Yarkon Park

Yarkon Park (Hebrew: פארק הירקון, Park HaYarkon) is a large park in Tel Aviv, Israel, with about sixteen million visits annually. Named after the Yarkon River which flows through it, the park includes extensive lawns, sports facilities, botanical gardens, an aviary, a water park, two outdoor concert venues and lakes. The park covers an area of 3.5 km². At 375 hectares, it is slightly larger than Central Park in New York, and double the size of Hyde Park, London.

Jarisha (Arabic: جرِيشة, also transliterated Jerisha; Hebrew: ג'רישה) was a Palestinian Arab village located 200 meters (660 ft) from the ancient site of Tell Jarisha (Tel Gerisa), on the south bank of Al-Awja (Yarkon River). After the establishment of Tel Aviv, it was one of five Arab villages to fall within its municipal boundaries. Jarisha was ethnically cleansed in the lead up to the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.

Expo Tel Aviv (formerly the Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center (Hebrew: מרכז הירידים והקונגרסים בישראל) and later the Tel Aviv Convention Center (Hebrew: מרכז הירידים - תל אביב), commonly referred to as Ganei HaTaarucha (Hebrew: גני התערוכה, lit. "Exhibition Gardens") or the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds, is a fairground complex on Rokach Boulevard in northern Tel Aviv, Israel used as a venue for concerts, exhibitions, trade fairs and conferences. Established in 1932 as Yerid HaMizrach at the site of the Levant Fair, near the Tel Aviv Port, the fairgrounds moved to their present location at 101 Rokach Boulevard (near the Yarkon Park and Tel Aviv University) in 1959. The site is directly accessible from the Ayalon Highway, Tel Aviv’s main transportation artery, as well as from the Tel Aviv University railway station. Expo Tel Aviv hosts up to 2.5 million visitors and between 45 and 60 major events annually. The fairground has ten halls and pavilions and a large outdoor space including an amusement park known as the Luna Park. Nearby is the Drive in Arena which was built on the grounds of what was once Israel's only drive-in theater. Between 14 and 18 May, the fairground hosted the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. The venue has been renamed Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Center).

Tel Aviv University railway station is an Israel Railways station in northern Tel Aviv, Israel. It is officially named Tel Aviv Universita – Merkaz HaYeridim in Hebrew (English: Tel Aviv University – Exhibition Center), due to its proximity to Tel Aviv University and Expo Tel Aviv (the Tel Aviv fairgrounds and convention center, commonly known as Ganei HaTaarucha). The station has four platforms connected by pedestrian tunnels. It is the northernmost passenger rail station in Tel Aviv; non-stop trains from the station can reach southern Haifa's Hof HaCarmel railway station in about 40 minutes. Outside the station, there is a bus terminal serving the areas adjacent to the university. In 2019, over six million passengers used the station, making it the fourth-busiest in the country.

Luna Park, Tel Aviv is an amusement park complex in the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds.

Ohel Shem (Hebrew: אהל-שם) is an Israeli secular high school located in the city of Ramat Gan. It has about 1,550 students studying in 45 classes, from ninth to twelfth grade, and about 160 teachers and 40 staff. The campus contains, in addition to the classrooms, a library, a community center (Eshkol Paiss) comprising an auditorium and chemistry, physics, biology, biotechnology and robotics laboratories, a gym, cafeterias, sports fields, lawns and trees.

The Council for a Beautiful Israel (CBI) (Hebrew: המועצה לישראל יפה, romanized: ha-mo'atza le-Yisra'el ha-yafa) is a public non-profit organization focused on improving the quality of life in Israel. CBI was Israel's first environmental association.

Tel Gerisa (Hebrew) or Tell Jerishe and Tell Jarisha (Arabic), commonly known as Tel Napoleon or Napoleon's Hill (as his army camped on it during the siege of Jaffa), is an archaeological site on the southern bank of the Yarkon River in Israel. The main phases of the city are dated to the Middle and Late Bronze Ages, with a smaller settlement in Iron Age I and going into decline in Iron Age II (10th century BCE).

The Olympic Committee of Israel (Hebrew: הוועד האולימפי בישראל) is the recognized National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Israel, and the governing body of Olympic sports in Israel. The OCI's headquarters is located at the National Sport Center – Tel Aviv.

The Drive in Arena (Hebrew: היכל הדרייב אין), officially named Shlomo Group Arena (Hebrew: היכל קבוצת שלמה) due to commercial sponsorship, is a multi-purpose hall in the northern part of Tel Aviv. Built on the grounds of what was once Israel's only Drive-in theater and opened in November 2014, it is used primarily as the home arena for the basketball team Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Al-Shaykh Muwannis (Arabic: الشيخ مونّس), also Sheikh Munis, was a small Palestinian Arab village in the Jaffa Subdistrict of Mandatory Palestine, located approximately 8.5 kilometers from the center of Jaffa city in territory earmarked for Jewish statehood under the UN Partition Plan. The village was abandoned in March 1948 due to the threats of Jewish militias, two months before the 1948 Arab–Israeli war. Today, Tel Aviv University lies on part of the village land.

The Yitzhak Rabin Center is a library and research center in Tel Aviv, Israel, built in memory of assassinated Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin. The Yitzhak Rabin Center, designed by the Israeli architect, Moshe Safdie, sits on a hill commanding a panoramic view of Hayarkon Park and Tel Aviv, near the Eretz Israel Museum, the Palmach Museum, Tel Aviv University and Beth Hatefutsoth. The inauguration ceremony took place in November 2005, on the tenth anniversary of Rabin's assassination.
