Fort Martin Scott is a restored United States Army outpost near Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country, United States, that was active from December 5, 1848, until April, 1853. It was part of a line of frontier forts established to protect travelers and settlers within Texas.

Der Stadt Friedhof (the city cemetery) is a pioneer cemetery established in 1846 along Barons Creek on the corner of East Schubert Street and Lee Street, in Fredericksburg, Texas. It is the oldest known cemetery within Fredericksburg and is the final resting place for many of the original German colonists who arrived when John O. Meusebach opened up the area to settlement.

Charles Henry Nimitz (born Karl Heinrich Nimitz; November 9, 1826 – April 28, 1911) was born in Bremen, Germany, the son of a merchant seaman. Like his father before him, he was already a veteran seaman before the Nimitz family immigrated to South Carolina in the early 1840s, and later became part of the Adelsverein colonization experiment in the newly annexed state of Texas. He was the grandfather of, and role model for, Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz. In 1852, he built the Nimitz Hotel in Fredericksburg, Texas, in the United States. The hotel he built now houses the National Museum of the Pacific War. The Nimitz Hotel was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1989, Marker number 10089. Nimitz was elected to the Twenty-second Texas Legislature in 1890, representing Gillespie, Comal and Blanco counties, which constituted District 89.

The Japanese Garden of Peace is a peace garden installed at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas.

The National Museum of the Pacific War is located in Fredericksburg, Texas, the boyhood home of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz. Nimitz served as commander in chief, United States Pacific Fleet (CinCPAC), and was soon afterward named commander in chief, Pacific Ocean Areas, during World War II. The six-acre site includes the Admiral Nimitz Museum, which is housed in the old Nimitz Hotel and tells the story of Nimitz beginning with his life as a young boy through his naval career as well as the evolution of the old hotel.

HA. 19 (also known as Japanese Midget Submarine "C" by the United States Navy) is a historic Imperial Japanese Navy Type A Kō-hyōteki-class midget submarine that was part of the Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. The submarine's crew was ordered to enter Pearl Harbor, attack the moored American warships with its two torpedoes and then scuttle her with explosives. However, the crew was unable to enter the harbor due to navigational difficulties, and the submarine ran aground and was captured by American forces. HA. 19 is now displayed at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Fredericksburg (German: Friedrichsburg) is a city in, and the seat of, Gillespie County, Texas, United States. As of the 2010 Census, this city had a population of 10,530.Fredericksburg was founded in 1846 and named after Prince Frederick of Prussia. Old-time German residents often referred to Fredericksburg as Fritztown, a nickname that is still used in some businesses. It is located 70 miles northwest of San Antonio, and approximately 80 miles west of Austin. This city is also notable as the home of Texas German, a dialect spoken by the first generations of German settlers who initially refused to learn English. Fredericksburg shares many cultural characteristics with New Braunfels, which had been established by Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels the previous year. Fredericksburg is the birthplace of Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz. It is the sister city of Montabaur, Germany. On October 14, 1970, the Fredericksburg Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in Texas.

The Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country AVA is an American Viticultural Area surrounding the town of Fredericksburg, Texas in the Texas Hill Country.Fredericksburg and the surrounding area were settled by German immigrants in the nineteenth century. These settlers were the first to cultivate grapevines in the Texas Hill Country. The appellation is over 200 miles (322 km) from the Gulf of Mexico, and feels little effect from the hot, humid, coastal winds.

Meusebach Creek School is located at 515 Kuhlmann Road in Gillespie County, in the U.S. state of Texas. It was consolidated with Fredericksburg Independent School District in 1954. The school is currently being used as a community center and was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings in Gillespie County, Texas on May 10, 2005.Four buildings have served as the school. Erected on land owned by local resident Fritz Lochte, the original structure was a 96 square feet (8.9 m2) shingle-roofed log cabin. In the post-Civil War years, enrollment included students whose parents had been slaves on an area cotton plantation. On the same property, the log cabin was replaced by a larger stone structure in the 1880s. In 1897, local resident Louis Bonn deeded an acre of his land over to the school. A new 1-1/2 story frame structure was erected to house the school. The current building was the fourth building to serve as the school. It was erected in 1931.The school was originally bilingual with reading in both the German and English languages. The state of Texas eventually passed a law requiring all classes but language lessons to be solely in the English language. Tuition paid by the families supported the school and paid for the instructor. State financial education supplements allowed the district to offer free education for two months of the year, but charged tuition for the other months. The 1917 establishment of the local Social and Improvement Club helped provide improvements and furnishings for the school.

The Pioneer Memorial Library is located at 115 W. Main Street, Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, in the U.S. state of Texas. Designed by Alfred Giles, it was built in 1882 to replace the original 1855 courthouse, and was later superseded by the current 1939 courthouse designed by Edward Stein. The first floor houses the Children's Section, while the second floor houses the Adult Section, Texas Room, and newspapers and magazines. It is also called the McDermott Building because of the 1967 and 1984 restorations funded by Mr. & Mrs. Eugene McDermott. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, and was designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1967.

The Fredericksburg Historic District is located in Fredericksburg, Texas in Gillespie County. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in Texas on October 14, 1970 The district area coincides with the original platting of the town by Herman Wilke, and the streets are laid out in a wide grid. The district is bordered approximately on the north by Schubert Street and the south by Creek Street, on the west by Acorn Street and the east by Elk Street. It encompasses one contributing object (sculpture of John O. Meusebach), 367 contributing buildings and 191 non-contributing buildings. Many of the buildings in the historic district have been designated either a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, and/or added to the National Register of Historic Places listings in Texas.
