Dr. Franklin King House-Idlewild is a historic home located at Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. It was built in 1875, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, style frame dwelling with a 3+1⁄2-story tower. It combines elements of the Italianate, Queen Anne and Gothic Revival styles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

It was developed from about 1895 to about 1935, and includes notable examples of Queen Anne, American Foursquare, and I-house style architecture. Notable buildings include the Wade-Collins House (c. 1897), Willis-Huggins House, Austin House, Ray-McCallum House, McCollum-Truslow House, Clark House (1919), Knight House (1919), and Claude Jones House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

First Baptist Church, previously known as Leaksville Baptist Church, is a historic Baptist church located at 538 Greenwood Street in Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. It was built in 1886, and is a Gothic Revival style brick church. It has a hipped roof with intersecting gables and Stick Style decoration in the gable ends. It features lancet windows and a wooden Gothic belfry with pointed steeple centered on the roof. Two Colonial Revival style additions were made to the church in 1934 and 1937.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Leaksville Commercial Historic District is a national historic district located at Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. It encompasses 12 contributing buildings in the central business district of the town of Eden. It includes buildings dated between about 1885 and 1939, and notable examples of Greek Revival, Classical Revival, and Colonial Revival style architecture. Notable buildings include a house built about 1840, the Realty Building (1924-1925), Leaksville Mercantile Building (c. 1890), Carter-Moir Hardware/Smith-Lane Store (c. 1880), the Fagg-King Building (c. 1910), Mitchell's Drug Store (1936), DeHart Building (1938), and United States Post Office (1939) designed by architect Louis A. Simon and built as a Works Progress Administration project.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Bullard-Ray House is a historic home located at Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. The original section was built about 1830, and consists of a two-story, Greek Revival style main block with a recessed two-story wing. It was enlarged and remodeled between 1908 and 1915 in the Colonial Revival style. It has a hipped roof and features a broad, wrap-around porch supported by Doric order columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Dempsey-Reynolds-Taylor House is a historic home located at Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. The original section dates to the early-19th century, and consists of a two-story, Federal style frame block with an attached 1+1⁄2-story brick section. It was enlarged by an Italianate / Queen Anne style main block added in the late-19th century. Later additions to the house occurred in the 1920s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

M. Hopper House (1885), Norman-DeHart House (c. 1925), and Casteen House (c. 1920).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at 512 Henry Street in Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. It was built in 1921, and is a two-story, Late Gothic Revival style brick church. It sits on a raised basement and it has tall gable front flanked by square two-stage crenellated bell towers incorporated at each corner. It features pointed arch tower windows and brightly colored stained glass. It is the oldest African-American Baptist Church in Eden.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Smith River is a river in the U.S. states of Virginia and North Carolina. It is a tributary of the Dan River, which it joins at Eden, North Carolina. According to the United States Geological Survey and regional histories, variant names are Irvin River, Irvine River, Irwin River, and Smith's River.The Smith River is a tailrace stream, fed by water from Philpott Lake. Water flow is regulated at Philpott Dam according to the demands of hydroelectric power generation, downstream water temperature control, and adequate water levels for recreational use. From its source at Philpott Dam, the river runs 44.5 mi through Franklin County and Henry County before reaching the North Carolina border. After crossing the border, the Smith River runs an additional 5.25 miles through Rockingham County, North Carolina before its confluence with the Dan River.

Spray Industrial Historic District is a national historic district located at Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. It encompasses 70 contributing buildings, 9 contributing structures, and 1 contributing object in an industrial section of the town of Eden. It includes buildings associated with eight textile mill complexes, mill village housing, and seven commercial buildings. Notable contributing resources include the Smith River Dam and Spray Power canal, Morehead Cotton Mill complex, "Superintendent's" House (c. 1810), Imperial Bank and Trust Company (1912), Leaksville Cotton Mills complex, Spray Mercantile Building, Spray Cotton Mills complex, Lily Mill complex, Nantucket Mills complex designed by R. C. Biberstein, American Warehouse Company complex, Rhode Island Mill complex, Phillips-Chatham House (c. 1910), and Spray Woolen Mill complex.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The main Spray Cotton Mill building was destroyed by fire in January 2023.

Eden is a city in Rockingham County in the U.S. state of North Carolina and is part of the Greensboro-High Point Metropolitan Statistical Area of the Piedmont Triad metro region. As of the 2020 census, the population was 15,405. From the late nineteenth century through much of the 20th, the city was a center of textile mills and manufacturing. The city was incorporated in 1967 through the consolidation of three towns: Leaksville, Spray, and Draper.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church, also known as The Rock Church, is a historic Episcopal church located at 604 Morgan Road in Eden, Rockingham County, North Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a one-story Mission Gothic style solid masonry church. It has a gabled roof that is intersected by gabled transepts and a pointed arch tracery stained glass window. A stained-glass window at St. Luke's was given by Lily Morehead Mebane in memory of her mother, Mary Lily Connally Morehead. It features a three-stage crenellated corner tower.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
