Jinhua Subdistrict is a subdistrict in Liwan District, Guangzhou, People's Republic of China.

Chen Clan Academy Station (simplified Chinese: 陈家祠站; traditional Chinese: 陳家祠站; Jyutping: can4 gaa1 ci4 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Chàhngāchìh Jaahm) is an interchange station between Line 1 and Line 8 of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operations on 28 June 1999 and is situated underground Zhongshan 7th Road (Chinese: 中山七路) in the Liwan District. The station was named after the nearby Chen Clan Academy, an academy constructed by the Chen family for their juniors' accommodation and study in Guangzhou during the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911).

Xichang Station (simplified Chinese: 西场站; traditional Chinese: 西場站; Cantonese Yale: Sāichèuhng Jaahm), formerly Dongfeng Road West Station (东风西路站; 東風西路站; Dūngfūng Sāi Louh Jaahm) during planning, is a station on Line 5 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located under the junction of Huanshi Road West (环市西路) and Dongfeng Road West (东风西路) in the Liwan District of Guangzhou. Huanshi Road West is the main shopping area for shoes in the city. The station opened on 28 December 2009.

Zhongshanba Station (Chinese: 中山八站; Cantonese Yale: Jūngsāanbaat Jaahm), formerly Zhongshan Balu Station (中山八路站; Jūngsāan Baat Louh Jaahm; 'Sun Yat-sen 8th Road Station') during planning, is a station on Line 5 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located under the junction of Zhongshan 8th Road (中山八路) and Huangsha Avenue (黄沙大道) in the commercial area of the Liwan District, near Liwan Lake (荔湾湖) and Guangzhou-Foshan Coach Terminal (广佛客运站). It opened on 28 December 2009.

Guangxiao Temple (Chinese: 光孝寺) is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Guangzhou, the capital of China's Guangdong Province. As the special geographical position, Guangxiao Temple often acted as a stopover point for Asian missionary monks in the past. It also played a central role in propagating various elements of Buddhism, including precepts school, Chan (Zen), Shingon Buddhism, and Pure Land. In this temple, Huineng, the sixth Chinese patriarch of Chan Buddhism, made his first public Chan lecture and was tonsured, and Amoghavajra, a Shingon Buddhist master, gave his first teaching of esoteric Buddhism. Many Buddhist scriptures were also translated here, including those translated by Yijing and the Shurangama-sūtra translated by Paramitiin (般剌密諦).

Hualin Temple, also known as the Temple of the Five Hundred Genii or Gods, or Hualinsi Buddhist Temple, is a Buddhist temple in Guangzhou, China.

Changshou Lu Station (simplified Chinese: 长寿路站; traditional Chinese: 長壽路站; Jyutping: coeng4 sau6 lou6 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Chèuhngsauh Louh Jaahm; lit. 'Longevity Road Station') is a station on Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro that began operations on June 28, 1999. It is situated underground at the junction of Changshou Road West (Chinese: 长寿西路) and Baohua Road (宝华路) in Guangzhou's Liwan District, near the Shangxiajiu shopping area.

Xicun Station (Chinese: 西村站; Cantonese Yale: Sāichyūn Jaahm) is a station on Line 5 and Line 8 of the Guangzhou Metro. It is located under the junction of Huanshi Road West (环市西路) and Xizeng Road (西增路) in the Liwan District. Huanshi Road West is one of the main shopping areas for shoes in Guangzhou. The station opened on 28 December 2009.

Lychee Bay or Litchi Bay (simplified Chinese: 荔枝湾; traditional Chinese: 荔枝灣; pinyin: Lìzhī Wān; Jyutping: Lai6 zi1 waan1), a set of creeks and lakes that flow southwest to Pearl River, is a tourist attraction in Guangzhou (Canton), Guangdong. Liwan District, where Lychee Bay is located, was named after it. There are many historical relics and historical architectures in Lychee Bay, such as Wenta and Xiguan House. Various cultural activities are held on Lychee Bay, such as the Cantonese opera competition.

Dongfeng is a subdistrict of the Yuexiu District in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, southern China.

The Huaisheng Mosque (Chinese: 广州怀圣寺; also known as the Lighthouse Mosque and the Great Mosque of Canton) is the main mosque of Guangzhou. Rebuilt many times over its history, it is traditionally thought to have been originally built over 1,300 years ago, which would make it one of the oldest mosques in the world.In China, the most unusual feature of the mosque is its pointed 36 metre minaret, the Guangta or Kwangtah. Although this meant the "Plain Pagoda" in reference to its unadorned surface, it is also sometimes taken to mean "lighthouse" and gave the mosque its alternate name. Somewhat similar "minimalist" minarets can be seen outside China, e.g. at the Khan's Mosque in Kasimov, Russia. The mosque was visited by Tim Severin's crew of the Sohar, that sailed into Canton from Muscat in July 1981, recreating the fictional voyage of Sinbad the Sailor.

Liwan District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China. The district is split into two parts by the Pearl River: Xiguan in the northeast and Fangcun in the southwest.
