High Point Estates is an unincorporated community in Alberta, Canada within Rocky View County that is recognized as a designated place by Statistics Canada. It is located on Township Road 241A, 0.8 km (0.50 mi) south of Highway 1. It is adjacent to the city of Chestermere to the west.

Chestermere Lake is a man-made reservoir in Chestermere, Alberta, Canada. It was built in the 1880s by the Canadian Pacific Railway, for irrigation of the area between Calgary and Strathmore. It is now used mainly for recreation purposes, such as swimming, windsurfing, fishing and skating (in winter). The City of Chestermere surrounds the lake on all sides. The Trans-Canada Highway follows the northeastern shore, while the railway tracks pass by the southern shore. The lake covers a surface of 2.65 square kilometres (1.02 square miles) and has a maximum depth of 7 metres (23 feet). It drains into two irrigation canals and is filled via a canal from the Bow River along Radisson Heights.

Langdon is located 12 km (7.5 mi) east of the City of Calgary at the intersection of Highway 560 (Glenmore Trail) and Highway 797, approximately 6 km (3.7 mi) south of the Trans Canada Highway and 7 km (4.3 mi) north of Highway 22X. It has an elevation of 1,005 m (3,297 ft). The hamlet is located in Census Division No. 6 and in the federal riding of Bow River. The hamlet is represented in federal government by Member of Parliament Martin Shields and in municipal government by Councillor Al Schule.

Indus is a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada under the jurisdiction of Rocky View County. It is home to the Bill Herron ArenaIndus is located approximately 6.1 km (3.8 mi) east of the City of Calgary's eastern limits and 24 km (15 mi) southeast of Downtown Calgary on Highway 791, 0.6 km (0.4 mi) north of Highway 22X. Indus is home to a recreation complex that serves Rocky View County and the southeast communities in the Calgary region of which is made up of a mix which includes multi-generational Canadian farm families and acreage owners. Indus's community hockey program is young, having been founded in the early 1970s, but in a relatively short time has developed a strong program that has seen many of its participating athletes move to advanced levels including junior hockey, Canadian university & USA college (NCAA), as well as professional hockey. The name 'Indus' was suggested in 1914 to the Canadian Pacific Railway by Dr. J.M. Fulton, was the shortened version of "industry". When the rail line reached this area, Dr. Fulton envisioned industrial growth for the region.

Conrich is a hamlet in southern Alberta under the jurisdiction of Rocky View County.Conrich is located 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) east of the City of Calgary's eastern limits and approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) northeast of Downtown Calgary on McKnight Boulevard. It has been anticipated that the hamlet will eventually be annexed by Calgary. However, Calgary's 2007 annexation did not move its eastern limits closer to the hamlet.Conrich got its start as a flag station for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. A flag station was exactly that: passengers wanting to board had to flag the train down. The land for the site was obtained from W.F. Birch. The railroad reached here in 1913, and the name comes from the surnames of two real estate developers, Connacher and Richardson . The Canadian National Railway took over the line in 1918. That year, a 30,000 bushel grain elevator was also built. A post office operated at this site from August 15, 1925, to December 12, 1960.

CKUV-FM is a Canadian radio station being licensed to Okotoks, Alberta, serving the Foothills region broadcasting at 100.9 FM. The station currently broadcasts a hot adult contemporary format branded as The Eagle 100.9. The station first began broadcasting in 2003. The station is currently owned by Golden West Broadcasting. The station held the call sign CFXL-FM until June 2008, when it adopted its current call sign. The former CIQX-FM in Calgary took over the "CFXL-FM" call sign a few days later. The Eagle also operates a local news portal called Okotoks Online and provides local news and coverage for Okotoks and surrounding area.

Delacour () is a hamlet in southern Alberta under the jurisdiction of Rocky View County. It is located approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) east of the City of Calgary, and 24 km (15 mi) from its downtown. The hamlet features a creek valley setting and a golf club.
