing and skating (in winter). The City of Chestermere surrounds the lake on all sides. The Trans-Canada Highway follows the northeastern shore, while the railway tracks pass by the southern shore. The lake covers a surface of 2.65 square kilometres (1.02 square miles) and has a maximum depth of 7 metres (23 feet). It drains into two irrigation canals and is filled via a canal from the Bow River along Radisson Heights.

The station currently broadcasts a hot adult contemporary format branded as The Eagle 100.9. The station first began broadcasting in 2003. The station is currently owned by Golden West Broadcasting. The station held the call sign CFXL-FM until June 2008, when it adopted its current call sign. The former CIQX-FM in Calgary took over the "CFXL-FM" call sign a few days later. The Eagle also operates a local news portal called Okotoks Online and provides local news and coverage for Okotoks and surrounding area.
