St Thomas' Church, Birmingham

Immanuel Church, Birmingham, later known as St Thomas and Immanuel, Birmingham was a Church of England parish church in Birmingham.

Five Ways tram stop is a tram stop on Line 1 of the West Midlands Metro located in Five Ways, Birmingham. It opened on 17 July 2022 as the when the line was extended from Library to Edgbaston. It is the recommended interchange stop for trains at Five Ways railway station on the Cross-City Line, which is approximately 0.4 miles (0.64 km) away, roughly an eight minute walk.

Heart West Midlands is a regional radio station owned and operated by Global as part of the Heart network. It broadcasts to the West Midlands from studios in Birmingham.

Five Ways Tower is a 23-storey commercial building, completed in 1979, on a 2.1-acre (8,500 m2) prime site located in the Birmingham City Centre by the corner of Frederick Road and Islington Road, near to the Five Ways roundabout and close to Five Ways Station, at the gateway to the Edgbaston area of Birmingham 15, England. Several hotels expressed interest in acquiring the building from its owners, since its solid concrete design could be converted into a business class hotel. The building is vacant due to the last tenants evacuating the building in 2005 due to ill health amongst the workforce. It was discovered that the building suffers from sick building syndrome, and being too expensive to refurbish to modern standards a likely option is demolition in line with the regeneration of the surrounding area. The building has in excess of 100,000 sq ft (9,300 m2) of existing net office space, six lifts, basement storage, and a double height floor at the top. The building has a carpark for approximately 200 cars allocated to the Tower. The building's architect was Philip Bright of the Property Services Agency. Andy Foster described it as being similar to the work of James Stirling.

Regal Tower is a proposed skyscraper to be constructed on a site bounded by Broad Street, Oozells Way and Sheepcote Street in Ladywood, just outside of Central Birmingham, England. The proposal consists of a 56 storey tower, measuring 200.5 metres (658 ft) tall, housing retail units, a luxury hotel, residential apartments and car parking. Provision has been made for 256 serviced apartments, although these could make way for additional hotel space. The tower has been designed by Aedas and was proposed by Regal Property Group, with DTZ Debenham Tie Leung acting on their behalf. If completed as originally planned, the skyscraper would be the second tallest building in the UK outside of London.

The Mercian (also known as 212 Broad Street by its address and formerly known as 2one2 Broad Street and Broad Street Tower) is a 132-metre-tall (433 ft) residential skyscraper on Broad Street in Birmingham, England. It is designed by Glenn Howells Architects, the developer is Moda Living and the main contractor is John Sisk & Son.The building is 42 storeys in height, consisting of a 39-storey residential building (30 studios, 163 one bed, 260 two bed and 28 three-bedroom apartments) which sits on a three-storey podium with over 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2) of community amenity space. The build is valued at £183m and was completed in May 2022.The tower sits perpendicular to the street with the front-facing Five Ways. Originally, a helipad was proposed to be located on top of the building on a podium, but this was removed from the design, though the podium remained with some minor changes.The tower was scheduled to be presented before a planning committee in late August 2006. However, the developers pulled out minutes before the meeting to make changes.The application was presented again on 28 September and whilst it was originally deferred due to lack of information, concerns over height and payment of money under Section 106, it was later approved. The updated proposal boasted a partial redesign, increasing the height of the tower and creating a redesigned façade. Construction of the skyscraper began in April 2019.The Mercian is the tallest building in Birmingham and the second tallest structure, after the BT Tower. However, this title is expected to be handed over to Octagon, a 49-storey skyscraper currently under construction and due for completion in 2025.

Five Ways railway station is a railway station serving the Five Ways and Lee Bank areas of Birmingham, England. It is situated on the Cross-City Line. The original Five Ways station operated between 1885 and 1944. The station was reopened in 1978 when the Cross-City line services were created.

Five Ways is an area of Central Birmingham, England. It takes its name from a major road junction, now a busy roundabout (with pedestrian subways through a traffic island) to the south-west of the city centre which lies at the outward end of Broad Street, where the Birmingham Middle ring road crosses the start of the A456 (Hagley Road).

Capital Midlands is a regional radio station owned and operated by Global as part of the Capital network. It broadcasts to Birmingham, parts of the Black Country and the East Midlands from studios at Brindleyplace in Birmingham City Centre. The station launched in April 2019 as a result of a merger between Capital Birmingham and Capital East Midlands.

Barbarella's was a nightclub and music venue located in Birmingham, England. The name of the club was taken from the film Barbarella. The club opened in 1972 and closed in August 1979. This club was one of Eddie Fewtrell's clubs. Fewtrell promoted known rock bands at that time, such as AC/DC, Dire Straits, Queen, Sex Pistols and The Clash. Duran Duran's drummer Roger Taylor played at Barbarella's with punk bands in the 1970s. Both The Prefects and The Photos recorded a song called Barbarella's, the latter mourning the closure of the club.

St James’s House is a Grade II listed office building in Birmingham, England. The 1950s building was designed for the Engineering and Allied Employer’s Federation by the local architect, John Madin, and built from 1955–1957. It is located at 16 Frederick Road, at its junction with St James Road (note spelling), in the Edgbaston district of the city. It is one, of the fourteen finest post-war offices designed by leading architects" listed by Historic England in January 2015. They noted the "bold, modern exterior" and an interior designed to "forge constructive relations between employers and their workforce".

Ladywood is an inner-city district next to central Birmingham. Historically in Warwickshire, in June 2004, Birmingham City Council conducted a citywide "Ward Boundary Revision" to round-up the 39 Birmingham wards to 40. As a result of this, Ladywood Ward's boundaries were expanded to include the neighbouring areas of Hockley, Lee Bank and Birmingham city centre.
