Ardoyne Plantation House is located on Highway 311 in Schriever, Louisiana, just northwest of Houma, Louisiana. It was built 1894 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1982.

L. E. Fletcher Technical Community College is a community college in Schriever, Louisiana in Terrebonne Parish. The school was founded on June 23, 1948.Its service area includes Iberia, Lafourche, St. Mary, and Terrebonne parishes, as well as the southern section of St. Martin Parish.

H. L. Bourgeois High School is a public high school in Gray, Louisiana, United States and one of four traditional high schools in the Terrebonne Parish School District. The school is named after Henry Louis Bourgeois, an educator who served as superintendent of the school district from 1914 to 1955. Built in response to a rising population at Terrebonne High School, the school opened in 1973 and was first accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1975. For its first 40 years, HLB primarily served students in grades 10–12. For the 2013–2014 school year, an all-new Freshman Center was completed to serve ninth-grade students. Prior to this, freshman students were housed at nearby Evergreen Junior High School.The school serves the communities of Gray, Schriever, Gibson, Donner, and Chacahoula, as well as parts of Houma and Thibodaux.

Gray is a census-designated place (CDP) in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. The population was 5,518 in 2020. It is part of the Houma–Bayou Cane–Thibodaux metropolitan statistical area.

The Orange Grove Plantation House is a historic house on a former plantation in Terrebonne Parish, about eight miles away from Houma, Louisiana. It was built in 1850 for John C. Beatty, a sugar planter who owned slaves. The plantation spanned 2,470 acres of land when it was sold at auction shortly after Beatty's death in 1857. Beatty's slaves were sold with the property.The house was designed in the Greek Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 26, 1980.

Southland Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located in Houma, Louisiana, United States, at the intersection of Bayou Gardens Boulevard and West Park Avenue. It was remodeled in 2006. The mall had required a curfew in 1996 because of teens fighting. In 1998, the mall added a Santa fixture. The movie theater closed in 2007. Scooters were used for security in 2010. During the summer of 2016, the Sears, which opened in 1966, closed after poor sales, as well as other Sears stores across the U.S. Anchor stores are Dillard's and JCPenney.

Bayou Cane is a census-designated place (CDP) in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is located just north of Houma and had a population of 19,770 in 2020. Bayou Cane is the principal city of the Houma–Bayou Cane–Thibodaux metropolitan statistical area, which includes all of Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.

Broadmoor is an unincorporated community in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, United States.

Magnolia Plantation, built in 1858, is a private residence located on Louisiana Highway 311, west of New Orleans and 3 miles (5 km) south of Schriever, Louisiana. The plantation was built to cultivate sugarcane, which was a critical part of Terrebonne Parish's antebellum economy. The plantation house is one of six surviving Greek Revival plantation houses in the parish. A portion of the film 12 Years a Slave was filmed at the plantation. On April 15, 2016, a paranormal investigation aired on the Travel Channel on the show Ghost Brothers featuring the Magnolia Plantation. The plantation was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Vandebilt Catholic High School is a private diocesan co-educational institution for grades 8-12 located in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana and in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. It is located in the unincorporated area of Bayou Cane, near Houma.

The Chacahoula Swamp Bridge is a twin concrete trestle bridge in the U.S. state of Louisiana. With a total length of 29,544 ft (9,005 m), it is one of the longest bridges in the world. The bridge carries US 90 over the Chacahoula Swamp in Louisiana The bridge was opened in 1995.

Southdown High School was a segregated school for black students in Houma, Louisiana. It was a part of Terrebonne Parish School District It opened in 1946 as Houma Colored High School, and in 1949 it became Southtown High School. In 1952 grades 6-12 began classes and in 1953 the first class graduated. Its name changed to Southdown High School when it moved into its final location, a St. Charles Street building. Its books originated from the then-white Terrebonne High School and South Terrebonne High School. Eventually it became a grade 9-12 school. In 1969 the school closed following desegregation, and students moved to South Terrebonne High School and Terrebonne High School.
