Yongjusa

Yonggeonneung is a burial ground from the Joseon dynasty, located within an oak-forested park in Hwaseong, South Korea. Yongneung is the tomb of Crown Prince Sado and Lady Hyegyeong (posthumously honored as King Jangjo and Queen Heongyeong), while Geonneung houses King Jeongjo and Queen Hyoui. They are an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Byeongjeom Station is a station on Line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. It is the only train station serving the city of Hwaseong. It is the southern terminal station for approximately half of the subway trains on this line who then carry on to the nearby depot, one of the five depots on Line 1, with the remainder continuing to Cheonan or Sinchang Station. Many centers of higher education, including Hanshin University, Suwon Science College and the University of Suwon, are located nearby, and shuttle buses run regularly between there and the campuses. In addition, Yungneung (융릉, 隆陵) and Geonneung (건릉, 健陵) – the royal tombs of Crown Prince Sado and his son King Jeongjo, the 22nd ruler of the Joseon Dynasty – lie to the west of the station.

The University of Suwon (Hangul: 수원대학교) is a university in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

Doksan Fortress (Hangul: 독산성, Hanja: 禿山城) is a Korean hill fort located in Osan, South Korea. It is known for the Siege of Doksan in 1593, where the Japanese failed to defeat Gwon Yul during the Imjin War. Located within the fort are the Bujek Buddhist Temple and the Semadae, a monument to Gwon Yul's victory. The site is designated as a Historic Site of South Korea. The annual Doksanseong Culture and Art Festival takes place near the fort each September.

Seryu Station is a station on Line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. It is in southern Suwon. Near Seryu Station lies Suwon Air Base, home to the ROKAF's 10th Fighter Wing. It is between Suwon station and Byeongjeom station.

Suwon Bus Terminal is the main intercity and express bus station serving Suwon, a city in South Korea's north-west province of Gyeonggi-do. The station is located in Gwonseon-gu, 2.6km south-east of Suwon Station. Standing beside a branch of E-Mart, it is not to be confused with West Suwon Bus Terminal, which is located adjacent to a different branch of the same store.

Pyeong-dong is a dong, neighbourhood of Jongno-gu in Seoul, South Korea. It is a legal dong (법정동 法定洞) administered under its administrative dong (행정동 行政洞), Gyonam-dong.

Gosaek station is a railroad station on the Suin–Bundang Line of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It opened on 12 September 2020.

Sema Station is a station on Seoul Subway Line 1 in the city of Osan, South Korea. Services on the Gyeongbu Line also pass through this station.

Seodongtan Station is a station on Line 1 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. It serves the cities of Hwaseong and Osan in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. The station takes its name (literally West Dongtan) from its local area of the city of Hwaseong, but straddles the border with Osan, in which it is mostly located and its postal address lies.

MaetanGwonseon Station is a subway station of the Suin–Bundang Line, the commuter subway line of Korail, the national railway of South Korea. The station was opened in November 2013, as part of the final extension of the Bundang Line.

The Battle of Osan (Korean: 오산 전투) was the first engagement between the United States and North Korea during the Korean War. On July 5, 1950, Task Force Smith, an American task force of 540 infantry supported by an artillery battery, was moved to Osan, south of Seoul, the capital of South Korea, and was ordered to fight as a rearguard to delay the advancing North Korean forces while more US troops arrived to form a stronger defensive line to the south. The task force lacked both anti-tank guns and effective infantry anti-tank weapons and had been equipped with obsolete 2.36-inch (60 mm) rocket launchers and a few 57 mm recoilless rifles. Aside from a limited number of HEAT shells for the unit's 105 mm howitzers, crew-served weapons that could defeat T-34/85 tanks from the Soviet Union had not yet been distributed to the US Army forces in South Korea. A North Korean tank column equipped with ex-Soviet T-34/85 tanks overran the task force in the first encounter and continued its advance south. After the North Korean tank column had breached US lines, the task force opened fire on a force of some 5,000 North Korean infantry that were approaching its position, which held up their advance. North Korean troops eventually flanked and overwhelmed the US positions, and the rest of the task force retreated in disorder.
