St Peter's Church, Treborough

The Anglican Church of St Peter in Williton in the English county of Somerset is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The earliest church on the site may have been the private chapel of a Saxon royal manor. In the 12th century Reginald Fitzurse was the Lord of the manor when he was one of the four knights who murdered Thomas Becket. It was then passed to his brother and the Knights Templar. The church was largely rebuilt in the 16th century and again in the 1850s as part of an extensive Victorian restoration. For many years St Peter's was a chapel of ease of Church of St Decuman, Watchet until 1889 when it became a separate parish. The parish is now part of the benefice of Watchet and Williton within the archdeaconry of Taunton.

Treborough is a small village and civil parish 7 miles (11 km) south of Dunster, lying amongst the Brendon Hills within the Exmoor National Park in Somerset, England.

Brendon Hill (occasionally referred to as "Raleigh's Cross") was an intermediate station on the West Somerset Mineral Railway (WSMR), which was built primarily to carry iron ore from mines to Watchet harbour in Somerset, England. The line was unconnected to any other, though it passed under what is now the West Somerset Railway south of the village of Watchet. The station was located at the top of the line's most striking feature - a three quarters of a mile, rope-hauled incline at a gradient of 1 in 4 (25%). The line's seven stations were designed by Rice Hopkins. Brendon Hill was one of the five which showed a clear family resemblance. It was built in anticipation of offering the usual goods and passenger facilities, but no regular passenger service ever ran south of Comberow. The railway, the incline and especially the mines required labour, so a significant community grew up within sight of the station. Despite its location, which remains remote to this day, Brendon Hill's situation at the head of the incline, together with the happy accidents of having an early railway photographer in the vicinity and exceptional historians interested in the railway has left a rich legacy of photographs of the station in context.

The station was located at the foot of the line's most striking feature - a three quarters of a mile, rope-hauled incline at a gradient of 1 in 4 (25%). The line's seven stations were designed by Rice Hopkins. Comberow was one of the five which showed a clear family resemblance. It offered the usual goods and passenger facilities. Although the station nameboard and all published literature refers to the station as "Comberow", passenger tickets were printed "Combe Row". Comberow's situation in a valley at the foot of the incline, together with the happy accidents of having an early railway photographer in the vicinity and exceptional historians interested in the railway has left a rich legacy of photographs of the station in context.

The Roadwater railway station was an intermediate station on the West Somerset Mineral Railway (WSMR), which was constructed primarily to transport iron ore from mines to Watchet harbour in Somerset, England. The line was isolated from other rail networks, though it passed beneath what is now the West Somerset Railway north of Roadwater. The line's seven stations were designed by Rice Hopkins. Roadwater was one of five stations that shared a distinctive architectural style. It provided typical goods services, as well as coal and passenger facilities. A Temperance Hall was also constructed nearby.

Luxborough Road (sometimes referred to as "Langham" or "Langham Hill") was an intermediate station on the West Somerset Mineral Railway (WSMR), which was built primarily to carry iron ore from mines to Watchet harbour in Somerset, England. The line was unconnected to any other, though it passed under what is now the West Somerset Railway south of the village of Watchet. The station was located west of the top of the line's most striking feature - a three quarters of a mile, rope-hauled incline at a gradient of 1 in 4 (25%). The line's seven stations were designed by Rice Hopkins. Luxborough Road was one of the five which showed a clear family resemblance. It was built in anticipation of offering the usual goods and passenger facilities, but no regular passenger service ever ran south of Comberow. Almost immediately the building was erected it was converted to miners' accommodation by adding a lean-to at the rear. By 1900 the building was roofless and without windows, having been used as a source of materials for repairing other railway buildings.

The line was unconnected to any other, though it passed under what is now the West Somerset Railway south of the village of Watchet. The stopping place was next to a level crossing.

Withycombe is a village, civil parish, and former manor 2.5 miles (4 km) south east of Dunster, and 5 miles (8 km) from Minehead within the Exmoor National Park in Somerset, England. The parish includes the village of Rodhuish. The manor house of the manor of Withycombe survives as Sandhill Farm.
