Borøya, Bærum

Høvikodden is a headland in Bærum municipality, Norway, by the Oslofjord near the populated area Høvik, whence its name was taken. It is the site of the Henie Onstad Kunstsenter. A small beach is nearby. Further east are the headquarters of the classification company Det Norske Veritas.

The Henie Onstad Kunstsenter is an art museum located at Høvikodden in Bærum municipality in Viken county, Norway. It is situated on a headland jutting into the Oslofjord, approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southwest of Oslo.

Høvik Verk is a district in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Its population as of 2007 is 3,940.

Blommenholm Station (Norwegian: Blommenholm stasjon) is a railway station of the Drammen Line situated at Blommenholm in Bærum, Norway. Located 12.23 kilometres (7.60 mi) from Oslo Central Station, it is served by line L1 of the Oslo Commuter Rail. It is located in a primarily residential area and has four regular hourly services operated by Vy. The station features an island platform accessible from the station building on the south side. The station opened on 10 May 1910, following the construction of housing in the vicinity. It received major upgrade from 1917 to 1922, when an all-new station building and the railway was doubled, electrified and gauge converted to standard gauge. This gave a thirty-minuted headway to Oslo and Sandvika. Blommenholm was staffed until 1969 and previously featured a post office.

Kalvøya (English: Calf Island) is situated in the inner Oslofjord. The island is right outside of Sandvika in Bærum. The island has been connected to the mainland by a suspension bridge to Kadettangen since 1963. Kalvøya is one of the most popular bathing spots in Bærum. On the far east side of the island there is a nude beach. Kalvøya plays host to an annual soccer tournament for kids and a children's festival. The festival Øyafestivalen also has its roots there. There was an annual music festival (Kalvøyafestivalen) on the island where several international performers have played live over the years including Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, Leonard Cohen, Morten Abel, and The September When.

Sjøholmen is an area between Sandvika and Høvikodden in Bærum, Norway. Originally farmland, it was used as a residential property from 1898, and then for various municipal institutions since the 1970s.

Blommenholm is a district in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Its population (2007) is 2,936.It is served by the train station Blommenholm on the Drammen Line.

Ramstad Station (Norwegian: Ramstad holdeplass) was a railway station situated at Ramstad in Bærum, Norway, on the Drammen Line. The station, located 10.40 kilometers (6.46 mi) from Oslo West Station, was served by Oslo Commuter Rail trains of the Norwegian State Railways. Ramstad opened on 1 November 1931 with two simple side platforms. Ticket sales remained until 1964. The station was one of several closed on 3 July 1973 as part of a service upgrade to speed up local trains on the Drammen Line.

Danmark (English: Denmark) is an islet located near Sandvika in the Municipality of Bærum, Norway. While the original meaning is not exactly verified, the name of the islet reflects Norwegians' (friendly) joking about the relatively small geographical size of Denmark proper. Like Denmark, this islet is flat, small, and located overseas south of Bærum. The name predates 1814, when the personal union known as Denmark–Norway was dissolved. In a sale of land in the 1780s, it was mentioned that the sale included 'a little island called Denmark' (Danish: en lille ø kaldet Danmark).

Øverlandselva is a river that flows through Bærum, Norway. It starts near Øverland in northern Bærum, at the confluence of the creeks Seternbekken and Ilabekken. It runs south and southwest, emptying into the eastern side of Engervannet at Blommenholm. A river runs from Engervannet and flows into Sandvikselva, but this portion is called Rønneelva.

Løkeberg is a district in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Its population (2007) is 4,568.
