The Cathedral of St Stephen is the heritage-listed cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane and seat of its archbishop in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. St Stephen's was only meant to serve as a temporary seat for the archbishop, and plans for a replacement were made with the Holy Name Cathedral, however the cathedral was never built.

Eagle Street Fig Trees is a heritage-listed group of trees at 118A Eagle Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. They were planted c. 1889 by Walter Hill. It is also known as Fig Tree Reserve and Plantation Reserve. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 13 May 2004.

Old St Stephens Church, also known as the Pugin Chapel, is a heritage-listed Roman Catholic church at 249 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by A W Pugin and built from 1848 to 1850 by Alexander Goold and Andrew Petrie. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Riparian Plaza is a 53-storey skyscraper located in the central business district of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The building stands at 250 m (820 ft) in height to its communications spire and 200 m (660 ft) to its roof. It was Brisbane's tallest building until it was surpassed by Aurora in 2006 and is a particularly iconic building on the Brisbane skyline. It is a mixed use building, with 11 car park levels from the ground up, 25 commercial levels, and 12 residential levels originally housing 50 penthouse apartments. On top of the tower is a 50 m (160 ft) communications spire. A recreation centre including a swimming pool is located on 39th floor, between the commercial and residential sections. The carpark is accessed via a helical annexe. The tower has an open plaza and promenade space totaling 3,500 m2 (38,000 sq ft). The upper plaza level contains Madame Wu, an Asian Fusion restaurant. The building was developed by Bloomberg Incorporation Limited with a construction cost of A$130 million. Bloomberg retained ownership of the 30,000 m2 (320,000 sq ft) commercial component and sold off the residential apartments during construction. It is located at 71 Eagle Street, and was the last waterfront vacant block in the Brisbane CBD. Riparian Plaza provided the first, new, premium office space available in the Brisbane CBD for a decade. The building has a total floor area of approximately 55,000 m2 (590,000 sq ft). Brisbane Square completed in 2006, was the next major office building constructed in Brisbane.

St Stephens School is a heritage-listed former Roman Catholic school at 172 Charlotte Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by architect John Ibler and built in 1892 by Thomas Rees. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

The Central Plaza Complex consists of three commercial office buildings located in the Central Business District of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The complex was constructed in three phases with Central Plaza 1 completed first in 1988, followed by Central Plaza 2 in 1990 and Central Plaza 3 in 2008. Central Plaza 1 is the tallest of the three buildings, as well as the fifth tallest building in Brisbane.

The General Post Office (abbreviated: GPO) in Brisbane, Queensland, in Australia is a heritage-listed post office located at 261 Queen Street in 1872 and extended through to Elizabeth Street in 1908. It is still in use by Australia Post. Opposite the GPO building is Post Office Square.

National Mutual Life Building is a heritage-listed office building at 299 Queen Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Gibbs, Finlay & Morsby in conjunction with Thomas Blair Moncrieff Wightman and was built in 1926 by J L Green & Sons. It is also known as Metway Chambers and Custom Credit House. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Manor Apartment Hotel is a heritage-listed former office building and now apartment hotel at 289 Queen Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Hennessey, Hennessey & Co and built from 1930 to 1931 by Concrete Constructions (QLD) Limited. It is also known as Colonial Mutual Life Building and Newspaper House. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Officially named the AMP Centre, the AMP Place is a gold-coloured skyscraper located in the heart of the Brisbane central business district in Queensland, Australia. It can be seen from most parts of the city and is known locally as "The Gold Tower". When the skyscraper was completed in 1978, it was Brisbane's tallest building. It consists of 35 floors and is 135 m (443 ft) high. The architects were Peddle Thorp & Walker. In April 2021, CPP Investment Board and Dexus sold the building to Marquette.

Wenley House is a heritage-listed warehouse at 20-30 Market Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Thomas Taylor and built in 1864. It is also known as Jewell's Building. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

The 1st Military District was an administrative district of the Australian Army. During the Second World War, the 1st Military District covered all of Queensland, with its headquarters at Brisbane. In March 1939 a regional command structure was adopted, and the 1st Military District in Queensland became Northern Command. This required legislative changes to the Defence Act (1903), and did not come into effect until October 1939.
