Northwest Arkansas (NWA) is a metropolitan area and region in Arkansas within the Ozark Mountains. It includes four of the ten largest cities in the state: Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville, the surrounding towns of Benton and Washington counties, and adjacent rural Madison County, Arkansas. The United States Census Bureau-defined Fayetteville–Springdale–Rogers Metropolitan Statistical Area includes 3,213.01 square miles (8,321.7 km2) and 576,403 residents (as of 2022), ranking NWA as the 100th most-populous metropolitan statistical area in the U.S. and the 13th fastest growing in the United States. Northwest Arkansas doubled in population between 1990 and 2010. Growth has been driven by the three Fortune 500 companies based in NWA: Walmart, Tyson Foods, and J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. as well as over 1,700 suppliers and vendors drawn to the region by these large businesses and NWA's business climate. There are also several large private employers like Simmons Foods in Siloam Springs. The region has also seen significant investment in amenities, including the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Walmart AMP, and the NWA Razorback Regional Greenway.

The E. Fay and Gus Jones House is a historic house at 1330 North Hillcrest in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is a two-story structure, fieldstone on the first level and sheathed in redwood board-and-batten siding on the second, with a broad gabled roof. The house was designed by the architect E. Fay Jones as his family residence, and was completed in 1956. It was the first Jones design to be built, and demonstrated the principles of organic architecture that Jones would espouse through his career. Jones' mentor Frank Lloyd Wright spoke approvingly of the house after visiting it in 1958.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.The house has been recently restored and is now open for limited public tours. The restoration project is a collaboration between the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design and the Tesseract Center for Immersive Environments and Game Design at the University of Arkansas.

Fayetteville Township is one of thirty-seven townships in Washington County, Arkansas, USA. The township had a population of 73,580 at the 2010 Census. The township contains the City of Fayetteville in its entirety, as the township and the city have identical boundaries.

The Wilson Park Historic District (sometimes Rock House Historic District) is a historic district in Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA, located just northeast of the University of Arkansas. The district consists of several residential buildings that developed during the late 19th and early 20th Century near Wilson Park just north of Dickson Street, the city's primary entertainment district. Wilson Park Historic District includes 47 contributing buildings.

Washington–Willow Historic District is a residential neighborhood of Fayetteville, Arkansas containing over one hundred historically and architecturally significant homes. Styles range from those popular in the mid-19th century through present day, predominantly Victorian, Italianate, neoclassical, and craftsman bungalows. Historically, Fayetteville leaders in business, law and education have all called the district home. The homes sit at the foot of East Mountain within the Masonic Addition, the first addition platted following incorporation. Encompassing roughly 37 acres (0.15 km2), the district is bounded by College Avenue (U.S. Route 71B) on the west, Mission Boulevard on the east, Rebecca Street to the north, and Spring Street to the south. The primary streets within the district are the namesake Washington Avenue and Willow Avenue, crossing Davidson Street, Maple Street, Lafayette Street, and Dickson Street. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and its boundaries were increased in 1995.

Barbara was an unincorporated community in Fayetteville Township, Washington County, Arkansas, United States. It was annexed by Fayetteville in 1967. It is located on the Frisco Railway and Gregg Avenue in Fayetteville.

Mount Nord Historic District (also Mt. Nord Historic District, formerly Mont Nord Addition) is a historic district in Fayetteville, Arkansas encompassing one city block with five properties. The district lies atop a rise of about 140 feet (43 m) above the surrounding area. The properties were built between 1901 and 1925 in various architectural styles, and the area was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Maple Street Overpass is a historic bridge in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The bridge carries West Maple Street over the railroad tracks running just east of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville campus. It is a reinforced concrete single-span arch, 60 feet (18 m) in length and 25 feet (7.6 m) in width. The bridge has a decorative Art Deco balustrade with inset lights on both sides. The bridge was designed by regional bridge designer Frederick Lutt Johann, and built in 1936.The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Magnolia Company Filling Station is a historic automotive service station building at 492 West Lafayette Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is a small single-story white hip-roofed brick building, with a portico, supported by brick piers, extending over the area where the fuel pumps were originally located. The building has a center entrance, with a single sash window to the left, and a large window (formerly a doorway) to the right. Built in 1925, it is one of the region's oldest surviving gas stations, and, according to its National Register nomination in 1978 was the only one then known to have been built by the Magnolia Company and to still be surviving.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.At least two other filling stations built by or for the company were surviving, however. A similarly named filling station in Kingsland, Arkansas, in south-central Arkansas, was listed on the National Register in 2019 as the Magnolia Petroleum Company Filling Station. It was built to a Magnolia Petroleum Company design which included elements of Craftsman and Tudor Revival architecture, and which was used as the design for at least one other filling station, in North Little Rock, which was destroyed after a fire in 2018.

The Lafayette Street Overpass is a historic bridge in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is a three-span reinforced concrete girder structure, carrying Lafayette Street over the tracks of the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway. The bridge is about 120 feet (37 m) long and 30 feet (9.1 m) wide, and consists of reinforced concrete spans resting on concrete abutments. It features an Art Deco railing, with a metal balustrade covering concrete piers with inset light fixtures. The bridge was built in 1938 by Edward B. Mooney, Inc.The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Wade-Heerwagen House is a historic house at 338 North Washington Avenue. in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, built in the 1870s in imitation of pre-Civil War houses more typical of late-18th century Virginia. The house is T-shaped, with a front section three bays wide that has a two-story porch extending across its width, and a rear ell added after the house's initial construction. Its interior includes the first bathtub installed in Fayetteville.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
