French-American School of Chicago

The Burling Row House District is a historic district in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The district was built in the post-Chicago Fire year of 1875 by Edward J. Burling. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on November 15, 2000.

The Greenhouse Theater Center is a professional, non-profit theater located in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park. The Greenhouse Theater Center hosts multiple Off-Loop theater companies, including Eclipse Theatre Company, Hubris Productions, MPAACT, Organic Theatre Company, Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, The Magic Cabaret, and Theater Seven Of Chicago.

Oz Park is a public park in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of North Side, Chicago. It is located at 2021 North Burling Street, at the corner of Lincoln and Webster, just south of the Lincoln, Halsted, and Fullerton intersection. The park borders Lincoln Park High School and features many statues fashioned after characters in The Wizard of Oz, a book which was authored by Chicago reporter L. Frank Baum. It is open from 6 AM to 11 PM, and pets are allowed.

St. Clement Catholic Church was built in 1917–1918 in Lincoln Park in Chicago. The architect was Thomas P. Barnett of the St. Louis firm of Barnett, Haynes & Barnett. The church was built in a Byzantine style reminiscent of the church of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. The decoration of the half-dome behind the high altar is a copy of the twelfth- or thirteenth-century mosaic in the apse of the Basilica of San Clemente al Laterano in Rome. The ground to begin building the church was broken on March 19, 1917.

The Mid-North District or Midtown-North is a historic district in the Lincoln Park community area of Chicago, Illinois. The district was built from 1865 to 1900 by various architects. It is bounded by Fullerton Avenue to the north, Armitage Avenue to the south, Lincoln Avenue to the west and Clark Street to the east. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on August 31, 1977.

The Ann Halsted House is a house located at 440 W. Belden Street in the Lincoln Park community area of Chicago, Illinois. Designed in 1883 and built by 1884, the house is the oldest surviving residence designed by Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan. The brick house is designed in the Queen Anne style, which can be seen in its pointed bay windows and the detailed brickwork on the cornices and chimneys on the sides of the house; however, the front of the home reflects a French influence. Sullivan's influence on the home's exterior can mainly be seen in the dormers at the front and back and in the pediments on the sides. The fireplace and railings inside the house are also Queen Anne style, though they too reflect early traces of Sullivan's characteristic design.The Ann Halsted House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 17, 1973.

On June 29, 2003, the deadliest porch collapse in United States history occurred in Chicago.An overloaded balcony collapsed during a party in an apartment building, killing thirteen people and seriously injuring fifty-seven others. The ensuing investigation was highly critical of the way the balcony was built, finding a large number of errors in its construction which ultimately resulted in the collapse. However, the building's owner, LG Properties, and its president, Philip Pappas, continues to blame overcrowding on the balcony for its complete structural failure, although he has taken steps to strengthen the balconies at other properties to prevent a recurrence of the disaster.The accident resulted in sweeping inspections of similar structures across Chicago, with 1,260 cases being acted on by the city authorities.

Lincoln Park High School (LPHS) is a public four–year high school located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Lincoln Park High School, operated by the Chicago Public Schools District, opened its main present building in 1900. The school borders Oz Park, a public park owned by the Chicago Park District. It was formerly known as North Division High School and then Robert A. Waller High School. In 1981, the school began its International Baccalaureate program. It was one of the first schools to begin the program within the Chicago Public Schools district.

2424 North Lincoln Avenue is a building in Lincoln Park, Chicago adjacent to the Biograph Theater. From 1912 to 2006, it variously housed the Fullerton Theater, an auto garage, the Crest Theater, and the 3-Penny Cinema. Since 2009 it has been Lincoln Hall, a music venue.

The Biograph Theater on Lincoln Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, was originally a movie theater but now presents live productions. It gained early notoriety as the location where bank robber John Dillinger was leaving when he was shot down by FBI agents, after he watched a gangster movie there on July 22, 1934. The theater is on the National Register of Historic Places and was designated a Chicago Landmark on March 28, 2001.

Victory Gardens Theater is a theater company in Chicago, Illinois dedicated to the development and production of new plays and playwrights. The theater company was founded in 1974 when eight Chicago artists, Cecil O'Neal, Warren Casey, Stuart Gordon, Cordis Heard, Roberta Maguire, Mac McGuinnes, June Pyskaček, and David Rasche each fronted $1,000 to start a company outside the Chicago Loop and Gordon donated the light board of his Organic Theater Company. The theater's first production, The Velvet Rose, by Stacy Myatt premiered on October 9, 1974.
