Thornlands is a coastal residential locality in the City of Redland, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Thornlands had a population of 14,694 people. The area is now primarily suburban residences, with the southern parts rural residences, comprising larger landblocks. The population is growing rapidly due to new housing developments.

The Victoria Point Bus Station, at Victoria Point Queensland, is serviced by TransLink bus routes. It is part of the Victoria Point Shopping Centre and is a major interchange for TransLink's Eastern Region. It is in Zone 3 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. . This is an "improvement" that nobody asked for and is proving to be a major nuisance for riders, as it is near the road, drops you on the wrong side, near nothing. This was obviously the idea of a non rider with too much time on their hands.

Eprapah, the Charles S. Snow Scout Environment Training Centre, at Victoria Point, near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, is a noted ecological area within Redland City. Owned and managed by the Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch, the 39 hectares (96 acres) is home to a variety of habitats along Eprapah Creek to its north. Its value is recognised as a declared environmental reserve by the local city council, and designated as a Scout Centre of Excellence for Nature and Environment (SCENES) site. It is possibly the only Scout campsite in the world devoted principally to environmental education. Located at the intersection of Colburn Avenue, and Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, Victoria Point, the property was named for the creek travelling through its bounds. The name Eprapah is believed to be a corrupted form of the Biblical word Ephratah or 'fruitful land'.: 1 

Redland City, better known as the Redlands and formerly known as Redland Shire, is a local government area and a part of the Brisbane metropolitan area in South East Queensland. With a population of 156,863 in June 2018, the city is spread along the southern coast of Moreton Bay, covering 537.2 square kilometres (207.4 sq mi). Its mainland borders the City of Brisbane to the west and north-west, and Logan City to the south-west and south, while its islands are situated north of the City of Gold Coast. Redland attained city status on 15 March 2008, having been a shire since 1949, when it was created by the merger of the former Tingalpa and Cleveland Shires. Despite this status, the City consists of largely suburban and coastal communities, featuring a somewhat disjointed urbanisation around major suburbs interspersed with bushland; there is no clear city centre. Redland Hospital is a public hospital, located in Redland City, Queensland, Australia. Its address is Weippin Street, Cleveland. The hospital provides emergency, general medical, surgical and obstetric services. Administratively, the hospital is part of the Metro South Health Service District. Redland Hospital opened on 30 June 1987. As of October 2018, the Hospital employs approximately 900 staff operating 172 beds. In late 2014, it was announced the hospital would receive $3 million in funding for various upgrades and maintenance.The 60-bed Mater Private Hospital Redland, the Redland Health Service Centre and Redland Residential Care are also on site.

The Arthur & Allan Morris Field (also known by its sponsored name Compass Grounds) is the home ground for the Redlands City Devils (QLDSL) and Redlands United. The ground is situated at the Cleveland showgrounds in the Redland shire. It has been voted one of the best fields in Queensland, Australia.

The Redland Museum is the local history museum of South East Queensland's Redlands region, situated in the suburb of Cleveland. It collects and preserves Redlands' social history to the present day.With close to 20,000 items on display and in storage, the Museum regards itself as a unique, dynamic, inclusive museum in Queensland. Along with a 2,700m2 building in Cleveland, Redland Museum operates a historical reference library, the adjacent functional blacksmith's shop, and a small outpost on nearby Russell Island.

Eprapah Creek (longitude 153.30º East, latitude -27.567º South) is a sub-tropical stream located in Redland City close to Brisbane in South East Queensland, Australia. It rises on the north-eastern slopes of Mount Cotton and flows directly to the Moreton Bay at Victoria Point. It is 12.6 kilometres (7.8 mi) long with about 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) of estuarine zone. In the latter, the water depth is typically about one to two m mid-stream, the width is about 20 to 30 m and the tides are semi-diurnal with a range of about two m. The catchment (~ 39 km2 area) is mostly urban in the lower reaches and semi rural/rural residential in the upper reaches. The creek includes several conservation areas such as Eprapah hosting endangered species, e.g. koalas, swamp wallabies, sea eagles.
