Strawberry Crest High School is a public high school in East Hillsborough County, Florida. It opened on August 25, 2009 with students from Armwood High School, Durant High School and Plant City High School. It was built to relieve the over-population of the students in these high schools. Along with Steinbrenner High School, it is the most recently constructed high school in Hillsborough County. Strawberry Crest is the 4th high school in Hillsborough County to be certified as an International Baccalaureate high school. A number of the instructors for the IB courses come from the International Baccalaureate Program at the older C. Leon King High School, in Tampa. Mark Watson is the current principal. Former principal, David Brown, left the school in 2019 to move to the district's newest high school in 10 years and was replaced by Christie Raburn, who herself left in 2023.The school is located at the intersection of Gallagher Road and 92 in Dover, Florida, on land that was once the family farm of longtime school board member Joe E. Newsome. The school mascot is the Chargers, which is similar to the logo of the NFL team Denver Broncos, although dressed in the school colors which are red, black, and silver. The school was named Strawberry Crest in order to honor the strawberry growers of the region. Strawberry Crest is one of only three high schools whose students are eligible to become queen of the Florida Strawberry Festival, along with Durant, Plant City, and Hillsborough Community College.

Lake Thonotosassa is an 839 acres (340 ha) lake named after Thonotosassa, Florida. Residential development surrounds the lake. There are no roads that cross it, but the four roads that go around it are: Taylor Road/Fort King Highway (west), Thonotosassa Road (south), McIntosh Road (east), and Knights-Griffin Road (north). U.S. Route 301 is about a quarter-mile northeast of the lake. The lake is owned and maintained by the Tampa Port Authority.

It holds 84,524 volumes and offers free wireless access, 14 Internet-connected computers, photocopiers, public FAX access, snack/beverage vending machines, and a public meeting room. The Seffner-Mango Branch serves the two communities of Seffner and Mango.

Seffner is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population at the 2020 census was 8,362, up from 7,579 at the 2010 census. Located approximately 13 miles (21 km) east of downtown Tampa, Seffner is considered a suburb. Though still characterized by towering live oak trees, strawberry farms and lakes, Seffner has been growing rapidly in recent years, with housing subdivisions being added to the once rural landscape.

Dinosaur World is a chain of outdoor dinosaur theme parks in the US. Their locations include Plant City, Florida; Glen Rose, Texas; and Cave City, Kentucky. The parks feature over 150 life-size dinosaur sculptures created by Christer Svensson. The Florida location opened in November 1998, the Kentucky location five years after, and Texas location followed five years after that. In each park, life-size dinosaur statues are placed among native vegetation or water features to simulate animals in a wild environment. Plant species that date from the time of the dinosaurs can be found on the grounds and identified with small signs. At a "Fossil Dig", kids can dig at a sand table for real fossils.The dinosaur sculptures themselves are made from a base of carved polystyrene foam, covered with fiberglass, then putty which is textured as the skin and painted. Each dinosaur is made on location at the park; about three new dinosaur replicas are added each year.

Hillsborough River State Park is located in the northeast corner of Hillsborough County, Florida near Zephyrhills (which is itself in Pasco County). It is a popular park due to its proximity to the city of Tampa. The park consists of over 3,383 acres, and there are more than seven miles of trails that run throughout it. Popular activities include fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, camping, birding, easy to moderate hiking, trail running, and Nature photography. The park has award-winning campgrounds, a restaurant, and gift shop. Canoes and bicycles can be rented at the park.

Armwood Senior High School is a public high school located in Seffner, Florida, United States, on U.S. Highway 92. It opened in August 1984. The school is named after Blanche Armwood, a longtime Tampa resident, educator and activist. The school's mascot is the Hawk. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,809 students and 104.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 17.4:1. There were 1,227 students (67.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 167 (9.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Seffner Christian Academy is a private Christian school located in Seffner, Florida, United States. It was established in 1983. Seffner Christian enrolls over 600 students. In 2013, the Tampa Bay Business Journal listed SCA as Tampa's 21st most expensive private school, out of 23 rated.
