Front de Seine

The Cheminée du Front-de-Seine is a chimney located in the 15th arrondissement, in the Front de Seine district of Paris. It is 130 metres high and the tallest structure in the district by 30 metres. The chimney was designed by François Stahly and was built between 1970 and 1971. Its simple white form is unadorned except for aesthetic vents located in top of the structure.

École centrale d'électronique (ECE) is a French graduate engineering school of OMNES Education in Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux, France. It was established on 1919. The College is member of the Union of Independent Grandes Écoles.It mainly trains in information technologies (information systems, telecoms, networks, IoT, embedded systems, finance, multimedia). It also offers training in health and the link with technology, transport and mobility, energy and the environment.

The Liberal Jewish Movement of France or MJLF is a Jewish liberal cultural and religious association affiliated with the World Union for Progressive Judaism. Founded in 1977, the movement promotes Jewish religious and cultural life through its two synagogues. The MJLF was created in June 1977 by fifty families under the leadership of Rabbi Daniel Farhi, first President Roger Benarrosh, and Colette Kessler, head of education. Many rabbis have contributed to the development of MJLF, including Daniel Farhi (1977-2009) Stephen Berkowitz, (1989–92;1995-1997; 2004-2013), Oren Postel, Pauline Bebe (1990-1995), Gabriel Farhi (1995-2007), and Célia Surget. Three rabbis currently provide the leadership for the movement: Floriane Chinsky, Yann Boissière, and Delphine Horvilleur. The MJLF operates a joint synagogue and community center on 11 rue Gaston de Cavaillet in the 15th arrondissement, on the Front de Seine, a few hundred meters from the old "Vel d'Hiv". A second synagogue, established in 1983 to expand in eastern Paris, located at 24 rue du Surmelin in the 20th arrondissement.

Île aux Cygnes (French: [il o siɲ]; English: Isle of the Swans) is a small artificial island on the river Seine in Paris, France, in the 15th arrondissement. It was created in 1827 to protect the bridge named the pont de Grenelle. It should not be confused with an earlier Île des Cygnes that was attached to the Champ de Mars in the late 18th century. The uninhabited island is 850 metres (2,789 ft) long and 11 metres (36 ft) at its widest point, making it the third-largest island in Paris. A tree-lined walkway, named L'Allée des Cygnes (Path of Swans), runs the length of the island. Since 2012, there has been a public workout space with bicycles and a climbing wall underneath the Pont de Grenelle, close to a Statue of Liberty replica.The island is crossed by three bridges: the Pont de Grenelle, the Pont Rouelle and the Pont de Bir-Hakeim. It is served by the Passy and Bir-Hakeim Métro stations.

The Pont Rouelle (English: Rouelle Bridge) is a railway bridge in Paris that crosses the river Seine. It connects the city's 15th and 16th arrondissements, and passes through the Île aux Cygnes. Constructed of steel, the bridge is 173 metres (567 feet) long and 20 metres (66 feet) wide. It is currently used for railway service, carrying the RER C.

The Direction de la Surveillance du Territoire (DST; English: Directorate of Territorial Surveillance) was a directorate of the French National Police operating as a domestic intelligence agency. It was responsible for counterespionage, counterterrorism and more generally the security of France against foreign threats and interference. It was created in 1944 with its headquarters situated at 7 rue Nélaton in Paris. On 1 July 2008, it was merged with the Direction centrale des renseignements généraux into the new Direction centrale du renseignement intérieur.The DST Economic Security and Protection of National Assets department had units in the 22 regions of France to protect French technology. It operated for 20 years, not only on behalf of defense industry leaders, but also for pharmaceuticals, telecoms, the automobile industry, and all manufacturing and service sectors.

Beaugrenelle Paris is a shopping mall located in Paris' 15th arrondissement, close to the River Seine and 10 minutes' walk from the Eiffel Tower. It is one of the biggest shopping malls in Paris' inner city. A mix between a department store and a shopping mall, Beaugrenelle is home to 120 shops and restaurants. Another landmark close to the mall is the 37.73-foot high replica of the Statue of Liberty, a gift from the USA to France in 1889.

The Vélodrome d'Hiver (French pronunciation: ​[velɔdʁɔm divɛʁ], Winter Velodrome), colloquially Vel' d'Hiv', was an indoor bicycle racing cycle track and stadium (velodrome) on rue Nélaton, not far from the Eiffel Tower in Paris. As well as a cycling track, it was used for ice hockey, basketball, wrestling, boxing, roller-skating, circuses, bullfighting, spectaculars, and demonstrations. It was the first permanent indoor track in France and the name persisted for other indoor tracks built subsequently. In July 1942, French police, acting under orders from the German authorities in Occupied Paris, used the velodrome to hold thousands of Jews and others who were victims in a mass arrest. The Jews were held at the velodrome before they were moved to a concentration camp in the Parisian suburbs at Drancy and then to the extermination camp at Auschwitz. The incident became known as the "Vel' d'Hiv' Roundup" (Rafle du Vel' d'Hiv').

Champ de Mars–Tour Eiffel (or simply Champ de Mars) is a station on RER C in Paris. The site has accommodated a total of five stations, the last of which remains in service for the Paris RER. The station was originally built to receive goods necessary for the construction of the pavilions for the Exposition Universelle of 1867, and for subsequent World's Fairs in 1878, 1889, 1900 and 1937. The location was chosen as it was then a large piece of land devoid of buildings, facing the Trocadéro and the École Militaire. It was built on the street corner of the Avenue de Suffren and the Quai Branly.

Charles Michels (French pronunciation: ​[ʃaʁl miʃɛl]) is a station on Line 10 of the Paris Métro. It is located in the 15th arrondissement.

Bir-Hakeim (French pronunciation: ​[biʁ akɛm]) is an elevated station of the Paris Métro serving line 6 in the Boulevard de Grenelle in the 15th arrondissement. It is situated on the left bank of the Bir-Hakeim bridge over the Seine. The name of both the bridge and the station commemorates the World War II battle of Bir Hakeim. The station is above the RER C line; the station Champ de Mars - Tour Eiffel is within walking distance.

The Pont de Bir-Hakeim (English: Bridge of Bir-Hakeim), formerly the Pont de Passy (Bridge of Passy), is a bridge that crosses the Seine in Paris. It connects the 15th and 16th arrondissement, passing through the Île aux Cygnes. The bridge, made of steel, is the second to have stood at the site. It was constructed between 1903 and 1905, replacing an earlier bridge that had been erected in 1878. An arch bridge, it is 237 metres (777 ft) long and 24.7 metres (81 ft) wide. It was designed by the architect Jean-Camille Formigé, who also designed the Viaduc d'Austerlitz, the Jardin des Serres d'Auteuil, as well as the park below the Sacré-Cœur; he also restored the Roman amphitheatre in Arles and the Roman theatre in Orange.
