Sandy Creek is a stream in Jefferson County in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary of Joachim Creek which it enters just south of Pevely adjacent to I-55. The stream flows through the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site where it is crossed by the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge.Sandy Creek was named for the sandy character of the creek bed.

I-55 Raceway, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, is a 1⁄3-mile (0.54 km) dirt track located in Pevely, Missouri. The track is owned by Ray Marler and former NASCAR driver Ken Schrader. Federated Auto Parts, a longtime sponsor of Schrader's in NASCAR, ARCA and dirt track racing, is the title sponsor of the track.

Joachim Creek is a stream in Jefferson and St. Francois counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is a tributary to the Mississippi River. The stream headwaters arise in northern St. Francois County southeast of Halifax and it flows north roughly parallel to and east of US Route 67. The stream enters Jefferson County and just northeast of Valles Mines the stream turns to the northwest and passes under Route 67. The stream turns north and passes through De Soto and continues northeast past Victoria and Hematite. West of Festus the stream meanders north and northwest past Silica and Ludwigs. It then turns eastward passes under US Route 55 and the south side of Herculaneum to its confluence with the Mississippi.The source area is at 38°00′03″N 90°28′38″W and the confluence is at 38°15′39″N 90°22′19″W.St. Joachim might be the namesake. Variant names include Swashing or Swashin Creek, Yokum Creek and Joachun River.

Pevely is a city in Jefferson County, Missouri, United States, and is also a suburb of St. Louis. The population was 6,107, at the 2020 United States Census.

Gov. Daniel Dunklin's Grave is a Missouri state park at Herculaneum, Missouri, preserving the gravesite of Daniel Dunklin, who was governor of Missouri during the mid-1830s. Dunklin died in 1844 and was buried on his family estate, but was reinterred in 1885 when most of the estate he was buried on was sold. In 1965, the state of Missouri took control of the site to serve as a memorial to Dunklin, who is credited as the father of Missouri's public education system. The site covers 1.37 acres (0.55 ha) and is operated by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The cemetery is surrounded by limestone walls and overlooks the Mississippi River.
