WLIP (1050 AM) is a commercial radio station in Kenosha, Wisconsin, serving parts of the Chicago and Milwaukee metropolitan areas, along the west shore of Lake Michigan. The station airs a talk radio format and is owned by Alpha Media, through licensee Alpha Media Licensee LLC. The radio studios are in the north end of the Gurnee Mills Mall in Gurnee, Illinois. WLIP broadcasts with 250 watts, using a non-directional antenna. It is limited in its power because 1050 AM is a Mexican clear channel frequency and WLIP must avoid interference with Class A station XEG in Monterrey, as well as 50,000-watt CHUM in Toronto. WLIP's transmitter (on land which formerly contained its studios) is off Green Bay Road (Wisconsin Highway 31) in Pleasant Prairie.
