Herculaneum High School is a public high school in the Dunklin R-V School District in Herculaneum, Missouri.

Gov. Daniel Dunklin's Grave is a Missouri state park at Herculaneum, Missouri, preserving the gravesite of Daniel Dunklin, who was governor of Missouri during the mid-1830s. Dunklin died in 1844 and was buried on his family estate, but was reinterred in 1885 when most of the estate he was buried on was sold. In 1965, the state of Missouri took control of the site to serve as a memorial to Dunklin, who is credited as the father of Missouri's public education system. The site covers 1.37 acres (0.55 ha) and is operated by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The cemetery is surrounded by limestone walls and overlooks the Mississippi River.

Herculaneum is a city in Jefferson County, Missouri, and is a suburb of St. Louis. The population was 4,273 at the 2020 United States Census. The City of Herculaneum was the first county seat of Jefferson County from January 1, 1819, to 1839. The city celebrated its bicentennial throughout 2008. The city received the "Tree City USA" designation by the Arbor Day Foundation for 11 consecutive years, 2007 through 2017. The city is the honorary hometown of the 40th Airlift Squadron, "The Screaming Eagles," from Dyess Air Force Base in Texas.

Sandy Creek is a stream in Jefferson County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Joachim Creek which it enters just south of Pevely adjacent to I-55. The stream flows through the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site where it is crossed by the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge.Sandy Creek was named for the sandy character of the creek bed.
