Bichlbach is a municipality in the district of Reutte in the Austrian state of Tyrol.

Lake Heiterwang is a lake in the Tirol, Austria, located at 47°27′30″N 10°46′50″E. Its surface is approximately 1.37 km² and its maximum depth is 61 metres. It is well-known Heiterwanger See is good for fishing. Kaiser Maximilian I of Austria often fished here.

Plansee is a lake in Reutte District, Tyrol, Austria, located at 47°28′10″N 10°48′20″E. Its surface is approximately 2.87 km² and its maximum depth is 78 metres. It lies on Austrian Federal Highway B 179, which crosses the Ammersattel into Germany.

The Plattberg (also Blattberg) is a mountain in the southern chain of the Ammergau Alps. Its highest point is also called the Hochschrutte and reaches a height of 2,247 m (AA) The Plattberg lies north of Lähn and can be climbed from Lähn (railway station on the Außerfern Railway) or, on a more strenuous and trackless route from the lake of Plansee via the Wiesjoch col. The ascent of the mountain can be done as part of a ridge walk from or to the Daniel. The nearby peak of Großes fuitjöchl (2,196 m) is also a popular climb in winter for skiers or snowshoers.

Berwang is a municipality with 564 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2019) in the district of Reutte in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The districts are Brand, Bichlbächle, Gröben, Kleinstockach, Mitteregg, Rinnen, Tal. The municipality is located in the district court Reutte. It is a popular ski resort in winter, and a hiking and mountain biking destination in summer.

The Füssen-Plansee work camp was a work camp that was attached to the Dachau concentration camp during World War II. It was situated in the Forelle Hotel, on the banks of the Plansee, an Austrian lake near the border of Bavaria. The occupants were principally government leaders (military, politicians, bureaucrats), imprisoned in early 1943 and released in 1945.At least two beds were placed in each room and the facility was partially heated. The personnalités-otages - hostage persons had a library that was provided by the Red Cross.

The Ammergau Alps (German: Ammergauer Alpen or Ammergebirge) are a mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps in the states of Bavaria (Germany) and Tyrol (Austria). They cover an area of about 30 x 30 km and begin at the outer edge of the Alps. The highest summit is the Daniel which has a height of 2,340 metres (7,680 ft).

Thaneller (2,341 m) is a mountain of the Lechtal Alps, a sub-range of the Northern Limestone Alps in Tyrol, Austria. It is a prominent, free standing pyramidal peak located near Ehrwald, on the northwestern edge of the Lechtals. Due to its prominence and the gentle nature of its southern slopes, it is a very popular mountain for hikers, with a good panorama from its summit, which reaches from the lowlands in the North to the Main chain of the Alps in the South. Wildspitze is the highest mountain that can be seen on a clear day.

The Daniel (2,340 m) is a mountain in the Austrian state of Tyrol, and the highest peak in the Ammergau Alps, a range within the Northern Limestone Alps . Located near the villages of Ehrwald and Lermoos, it is a popular mountain with hikers. Its North Face is around 200 metres high and its South Face has a more schrofen-like character. With the almost equally high Upsspitze (2,332 m) it forms a double summit. To the northwest is a neighbouring peak, the Hochschrutte (2,247 m).
