Lake Thonotosassa

Thonotosassa is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 15,238 at the 2020 census, up from 13,014 at the 2010 census.

The Thonotosassa Branch Library is an 8,000 square foot library that serves the community of Thonotosassa as well as the rest of northeastern Hillsborough County. This rural Hillsborough County Branch provides easy access to library materials in physical and electronic format as well as Internet access, programs and technology classes for all ages. The Thonotosassa Branch library is a part of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library System.

Antioch is an unincorporated community in eastern Hillsborough County, Florida, United States, located on the east side of Lake Thonotosassa. It is partly within the Thonotosassa census-designated place.

Hillsborough River State Park is located in the northeast corner of Hillsborough County, Florida near Zephyrhills (which is itself in Pasco County). It is a popular park due to its proximity to the city of Tampa. The park consists of over 3,383 acres, and there are more than seven miles of trails that run throughout it. Popular activities include fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, camping, birding, easy to moderate hiking, trail running, and Nature photography. The park has award-winning campgrounds, a restaurant, and gift shop. Canoes and bicycles can be rented at the park.

Strawberry Crest High School is a public high school in East Hillsborough County, Florida. It opened on August 25, 2009 with students from Armwood High School, Durant High School and Plant City High School. It was built to relieve the over-population of the students in these high schools. Along with Steinbrenner High School, it is the most recently constructed high school in Hillsborough County. Strawberry Crest is the 4th high school in Hillsborough County to be certified as an International Baccalaureate high school. A number of the instructors for the IB courses come from the International Baccalaureate Program at the older C. Leon King High School, in Tampa. Mark Watson is the current principal. Former principal, David Brown, left the school in 2019 to move to the district's newest high school in 10 years and was replaced by Christie Raburn, who herself left in 2023.The school is located at the intersection of Gallagher Road and 92 in Dover, Florida, on land that was once the family farm of longtime school board member Joe E. Newsome. The school mascot is the Chargers, which is similar to the logo of the NFL team Denver Broncos, although dressed in the school colors which are red, black, and silver. The school was named Strawberry Crest in order to honor the strawberry growers of the region. Strawberry Crest is one of only three high schools whose students are eligible to become queen of the Florida Strawberry Festival, along with Durant, Plant City, and Hillsborough Community College.

It holds 84,524 volumes and offers free wireless access, 14 Internet-connected computers, photocopiers, public FAX access, snack/beverage vending machines, and a public meeting room. The Seffner-Mango Branch serves the two communities of Seffner and Mango.

Armwood Senior High School is a public high school located in Seffner, Florida, United States, on U.S. Highway 92. It opened in August 1984. The school is named after Blanche Armwood, a longtime Tampa resident, educator and activist. The school's mascot is the Hawk. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,809 students and 104.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 17.4:1. There were 1,227 students (67.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 167 (9.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Located approximately 13 miles (21 km) east of downtown Tampa, Seffner is considered a suburb. Though still characterized by towering live oak trees, strawberry farms and lakes, Seffner has been growing rapidly in recent years, with housing subdivisions being added to the once rural landscape.

The Confederate Memorial Park is a monument located in Tampa, Florida. The monument, which stands close to the intersection of I-4 and I-75, featured a large Confederate battle flag, which can be seen from the intersection.
