The Ronald Kirk Bridge is a pedestrian bridge over the Trinity River in Dallas, Texas. It connects Downtown Dallas and West Dallas, paralleling the 2012 Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge for vehicles, and the 1930 Texas and Pacific Railway Trinity River Bridge.

The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is a bridge in Dallas, Texas, that spans the Trinity River. The bridge is named for Margaret Hunt Hill, an heiress and philanthropist. The bridge was constructed as part of the Trinity River Project. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, it is one of three such bridges planned to be built over the Trinity; the second, the Margaret McDermott Bridge, is completed; the third cancelled. The span parallels the Ronald Kirk Bridge, a walking bridge that was previously the Continental Avenue bridge.

Dallas Contemporary, founded in 1978, is a contemporary art museum located in the Design District of Dallas, Texas.

The Margaret McDermott Bridge is a conventional concrete pier-and-beam freeway bridge with cable-stayed bike lines over the Trinity River in Dallas, Texas. It replaced the late-1950s to early-1960s Interstate 30 (I-30) bridge, which reached its end of life. It was partially designed by Santiago Calatrava, and is part of the Trinity River Project and the Horseshoe Project. It was named for Margaret McDermott, an area philanthropist.

The Jesse R. Dawson State Jail (JD) was a co-gender nonviolent offender state jail operated by the Corrections Corporation of America owned by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). It was located in Downtown Dallas, on the banks of the Trinity River.For a long time, officials from the City of Dallas have advocated for the closure of the jail in order to use the land for the Trinity River Corridor Project. Because of some health-related deaths that occurred before May 2013, the Texas Civil Rights Project, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other area groups had advocated for the closure of the jail. Because the State of Texas had a decrease in its state jail population, state lawmakers had wanted the prison closed. Texas Senator John Whitmire advocated for closing Dawson and the Mineral Wells Pre-Parole Transfer Facility in late 2012. In May 2013 the state government moved to end the $97 million budget for the facility as a way of closing the facility. The facility was closed in August 2013.

The Design District is a neighborhood in central Dallas, Texas, just northwest of Downtown. It is bordered by I-35E on the north and east, Wycliff Avenue and the Trinity River levee on the west, and Continental Avenue on the south. Formerly a warehouse district, it is now known for its interior design showrooms and art galleries, from which it gets its name. In recent years, it has also become known for its fine dining establishments and upscale apartments.

Trammell Crow Park is a public park located in downtown Dallas, Texas, United States. The park spans a wide area, from the border with Irving in the west, to the downtown area to the east. The park was named for real estate developer Trammell Crow. The Trinity River flows through the center of the park, with the West Fork, and Elm Forks entering near Irving, and numerous smaller creeks meeting the river, including Knights Branch Creek, Cedar Creek, and Coombs Creek. A number of bridges also pass over the park, notably the Margaret McDermott Bridge, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the Interstate 35E.

On October 22, 2022, a shooting occurred on the fourth floor of the Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, resulting in two deaths. At the scene police arrested Nestor Oswaldo Hernandez from North Dallas, a 30-year-old parolee, and subsequently took him into custody. He is charged with capital murder related to the two deaths.

Victory station is a mass transit station in Dallas, Texas. It serves Trinity Railway Express commuter rail line, DART Light Rail trains, and DART buses. Located along the Stemmons Corridor in the Uptown neighborhood, the station opened in 2001 in the Victory Park development as a temporary platform shortly after the opening of the American Airlines Center.

The Hyatt Regency Dallas is a 28-story, 1,120-room hotel in Dallas, Texas' Reunion district. The building is connected to Union Station and Reunion Tower, which is the city's landmark observation tower. The Y-shaped building has an atrium on the south side. In 1998, the hotel added a low-rise ballroom with an area of 32,000 square feet (the equivalent of 3,000 square meters). The Hyatt Regency Dallas recently completed a $50-million renovation that features newly redone guestrooms, bathrooms and corridors.

One Victory Park is a skyscraper in Uptown Dallas. On October 27, 2008 Haynes and Boone moved into One Victory Park; the firm was the first major tenant that moved into the building. The firm downsized its space to 175,000 square feet (16,300 m2) of space on six floors. The offices of higher ranked employees were the same size as those of lower ranked employees so efficiency could be increased. The company announced that it was moving its headquarters in 2006.In 2007 PlainsCapital Corporation announced that it is leasing 48,500 square feet (4,510 m2) in One Victory Park; it is the second major tenant to sign a lease for space in the Victory Tower.
