The Pangaltı Armenian Cemetery was located in the Pangaltı quarter of Istanbul near Taksim Square and originally belonged to the Surp Agop Armenian Hospital. In the 1930s it was demolished and was replaced with the Taksim Gezi Park, Divan Hotel, Hilton Hotel, Hyatt Regency Hotel, and the TRT Radio Buildings.It is considered to have been the largest non-Muslim cemetery in Istanbul's history.

Surp Agop Hospital (Turkish: Surp Agop Hastanesi) or Saint Jacob Armenian Hospital is a hospital in the Elmadağ neighborhood of Şişli district of Istanbul which was established in 1837 and continues to be operated by the Armenian Catholic community of Turkey. The hospital also owned all rights of the Pangaltı Armenian Cemetery which was destroyed in the 1930s.The hospital was widely noted before and after World War I for its work. Using the names of the districts of the time it was known as "The hospital Sourp-Agop of Pancaldi above Pera." Armenian fundraising for the hospital continued after World War II. Today it is a private hospital which caters also to the Turkish Social Security Agency (Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu - SGK) continuing to serve the public in Istanbul.

Taşkışla (pronounced [taʃˈkɯʃla]) is neighborhood and building complex in Istanbul. It takes its name Stone Barracks from its use as a military establishment in the Ottoman period also known as Mecidiye Kışlası. It is located in close proximity to Beyoğlu and home to the Architecture faculty of the Istanbul Technical University and today serves as a terminus for the Maçka Gondola cable car line.

The Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus (Turkish: Hilton İstanbul Bosphorus) is a five star hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the longest operating Hilton Hotel outside the United States. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and opened in 1955 as the Istanbul Hilton, it was the first modern hotel in Europe built from the ground up following World War II. In 1955, the opening of this Hilton had led to a turning point when it came to Istanbul's tourist establishments.

Taksim Gezi Park is an urban park next to Taksim Square, in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district (historically known as Pera.) It is one of the last green spaces in Beyoğlu and one of the smallest parks of Istanbul. In May 2013, plans to replace the park with a reconstruction of the former Taksim Military Barracks (demolished in 1940) intended to house a shopping mall sparked the nationwide 2013 protests in Turkey.

Lycée Notre Dame de Sion Istanbul (Turkish: Notre Dame de Sion Özel Fransız Lisesi) is a French private high school located in the Harbiye, Şişli neighbourhood of Istanbul, Turkey. It was founded in 1856. The high school was established in the Ottoman Empire as a missionary school for girls only. It was later transformed into a co-educational status. The Medium of instruction from preparatory class through twelfth grade is in the French and Turkish language, and takes four years after a preparatory class of one school year.

The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, alternatively known as the St. Esprit Cathedral (Turkish: Saint Esprit Kilisesi), located on Cumhuriyet Avenue, 127/A, in the quarter of Pangaltı in Şişli district, the former Harbiye, between Taksim Square and Nişantaşı, is one of the principal Catholic churches in Istanbul, Turkey.It is the second largest Roman Catholic church in the city after the Basilica of S. Antonio di Padova on İstiklal Avenue in Beyoğlu.The church was built in Baroque style in 1846 under the direction of the Swiss-Italian architect Giuseppe Fossati and his colleague Julien Hillereau. St. Esprit has been a destination of several papal visits to Turkey, including those of Pope Paul VI, Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. A statue of Pope Benedict XV stands in the courtyard of the cathedral. Giuseppe Donizetti, a musician at the court of Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II, is buried in the vaults of the church.

Istanbul Congress Center (ICC; Turkish: İstanbul Kongre Merkezi) is a convention center located at Harbiye neighborhood of Şişli district in Istanbul, Turkey. Opened on October 17, 2009, it is owned by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Situated adjacent to Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage, it is a multi-level complex, which was built to host the 2009 IMF and World Bank Group Annual Meeting. The building has a foyer at ground level, several meeting halls in different sizes in five underground levels and car park in the lowest two levels.

The Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre (Turkish: Cemil Topuzlu Açıkhava Tiyatrosu, also called simply Açıkhava Tiyatrosu) is a contemporary amphitheatre located at Harbiye neighborhood of Şişli district in Istanbul, Turkey. It is situated across from the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center, and behind the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus on the European side of the city. As the city's most popular summertime outdoor venue, the theatre primarily hosts music concerts in various genres of local and international performers. It also hosts cultural activities for several festivals held in Istanbul in the summer.

Taksim is an underground rapid transit complex. It is located in central Beyoğlu under Taksim Square in Istanbul. The complex is serviced by the M2 line of the Istanbul Metro and the Kabataş-Taksim Funicular (F1) line. Taksim was opened on 16 September 2000 as the southern terminus of the M2 until the line was extended to Yenikapı in 2014. On 29 June 2006 the Kabataş-Taksim funicular station was opened, offering shuttle service to Kabataş. Taksim is the busiest station on the M2 Line as well as the Istanbul Metro. Connections to Havabüs express bus service to Sabiha Gökçen Airport are available.

The Atatürk Cultural Center (Turkish: Atatürk Kültür Merkezi), commonly called the AKM, is a concert hall, theatre and cultural centre running along the eastern side of Taksim Square in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. In 2021, it reopened to the public as a state-of-the-art cultural complex after a 13-year reconstruction period.
