Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (English: University of the City of Valenzuela), also referred to by its acronym PLV is a local government unit-owned public university located in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, Philippines. PLV is a member of the Association of Local Colleges and Universities. The Council of Valenzuela approved Ordinance No. 14 on June 5, 2002, which paved way for the establishment of PLV. The city-funded institution of higher learning offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs to students of the city. Started as an initiative by high school principals in Valenzuela, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela was initially located at a government building within the vicinity of the old municipal complex of Valenzuela. In 2008, the city government bought a parcel of land near Children of Mary Immaculate College. In 2016, the city government of Valenzuela implemented a full subsidy on tuition and miscellaneous fees in PLV and Valenzuela City Polytechnic College (ValPoly). The city government inaugurated a new PLV campus located along Tongco Street in Barangay Maysan, Valenzuela in 2018.

Maysan Road is one of the main east–west thoroughfares of Valenzuela, Philippines. It is a narrow street with only one lane in each direction making it one of the most congested streets in northern Metro Manila. It runs for approximately 4.5 kilometers (2.8 mi) from MacArthur Highway in barangay Malinta, past the North Luzon Expressway intersection, into North Caloocan. The road connects the central Valenzuela barangays of Malinta, Maysan, Paso de Blas, and Bagbaguin. It was the main access road for vehicles going to Valenzuela and the Manila North Harbor from the North Luzon Expressway prior to the construction of NLEX Segment 9 (NLEX Karuhatan Link), which parallels it to the south.

St. Louis College Valenzuela, formerly known as Philippine College of Technological Resources (PCTR) is a private school located at Maysan Road, Valenzuela City, Philippines. Politician and celebrity, Shalani Soledad, comic journalist, Marc Logan, and volleyball player Cha Cruz, are among its well-known high school alumni.

Valenzuela Medical Center, formerly known as the Valenzuela General Hospital, is a government healthcare centre and hospital in Karuhatan, Valenzuela, Metro Manila, Philippines. The hospital is administered by the National Government through the Department of Health.

SM City Valenzuela is a shopping mall owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings, the largest retail and mall operator in the Philippines. It is located along MacArthur Highway, Barangay Karuhatan, Valenzuela City. Opened on October 28, 2005, it is the first SM Supermall in Valenzuela City and in the CAMANAVA Area. It is also the 21st SM Supermall in the Philippines after SM City San Lazaro in Santa Cruz, Manila.

Valenzuela (, Tagalog: [ˌvalenˈswela]), officially the City of Valenzuela (Filipino: Lungsod ng Valenzuela), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 714,978 people. It is the 6th most populous city in the National Capital Region, and the 11th most populous in the country. It is located about 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) north of Manila, the nation's capital. Valenzuela is categorized under Republic Act Nos. 7160 and 8526 as a highly urbanized, first-class city based on income classification and number of population. A landlocked chartered city located on the island of Luzon, it is bordered by the province of Bulacan, and cities of Caloocan, Malabon and Quezon City. Valenzuela shares border and access to Tenejeros-Tullahan River with Malabon. It has a total land area of 45.75 square kilometers (17.66 sq mi), where its residents are composed of about 72% Tagalog people followed by 5% Bicolanos with a small percentage of foreign nationals. Valenzuela was named after Pío Valenzuela, a physician and a member of the Katipunan, a secret society founded against the colonial government of Spain. The city, as a town, originally had the name Polo, initially formed in 1621 after separation from Meycauayan, Bulacan. The Battle of Malinta of the Philippine–American War was fought in Polo in 1899. In 1960, President Carlos P. Garcia ordered the split of Polo's southern barangays to form another town named as Valenzuela. The split was revoked by President Diosdado Macapagal in 1963 after political disagreements and the new merged town was named Valenzuela. The modern-day Valenzuela with its borders was chartered in 1998.

On May 13, 2015, a fire broke out at the Kentex Manufacturing factory in Valenzuela, Metro Manila, Philippines. Seventy-four people were killed in the fire, making the incident the third worst fire incident in Philippine history; after the Ozone Disco Club fire in 1996 and the Manor Hotel fire in Quezon City in 2001, which killed 162 and 75 people respectively.

The Parish of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima (Filipino: Pambansang Dambana ng Birhen ng Fatima) is a parish church and national shrine in the Diocese of Malolos in the Philippines. It serves as a Philippine apostolate of Our Lady of Fatima in Fátima, Portugal, which is recognized by the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. The shrine is located near the Our Lady of Fatima University campus in Marulas, Valenzuela City in Metro Manila, Philippines. The shrine is one of the three major pilgrimage sites in the Diocese of Malolos, with the National Shrine of St. Anne in Hagonoy and the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Marilao as the other sites. The National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima is the home of the National Pilgrim Image (NPI) of Our Lady of Fatima, the image that became the forefront of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.

Museo Valenzuela is a museum in Valenzuela in Metro Manila, Philippines. It is the city's historical and cultural landmark, named after Pío Valenzuela in 1963. Museo Valenzuela features collections of artifacts depicting the city's past and continuing development, it also serves as a repository of the city's rich heritage and a beacon of light to its people and guests. It is likewise a venue for historical, cultural, and artistic presentations as well as seminars and symposia on national and local issues.
