Redland Bay State School Residence

Redlands is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. It primarily covers coastal suburbs on the southside of the city of Brisbane, from Thornlands south to the Logan River.

Redland Bay is a coastal semi-rural locality in the City of Redland, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Redland Bay had a population of 14,958 people.Since the first European settlers arrived in the mid-19th century, Redland Bay has remained a farming and fishing-based area until the mid-20th century when some of the farms were subdivided and improved transport infrastructure made it possible for residents to commute the 35 kilometers into Brisbane.

Victoria Point is a coastal locality in Redland City, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Victoria Point had a population of 15,020 people.

Faith Lutheran College, Redlands (often abbreviated as FLCR), Queensland, Australia, is an independent co-educational Lutheran primary and secondary school located on two campuses in Victoria Point (Junior School) and Thornlands (Middle and Senior School). The school currently educates students from years Prep to Year 12.

The Victoria Point Bus Station, at Victoria Point Queensland, is serviced by TransLink bus routes. It is part of the Victoria Point Shopping Centre and is a major interchange for TransLink's Eastern Region. It is in Zone 3 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. . This is an "improvement" that nobody asked for and is proving to be a major nuisance for riders, as it is near the road, drops you on the wrong side, near nothing. This was obviously the idea of a non rider with too much time on their hands.

Redland City, better known as the Redlands and formerly known as Redland Shire, is a local government area and a part of the Brisbane metropolitan area in South East Queensland. With a population of 156,863 in June 2018, the city is spread along the southern coast of Moreton Bay, covering 537.2 square kilometres (207.4 sq mi). Its mainland borders the City of Brisbane to the west and north-west, and Logan City to the south-west and south, while its islands are situated north of the City of Gold Coast. Redland attained city status on 15 March 2008, having been a shire since 1949, when it was created by the merger of the former Tingalpa and Cleveland Shires. Despite this status, the City consists of largely suburban and coastal communities, featuring a somewhat disjointed urbanisation around major suburbs interspersed with bushland; there is no clear city centre. Large mainland suburbs include Capalaba, Cleveland, Victoria Point, and Redland Bay. The latter is the city's namesake, due to the colour of its fertile soil. North Stradbroke Island and smaller nearby islands, most notably those of Southern Moreton Bay, comprise the eastern portion of the Redlands. The city's boundaries correspond to those of the federal division of Bowman.

Eprapah, the Charles S. Snow Scout Environment Training Centre, at Victoria Point, near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, is a noted ecological area within Redland City. Owned and managed by the Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch, the 39 hectares (96 acres) is home to a variety of habitats along Eprapah Creek to its north. Its value is recognised as a declared environmental reserve by the local city council, and designated as a Scout Centre of Excellence for Nature and Environment (SCENES) site. It is possibly the only Scout campsite in the world devoted principally to environmental education. Located at the intersection of Colburn Avenue, and Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, Victoria Point, the property was named for the creek travelling through its bounds. The name Eprapah is believed to be a corrupted form of the Biblical word Ephratah or 'fruitful land'.: 1 

The Shire of Tingalpa was a local government area in the south-eastern suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The shire, administered from Mount Cotton, covered an area of 120 square miles (311 km2), and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 1949.

Serpentine Creek Road Cemetery is a heritage-listed cemetery at 398-408 Serpentine Creek Road, Redland Bay, Redland City, Queensland, Australia. It was established in 1890 and operated until 1945. It is also known as Redland Bay Cemetery and South Redland Bay Cemetery. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 6 January 1999.

Eprapah Creek (longitude 153.30º East, latitude -27.567º South) is a sub-tropical stream located in Redland City close to Brisbane in South East Queensland, Australia. It rises on the north-eastern slopes of Mount Cotton and flows directly to the Moreton Bay at Victoria Point. It is 12.6 kilometres (7.8 mi) long with about 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) of estuarine zone. In the latter, the water depth is typically about one to two m mid-stream, the width is about 20 to 30 m and the tides are semi-diurnal with a range of about two m. The catchment (~ 39 km2 area) is mostly urban in the lower reaches and semi rural/rural residential in the upper reaches. The creek includes several conservation areas such as Eprapah hosting endangered species, e.g. koalas, swamp wallabies, sea eagles.

Carmel College is a co-educational Catholic secondary college situated in Thornlands, Redland City in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1993 under Brisbane Catholic Education, the college is the only Catholic secondary college in the Redland City area.As of 2020, 99 teachers and 32 non-teaching staff were working at the college with over 1230 students enrolled over years 7 to 12. Across these enrolments, 45% were male and 55% were female, with 3% of the total student population being of Indigenous background. In 2019, the college received an average of 91% attendance across the school year, with over 67% of students receiving an attendance rate of over 90%. In addition to this, 172 Year 12 students received a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) in 2019.As of 2022, Carmel College's administrative team consists of College Principal Stephen Adair, Deputy Principal Bree Brockenshire, Assistant Principal - Religious Education Krystyna Baldwin, Assistant Principal - Students Sian Burke, Assistant Principal - Junior Curriculum Leree Mazzer and Assistant Principal - Senior Curriculum James Taylor.

Coochiemudlo Island is a small island in the southern part of Moreton Bay, near Brisbane, in South East Queensland, Australia. It is also the name of the locality upon the island, which is within the local government area of Redland City.In the 2016 census, Coochiemudlo Island had a population of 753 people.
