Zhongshanba Station (Chinese: 中山八站; Cantonese Yale: Jūngsāanbaat Jaahm), formerly Zhongshan Balu Station (中山八路站; Jūngsāan Baat Louh Jaahm; 'Sun Yat-sen 8th Road Station') during planning, is a station on Line 5 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located under the junction of Zhongshan 8th Road (中山八路) and Huangsha Avenue (黄沙大道) in the commercial area of the Liwan District, near Liwan Lake (荔湾湖) and Guangzhou-Foshan Coach Terminal (广佛客运站). It opened on 28 December 2009.

Ruyifang Station (Chinese: 如意坊站; pinyin: Rúyìfāng Zhàn; Jyutping: jyu4ji3fong1 zaam6) is a station on Line 6 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located underground in the Liwan District of Guangzhou. It started operation on 28 December 2013.

Liwan District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China. The district is split into two parts by the Pearl River: Xiguan in the northeast and Fangcun in the southwest.

Tanwei Station (Chinese: 坦尾站; Cantonese Yale: Táanméih Jaahm), formerly Datansha South Station (大坦沙南站; Daaihtáansā Nàahm Jaahm) and Datansha Station (大坦沙站; Daaihtáansā Jaahm) during planning, is an elevated station on Line 5 of the Guangzhou Metro and an underground station on Line 6. It is located at Zhongshuangqiao Park (中双桥公园) on Datansha Island in the Liwan District. It opened on 28 December 2009. It became an interchange station between Line 5 and Line 6 on 28 December 2013.

Changshou Lu Station (simplified Chinese: 长寿路站; traditional Chinese: 長壽路站; Jyutping: coeng4 sau6 lou6 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Chèuhngsauh Louh Jaahm; lit. 'Longevity Road Station') is a station on Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro that began operations on June 28, 1999. It is situated underground at the junction of Changshou Road West (Chinese: 长寿西路) and Baohua Road (宝华路) in Guangzhou's Liwan District, near the Shangxiajiu shopping area.

Xiguan Creek (Chinese: 西关涌; pinyin: Xiguān chōng; Jyutping: Sai1gwaan1 cung1) is a former river located in Xiguan, Guangzhou, China. It was about 5 kilometres (3 mi) long and divided into two branches: the Upper Xiguan Creek and the Lower Xiguan Creek. Because of urban development, the waterway has been converted into culverts. During the reign of the Ming Dynasty Wanli Emperor (1572–1620), ships could sail along Xiguan Creek up to the Qingyun Bridge, which is today's Qingyun Li, Taoshadang, and Wanzhong Li. Since the time of the Qing Dynasty, Daguan River, which is connected to Xiguan Creek, has silted up as far as Guilan (called Ruixing Li today). In 1810, Qingyun Li, Taoshadang, and Wanzhong Li were reclaimed. Daguan River ends at 14-Pu Pier, at today's Tu Di Gong Temple in Ruixing Li. According to Nanhaixian Zhi (1872), Ruixing Li had become land by siltation, and Daguan River reached only to Guangya Li. By 1954 only the waterway to the west of Niuru Bridge remained.

The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall or Chen Clan Academy is an academic temple in Guangzhou, China, built by the 72 Chen clans for their juniors' accommodation and preparation for the imperial examinations in 1894 during the Qing dynasty. Later it was changed to be the Chen Clan's Industry College, and then middle schools afterward. Now it houses the Guangdong Folk Art Museum. Located at Zhongshan 7th Road beside the Chen Clan Academy metro station, the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is a symmetric complex consist of 19 buildings with nine halls and six courtyards. Facing south, the complex forms around a north–south axis. A large collection of southern China art pieces, such as wood carvings and pottery, can be found in the structure. The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall complex exemplifies traditional Chinese architecture and decoration style, and has influenced cultural and architectural developments worldwide. It was added in the list of "Cultural Relics of National Importance under the Protection of the State" in 1988.

Shamian (also romanized as Shameen or Shamin, both from its Cantonese pronunciation) is a sandbank island in the Liwan District of Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The island's name literally means "sandy surface" in Chinese. The territory was divided into two concessions given to France and the United Kingdom by the Qing government in the 19th century (1859 to 1943). The island is a gazetted historical area that serves as a tranquil reminder of the colonial European period, with quiet pedestrian avenues flanked by trees and lined by historical buildings in various states of upkeep. The island is the location of several hotels, a youth hostel, restaurants and tourist shops selling curios and souvenirs.

Huangsha Station (simplified Chinese: 黄沙站; traditional Chinese: 黃沙站; Jyutping: wong2 saa1 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Wóngsā Jaahm) is a station on Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro and was the first Line 1 station to have platform screen doors installed. It started operations on 28 June 1997. It was the terminus of Line 1 when the Guangzhou Metro started the service in 1997. It is situated under the junction of Datong Road (Chinese: 大同路) and Liu'ersan Road (六二三路) in the Liwan District of Guangzhou. It is near Shamian Island, where the White Swan Hotel and many Western style buildings are. It became an interchange station between Line 1 and Line 6 of the Guangzhou Metro in 2013.

Xichang Station (simplified Chinese: 西场站; traditional Chinese: 西場站; Cantonese Yale: Sāichèuhng Jaahm), formerly Dongfeng Road West Station (东风西路站; 東風西路站; Dūngfūng Sāi Louh Jaahm) during planning, is a station on Line 5 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located under the junction of Huanshi Road West (环市西路) and Dongfeng Road West (东风西路) in the Liwan District of Guangzhou. Huanshi Road West is the main shopping area for shoes in the city. The station opened on 28 December 2009.
