The 500 George Street is a proposed residential skyscraper to be located at 500 George Street in Brisbane, Australia. The building comprises 144 serviced apartments and student accommodation from level 8 to 25 as well as 248 one and two bedroom residential apartments from level 26 to 56. A full floor resident's sky pool and terrace will be located on level 58. The development involves the retention of the historic King George Chambers building at the front of the site as a foyer and the main pedestrian access point to the new tower.Development application was lodged with the Brisbane City Council in June 2015.

It is also close to the Kurilpa Bridge which gives access to South Bank Parklands and the Queensland Cultural Centre. Facilities available to tenants includes a spa, lap pool, private gym, sauna and an efficient lift system.Nearly two-thirds of the building's apartments had been sold as of February 2013.

205 North Quay is a skyscraper in the city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The tower will provide office space. 205 North Quay was designed by Hassell, REX and Richards & Spence after a design competition was held in 2019. The designed includes outdoor terraces on every level and rooftop facilities. The project is being developed by Cbus Property and Nielson Properties, together with Brisbane’s Raniga family. Level Two will house a gym, wellness studio, shower facilities and an open-air 25 m (82 ft) swimming pool.

It was commonly regarded as the ugliest building in Brisbane.Opened in 1986, the Brisbane Transit Centre is between the Queensland Police Service headquarters and the Roma Street Parkland. The complex includes a number of shops, cafes and restaurants, and two office towers. Access to the centre can be from the ground floor on Roma Street or from the Roma Street Parkland. In March 2016, GPT sold its half share in the property to co-owner the Australian Prime Property Fund.

The Queensland Court of Disputed Returns is a court that adjudicates disputes concerning Queensland Government and local government elections and state referendums in Queensland, Australia. The Court is a division of the Supreme Court of Queensland. A disputed return occurs in which the result of an election is questioned. The name disputed returns derives from the practice in common law countries of the issuing of a writ for the election and then the parliament receiving the results by way of returns after the counting of ballots. The court attempts to eliminate the partisan nature of parliament and gives the determination of electoral disputes to an independent and dispassionate neutral body. As parliament traditionally has the sole authority to determine these matters, parliament must create a special law to bring that body into existence to determine those disputes. Where there is no law, the parliament itself determines these disputes. In the Queensland situation, the parliament has decided that the court should be the only avenue for disputing an election result. The Court has no jurisdiction in Australian federal elections, where disputed returns are heard in the Federal Court of Australia or, on appeal, in the High Court of Australia.

The Supreme Court of Queensland is the highest court in the Australian State of Queensland. It was formerly the Brisbane Supreme Court, in the colony of Queensland. The original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court allows its trial division to hear civil matters involving claims of more than A$750,000; criminal matters involving serious offences (including murder and manslaughter); and matters arising under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and cross-vesting legislation. A jury is used to decide whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty. The division also hears all civil matters involving amounts of more than A$750,000. Task Force Argos is a branch of the Queensland Police Service, responsible for the investigation of online child exploitation and abuse. Founded in 1997, the unit's original charter was to investigate institutional child abuse allegations arising from the Forde Inquiry. The unit's name was derived from Greek mythology, in which Argus Panoptes, or Argos, was a primordial "all seeing" giant with multiple eyes, guardian of the goddess Io. As protector of the goddess, Argos was great and strong: sleep never fell upon his eyes, and he kept sure watch always. Technological advances and wider access to the Internet led the unit in 2002 to explore avenues to address growing community concern over the proliferation of child exploitation across the internet. Task Force Argos identified potential threats to children in online chat rooms, where sexual predators were grooming children and recruiting them to engage in sexual activity.

The Sir Harry Gibbs Legal Heritage Centre is located on the ground floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law, Brisbane, Australia. It is Queensland's only dedicated legal heritage museum. The Centre is open 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. Admission is free.
