Windsor railway station is located on the Sandringham line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Windsor, and opened on 19 December 1859 as Chapel Street. It was renamed Windsor on 1 January 1867.The station is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.

The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) is the only government-accredited tertiary educational institution that provides professional training in contemporary circus arts in Australia. It is a subsidiary of Swinburne University of Technology and is based at the university's Prahran campus. NICA is a registered cultural organisation and a member of the Australian Roundtable for Arts Training Excellence. Many of its graduates have gone on to work in international and national circus companies, including Circus Oz and Cirque du Soleil.

Presentation College, Windsor was an independent Roman Catholic, secondary, day school for girls, located in Windsor, an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school was founded in 1873. The brother school of Presentation College, Windsor (PCW) is the Christian Brothers College, St Kilda (CBC), located adjacent to PCW.

The Astor Theatre is a classic, single-screen revival movie theatre located in the inner Melbourne suburb of St Kilda, that has a long and illustrious history. The site at 1-3 Chapel Street was first used for public entertainment in 1913 when Thomas Alford established the Diamond Theatre, which shared the site with a confectioner and livery stables. Part vaudeville theatre and part cinema, in 1914 it was renamed the Rex before closing in 1917. By 1924 the site had been occupied by a motor garage.

Red Stitch Actors Theatre is an ensemble theatre company based in Melbourne, Australia. Established in 2001 and with its first season in 2002, Red Stitch has presented over 100 contemporary plays. These include works from international playwrights such as Edward Albee, Annie Baker, Jez Butterworth, Martin Crimp, Amy Herzog, Sarah Kane, Neil LaBute and Simon Stephens, and more recently Australian playwrights such as Melissa Bubnic, Tom Holloway and Joanna Murray-Smith. Red Stitch's 80-seat theatre is a converted church hall on Chapel Street, St Kilda East opposite the Astor Theatre. The company was based in an industrial building on Inkerman Street, St Kilda, until 2003. Red Stitch occasionally plays seasons at Arts Centre Melbourne's Fairfax Studio and tours to other cities across Australia. Its 2023 production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf transferred to Melbourne's Comedy Theatre in June 2024, and to Sydney's Roslyn Packer Theatre in November 2025. In 2019, Red Stitch revamped the Cromwell Road Theatre in South Yarra as a flexible space seating up to 120, to be a second venue for the company. Red Stitch has won numerous Melbourne Green Room Awards, including Best Production - Theatre Companies for Harvest by Richard Bean in 2007 and Iphigenia in Splott by Gary Owen in 2022. Its production of Red Sky Morning by Tom Holloway was nominated for the national Helpmann Award for Best Regional Touring Production in 2011.

The Prahran College of Advanced Education, formerly Prahran College of Technology, was a late-secondary and tertiary institution with a business school, a trade school, and a multi-disciplinary art school that dated back to the 1860s, populated by instructors and students who were among Australia’s significant artists, designers and performers. After undergoing various mergers, splits and incarnations over the years, the Prahran entity ceased to exist from 1 January 1992, when an Act of Parliament brought Prahran College of TAFE under the auspices of Swinburne University of Technology, with the only tertiary courses, Graphics and Industrial Design, remaining on the campus. All others were moved to Deakin University, except Prahran Fine Art, which was relocated and amalgamated with the Victorian College of the Arts.

All Saints' Church, East St Kilda, is a historic Anglican church within the Anglo-Catholic tradition, located at 2 Chapel Street, St Kilda, Victoria, Australia. Although it advertises itself to be in St Kilda East, it is located just within the borders of the suburb of St Kilda. The church was initiated by Reverend Fr. John Herbert Gregory in 1857, who would serve as its first vicar, and its foundation stone was laid in November 1858. Designed by architect Nathaniel Billing in the Gothic style, the church was officially opened on December 8, 1861.The church is known as a fashionable venue for weddings, and the Australian Dictionary of Biography lists numerous notable marriages.

The Prahran Fire Station, also known as the Former Prahran Fire Station, is a historic fire station in Prahran, Victoria. It is a two-storey brick building and has an attached brick watchtower. It was built in 1889 and was considered advanced for its time, although its location on narrow Macquarie Street was difficult for fire apparatus to get out from, onto Chapel Street.

Prahran Town Hall is a civic building located on the corner of Chapel Street and Greville Street in Prahran, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. After the amalgamation of the City of Prahran with the City of Malvern in 1994 to form the City of Stonnington, the Town Hall now functions as secondary offices for the new City. The original Town Hall was built in 1861 to the design of local architects Crouch and Wilson in the Italianate style of Victorian architecture popular in Melbourne at the time, including Italian Renaissance inspired interior spaces. The building was extended in 1888 to include a City Hall in a similar style. The clock tower was designed by Charles D'Ebro and built in 1890 above the municipal offices and council chambers for the former City of Prahran. In the 1960s, the decorative tower was truncated.

St Michael's Grammar School is a leading Australian independent Anglican co-educational primary and secondary day school located in the Melbourne suburb of St Kilda, Victoria. The school is respected for its exceptional education and wellbeing programs, and its innovative approaches to teaching, learning and caring. St Michael's was founded in 1895 by the Community of the Sisters of the Church and remains in its original location on a single campus. The School is associated with the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne and is a member of the Association of Coeducational Schools (ACS) and the Junior School Heads Association of Australia. The school educates students from 3-year-old kindergarten to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), which all Year 12 students at St Michael's complete.

St Kilda Artillery Orderly Room and Drill Hall is a heritage-listed military installation at 10 Chapel Street, St Kilda East, Victoria, Australia. It was added to the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List on 22 June 2004.

Prahran (IPA: ), also pronounced colloquially as Pran, is an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 5 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. At the 2016 Census Prahran had a population of 12,982. Prahran is a part of Greater Melbourne, with many shops, restaurants and cafes. Chapel Street is a mix of upscale fashion boutiques and cafes. Greville Street, once the centre of the Melbourne's hippie community, has many cafés, bars, restaurants, bookstores, clothing shops and music shops. Prahran takes its name from Pur-ra-ran, a Boonwurrung word which was thought to mean "land partially surrounded by water". When naming began the suburbs spelling was intended to be Praharan and pronounced Pur-ra-ran, but a spelling mistake on a government form lead to the name Prahran. More recently the word Pur-ra-ran has been identified as a transcription of "Birrarung", the name for the Yarra River, or a specific point of it.
