Paddington is an inner suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census, Paddington had a population of 8,562 people.Paddington is located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of the Brisbane CBD. As is common with other suburbs in the area, Paddington is located on a number of steep ridges and hills. It was settled in the 1860s. Many original and distinctive Queenslander homes can be found in the suburb. Houses are frequently built on stumps, owing to the steep nature of their blocks. Between 2005 and 2010, the median house price has risen over 50% to $1,125,000.Paddington includes the neighbourhood of Rosalie, which has its centre at the junction of Baroona Road and Nash Street (27.4661°S 152.9969°E / -27.4661; 152.9969 (Rosalie (centre of neighbourhood))) and was a separate suburb until 1975.

The memorial was designed and built by Arthur Henry Thurlow between 1921 and 1925. The park was built and designed by Alexander Jolly. It is also known as Alexander Jolly Park. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Ithaca Fire Station is a heritage-listed fire station at 140 Enoggera Terrace, Paddington, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by station superintendent Alfred Joseph Harper and built in 1918-1919; an upper level was designed by Atkinson, Powell and Conrad and built by Frederick Enchelmaier in 1928. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 2 March 1993.

Paddington Tramways Substation is a heritage-listed former electrical substation at 150 Enoggera Terrace, Paddington, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Roy Rusden Ogg and built from 1929 to 1930. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 22 March 1993.

Ithaca Presbyterian Church is a heritage-listed church, located at 100 Enoggera Terrace, in the inner city suburb of Paddington, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The land was purchased in 1919 by the New Building Fund Committee of the Presbyterian Church, who collected £8000 for the church’s construction. The design was commissioned to leading architectural firm Wilson Architects, who were renowned members of Brisbane’s Presbyterian community. Construction commenced in 1927 and the building was formally dedicated and opened on Saturday February 9, 1929.

The Paddington tram depot fire occurred on the night of 28 September 1962, and was one of the largest fires in Brisbane's history. As well as the depot, 67 trams were destroyed, 20% of the city's fleet. The destruction of the depot is generally seen as the beginning of the end for Brisbane's tram system, providing the justification for the subsequent closure of four tram routes and the gradual encroachment of bus operation on other tram routes, with the final closure of the tram system occurring on 13 April 1969.

The Ithaca Town Council Chambers is a heritage-listed former town hall of the former local government area of the Town of Ithaca, and now a community centre in Paddington, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Located at 99 Enoggera Terrace (on the corner with Kennedy Terrace), Red Hill, it was designed by Atkinson and McLay and built in 1910 by Charles Thomas Hall and Francis Joseph Mayer. It is also known as Ithaca Library and Red Hill Kindergarten. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 24 March 2000.In 2013, it was owned by Communify, a not-for-profit community group, who rent out the building for community activities.

Marist Brothers College Rosalie Buildings are heritage-listed Roman Catholic monastery and school buildings at Fernberg Road, Rosalie, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. They are also known as Marist Brothers' Monastery and Marist College. They were added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 18 September 2008.The school closed in November 2008 due to declining student numbers. However, the campus contains to be used by the Marist Brothers and the local Catholic parish.

Sacred Heart College, also known as Marist Brothers Rosalie, was a Catholic boys' college located in Paddington, an inner western suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The college had been a high school for students in grades 8 to 12, but was closed at the end of 2008. Some of the school buildings were heritage-listed on the Queensland Heritage Register in 2008.

The M5 Legacy Way (formerly Northern Link Tunnel) is a 4.6 kilometres (2.9 mi) long tunnel linking the Western Freeway at Toowong and the Inner City Bypass at Kelvin Grove, Brisbane. The project consisted of two bored tunnels carrying two motorway grade lanes of traffic in each direction. It opened on 25 June 2015 and is the fourth of five components of Brisbane City Council's TransApex Project. The tunnels will be tolled for approximately 45 years.The Environmental Impact Statement was released for public comment in September 2008 and approved in April 2010. Construction commenced in April 2011 with original plans to open the tunnel to traffic in late 2014. It carries approximately 20,000 vehicles a day and has reduced travel time between the Centenary Bridge and the Inner City Bypass by 71%.The project was funded through council borrowings, together with a state and federal government contribution.
