Central station (CTA Purple Line)

Canal Shores Golf Course, (formerly known as the Peter N. Jans Memorial Golf Course and the Evanston Wilmette Community Golf Course) is an 82-acre, 18-hole, par 60 golf course located in a suburban residential neighborhood on the east side of Evanston, Illinois and Wilmette, Illinois. Founded in 1919 on the banks of the North Shore Channel of the Chicago River, the course is 3,904 yards in length, featuring a narrow and tree-lined fairway and two over-the-water holes. Eleven of the holes are located in Evanston, Illinois and 7 holes are in Wilmette, Illinois.

NorthShore University HealthSystem (formerly Evanston Northwestern Healthcare or ENH) is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving patients throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. NorthShore encompasses six hospitals, as of late 2021 — Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Skokie, Swedish, and Northwest Community — as well as NorthShore Medical Group with more than 70 offices and more than 800 primary and specialty care physicians, the Research Institute and Foundation. In total, the health system employs more than 10,000 people. NorthShore has a teaching affiliation with the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Isabella was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Evanston Line, now known as the Purple Line. The station was located at 1215 Isabella Street in Wilmette, Illinois. Isabella opened on April 1, 1912, and closed on July 16, 1973, due to CTA service cuts. Isabella was situated north of Central and south of Linden. Noyes is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, on the Purple Line in Evanston, Illinois. It is located at 909 Noyes Street (directional coordinates 2225 north, 900 west), just a few blocks west of the north end of Northwestern University's Evanston campus. The Noyes Cultural Center is also nearby. This area of Evanston is a mix of residential and light commercial properties. The automated voice for the station was used in the song "Chamber the Cartridge" by the melodic hardcore band, Rise Against.

Castle Tower Apartments is a historic apartment building at 2212-2226 Sherman Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story building was built in 1928. The building has a "U" shape, a common form for apartment buildings in Evanston, with a large courtyard in the middle. Architects Cable & Spitz designed the building in the Tudor Revival style. Their design includes several rounded and square towers along the sides of the building, crenellation on the towers and roofline, sections of half-timbering, and patches of limestone on the otherwise brick exterior.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

The Northeast Evanston Historic District is a residential historic district in northeastern Evanston, Illinois. The district includes 474 contributing buildings in an area bounded by Sheridan Place to the north, Lake Michigan to the east, Emerson Street to the south, and Ridge Avenue and the CTA's Purple Line to the west. The area was developed later than central and southeast Evanston; while its oldest building dates from the 1860s, most of the homes in the district were built between 1890 and 1930. The district's houses are representative of the popular architectural styles of the period; the American Craftsman, Tudor Revival, and Colonial Revival styles are especially prevalent. Works by many prominent Chicago architects, including Holabird & Roche, Tallmadge & Watson, Howard Van Doren Shaw, George W. Maher, William Carbys Zimmerman, Solon Spencer Beman, and Schmidt, Garden and Martin, can be found in the district. Vernacular works with bungalow, American Foursquare, and gable front designs are also common in the district.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 12, 1999.

Ryan Field is a stadium in Evanston, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago. Near the campus of Northwestern University, it is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the Northwestern Wildcats of the Big Ten Conference. It is the only FBS stadium without permanent lighting. Its current seating capacity is 47,130. Opened 96 years ago in 1926, it was named Dyche Stadium for William Dyche, class of 1882, Evanston mayor from 1895 to 1899 and overseer of the building project. The stadium was renamed Ryan Field in 1997 in honor of the family of Aon Corporation founder Patrick G. Ryan, who was then the chairman of Northwestern's board of trustees. The renaming was made by the other members of the board in recognition of the Ryan family's leadership and numerous contributions to Northwestern, including the lead gift to the Campaign for Athletic Excellence, Northwestern's fundraising drive for athletic facilities.

Rookwood Apartments is a historic apartment building at 718-734 Noyes Street in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story brick building was built in 1927. Architects Conner & O'Connor designed the building in the Tudor Revival style. The building's design includes limestone trim, large square blocks of stone separating the casement windows, and ashlar stone entrances and courtyard walls. The building is noteworthy among Evanston's apartments for its two courtyards; one is open and faces the street, while the second is more private and to the side of the building.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

The old Roycemore School building is a Northwestern University building that is included on the National Register of Historic Places. The structure had formerly housed the Roycemore School from its opening until 2012.

The Evanston Civic Center, historically known as Marywood Academy, is a historic building located at 2100 Ridge Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The building was built in 1900 as Visitation Academy to serve as a girls' Catholic school led by the Visitation Sisters. Architect Henry J. Schlacks gave the building a Georgian Revival design that featured a tripartite massing with a base, middle, and cornice; limestone quoins and belt courses; and Doric pilasters and an architrave molding around the entrance. The Sisters of Providence purchased the school in 1915 and renamed it Marywood Academy; the school operated as Marywood Academy until 1970, reaching a peak enrollment of 532 in the 1964–65 school year. The building was later sold to the City of Evanston and now serves as the city's civic center.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 9, 2006.

Welsh–Ryan Arena is a 7,039-seat multi-purpose arena in Evanston, Illinois, United States, near the campus of Northwestern University. It is home to four Northwestern Wildcats athletic teams: men's basketball, women's basketball, women's volleyball, and wrestling. It is located inside McGaw Memorial Hall, to the north of Ryan Field. The building opened in 1952 as a replacement for Patten Gymnasium, and was the site of the Final Four for the 1956 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. It was extensively renovated in 1983, at which time the main arena was renamed Welsh–Ryan Arena. At the conclusion of the 2016–17 basketball season, the arena was renovated and upgraded as part of a $110 million project completed in late 2018. The renovation displaced the athletic programs that use the arena for the 2017–18 season. For years, Welsh–Ryan Arena was the smallest arena in the Big Ten Conference and the only conference facility that did not seat at least 10,000. With Rutgers University joining the conference in 2014, Welsh–Ryan became the second-smallest arena after the Louis Brown Athletic Center at Rutgers, which has a listed capacity of 8,000. Welsh–Ryan once again became the smallest arena in the Big Ten Conference in 2018, with the listed capacity decreasing to 7,039 after renovations.

Northwestern Field was a football stadium in Evanston, Illinois. It opened in 1905 and was home to the Northwestern Wildcats football team prior to the Dyche Stadium (now known as Ryan Field) opening in 1926. It had a capacity of 10,000 people. Northwestern Field was located on Central Ave, seventy-five feet east of the current stadium.After significant victories during the 1903 season drew large crowds, Northwestern business manager and former Evanston mayor William Dyche lobbied the school for a new stadium, arguing that 1,000-seat Sheppard Field could no longer meet popular demand. A 12-acre (49,000 m2) lot northwest of campus was chosen for the project, with construction beginning in 1904 and ending in 1905.
