WLIP

WIIL (95.1 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Union Grove, Wisconsin. The station serves Kenosha (its original city of license), Racine, the southern suburbs of Milwaukee and the northern suburbs of Chicago. WIIL is owned and operated by Alpha Media and airs an active rock radio format. The call letters stand for Wisconsin and Illinois for its dual-state coverage area. The station is branded as "95 WIIL Rock," with "WIIL" pronounced on air the same as 'will.' The station has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts, the maximum output for the region in which it operates. The station's transmitter is off Green Bay Road (Wisconsin Highway 31) at 85th Street in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, while its studio is based in the north end of the Gurnee Mills mall in Gurnee.WIIL serves as a complement to Alpha's station licensed to Coal City, Illinois, and broadcasting from Crest Hill, WRXQ (100.7), which serves the southern and southwest suburbs of Chicago.

Truesdell is a residential and business neighborhood of the city of Kenosha in east-central Kenosha County, Wisconsin, United States. It lies along Highway 50 on the former Milwaukee Road (now Canadian Pacific) main railroad line from Chicago, Illinois (C&M Subdivision). The last Milwaukee Road passenger trains stopped in Truesdell in 1945, but there are still switching facilities present. The community was settled by Gideon and Julia Truesdell in the 19th century, but the community itself has disappeared within the city of Kenosha and related surrounding development, though some businesses still identify with the original name. The Truesdell post office, organized in 1870, closed on May 1, 1953; its postmistress, Mrs. Jennie H. Alsted, had operated it from her home's back porch for 31 years.

Pleasant Prairie Power Plant was a 1.21-gigawatt (1,210 MW) coal power plant located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin in Kenosha County. In 2009, it was listed by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) as the largest generating station in Wisconsin and generated roughly 13% of Wisconsin's electricity, burning around 13,000 tons of coal daily.

LakeView Technology Academy is a vocational high school in the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. It serves students grades 9 to 12 from all across KUSD with a focus on STEM education. LakeView opened in the fall of 1997 as a response to overcrowding in KUSD. The school also has partnerships with the Kenosha Area Business Alliance and Gateway Technical College. LakeView is ranked the 234th best high school in the nation, making it the 2nd best in Wisconsin.

Pleasant Prairie is a village in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Located in Kenosha County along the southwestern shoreline of Lake Michigan, Pleasant Prairie was home to 21,250 people at the 2020 census. The village is positioned directly south of the city of Kenosha and directly north of the Illinois border. Although located just 37 miles south of Milwaukee, it is part of the U.S. Census Bureau's Chicago combined statistical area (CSA) and metropolitan statistical area despite being 57 miles north of Chicago. Among its notable features are the RecPlex and Chiwaukee Prairie.

Aurora is now part of the city of Kenosha, in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, but was the site of one of the area's earliest post offices, opened in the early 1830s at the Willis Tavern, the Aurora community center on the west side of the old Green Bay Trail (now Highway 31) just north of what is now 60th Street (Kenosha County Highway K). A Chicago-Milwaukee stagecoach line began operating in 1836 (twelve years before Wisconsin statehood) and served Aurora. The post office was finally closed in 1843. No traces of the community exist today.

Indian Trail High School and Academy is a public high school in Kenosha, Wisconsin, part of the Kenosha Unified School District. Unlike the other high schools in the district, ITHS/A houses a comprehensive high school and an alternative school under one roof; both schools share the music and physical education programs and some academic and elective classes such as foreign languages and Advanced Placement (AP) classes.

The Pleasant Prairie RecPlex is a recreational facility in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. "The Largest Municipal Recreational Facility in America", it consists of 302,000 square feet in Prairie Springs Park on the shores of Lake Andrea.

The Kenosha County Library System (KCLS) is the southeastern-most of 15 public library systems in Wisconsin, serving Kenosha County. Along with the Milwaukee County Federated Library System (MCFLS), it is one of only two single-county public library organizations in the state. The KCLS has two members, the Kenosha Public Library (KPL) serving the city of Kenosha, and the Community Library, which serves the town of Randall and the villages of Paddock Lake, Salem Lakes, and Twin Lakes.

WWDV (96.9 FM) is a radio station in Zion, Illinois, known as "The Drive". The station is currently owned by Hubbard Broadcasting, and is a full-time simulcast of Chicago-licensed WDRV (97.1 MHz), serving the Kenosha, Wisconsin–Waukegan, Illinois, area. "The Drive" programs a broad-based classic rock format.

Christian Life School is an independent, evangelical, interdenominational, co-educational, college-preparatory school located in Kenosha, Wisconsin in the United States. It has 759 students, from Prekindergarten to 12th grade, and 54 teachers.The school was founded in 1977 by Journey Church, and they currently have over 650 alumni. Mrs. Wright is the principal of the Upper School, and Christie Gould is the principal of the Elementary School. The Administrator is Dr. Jeff Bogaczyk. The Upper School has a student/teacher ratio of 11 to 1, with an average class size of 15. The school's mission statement makes clear the school's underlying outlook and aims: Preparing students spiritually, socially and academically to impact their world for God.
