Brandwood End is a locality in Birmingham, England, and makes up the central part of the Brandwood electoral ward. It lies within the B14 postcode and is a sub-area of Kings Heath. The area is centred on Brandwood End Cemetery.

The Baverstock Academy (formerly Baverstock Foundation School and Specialist Sports College) was a mixed secondary school and sixth form college, located on the southern edge of the Birmingham outer city ward of Druids Heath. Due to its outstanding sports facilities, it became one of the first to gain Specialist Sports College status in September 2002 before the Specialist Schools initiative was discontinued but then became a member of the Specialist Schools Trust. Baverstock also held Artsmark Gold, Schools Achievement and Sportsmark awards. With many past students representing Great Britain in many sporting competitions. The school was also a TEEP Training School and part of the National Literacy Trust programme. The school was placed in special measures after an "inadequate" inspection result in September 2014. An inspection in February 2016 concluded that special measures should continue although Ofsted in June 2016 stated the school was 'substantially' making improvements to the removal of special measures status. The academy was awarded The Good Schools Guide accreditation in 2016 for better performance by Boys taking Engineering at GCSE level than at any other Comprehensive School in England.The school closed in 2017 and was demolished in November 2020.

Druids Heath is a large housing estate in southern Birmingham, England covering the south-west quadrant of the B14 postcode (west of the Maypole). Primarily known for the large council estate in the Brandwood ward of south Birmingham. The estate is situated on former farmland on the southern edge of Bells Lane with Druids Lane forming the eastern, southern and western border. When first planned, it was known as Bells Lane Phases 1 and 2 and was part of wider postwar plans for the development of the area to accommodate the growing population of the city. Nearby settlements include Kings Heath and Kings Norton; it used to be part of them. Part of Druids Heath was ranked as the most deprived area in Birmingham and in the top 50 most deprived areas in the country in the 2019 Multiple deprivation index.

The Maypole, Birmingham is a location on the A435 road on the southern edge of Birmingham England, between Druids Heath and Highter's Heath and bordering the Bromsgrove district of Worcestershire. It has a population of 2.260 according to the 2011 Census.

Wheelers Lane Technology College (formerly Wheelers Lane Boys' School) is a secondary school for boys located in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham, in the West Midlands of England.It is a non-selective community school administered by Birmingham City Council. The school also has previously been awarded specialist status as a Technology College. Wheelers Lane Technology College offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils.

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls, also known as Camp Hill Girls, is a selective grammar school in Kings Heath, Birmingham, for students aged 11 to 18 (Year 7 to Year 13). It is one of the most academically successful schools in the United Kingdom, currently ranked 10th among state schools. It is one of seven schools in Birmingham that are part of the King Edward VI Foundation. It shares a campus with King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys and, in 1958, both schools moved from their original location in central Birmingham to Vicarage Road in the Birmingham suburb of Kings Heath. The buildings are connected and some facilities and activities are shared, but they are separate establishments. The name has been retained from the school's former site at Camp Hill.

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys, also known as Camp Hill Boys, is a highly selective grammar school in Birmingham, United Kingdom. It is one of the most academically successful schools in the United Kingdom, currently ranked third among state schools. The name is retained from the previous location at Camp Hill in central Birmingham. The school moved to Vicarage Road in the suburb of Kings Heath in 1956, sharing a campus with its sister school (King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls), also formerly located in Camp Hill. It is a school which specialises in Science, Mathematics, and Applied Learning. In 2006, the school was assessed by The Sunday Times as state school of the year. A Year 9 student was 2011 winner of The Guardian Children's Fiction Page and the Gold Award in the British Physics Olympiad was won by a King Edward VI Camp Hill student in September 2011. Camp Hill has also sent a boy to the International Chemistry Olympiad for 4 years in a row (2019, 2018, 2017, 2018 2016). In the 2019 Chemistry Olympiad, Camp Hill received the second most gold certificates, coming second to St Paul's School, London.Ofsted inspections classify Camp Hill as an Outstanding Provider.

Kings Heath (historically, and still occasionally King's Heath) is a suburb of south Birmingham, England, four miles south of the city centre. Historically in Worcestershire, it is the next suburb south from Moseley on the A435, Alcester road.

Billesley Common is a recreational area of public open space in South Birmingham, England. It is situated along the Yardley Wood Road, between the suburbs of Moseley and Yardley Wood. Birmingham's rugby union team, Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club of the National League 1 lease part of the common from Birmingham City Council for their pitches and clubhouse. The ground had a seating capacity of 1,450 in the original stand which was replaced by a 5,000 seat stand and clubhouse. Birmingham Moseley's sister club Moseley Oak (formally Selly Oak RFC) have played at Billesley Common since 2008. In 2016, Birmingham Bulldogs announced that they would play their home games at the common. Billesley Common was first mentioned in 1774 as being 'common wasteland'. During the 1960s Billesley Common was home to the Birmingham Medics RFC.

Hazelwell is an area in south-west Birmingham, England. Originally a distinct neighbourhood, it has since been incorporated into and split between the suburbs of Stirchley and Kings Heath.

Kings Heath Boys is a boys' community school located in Kings Heath, south Birmingham, England. It has a comprehensive admissions policy, and in 2019 had an enrolment of 582 pupils ages 11–16.The current headteacher is Mr Christopher Etheridge. In 2013 it received a rating of "Good" (grade 2) from Ofsted, improving from "Satisfactory" (grade 3) at its previous inspection. In 2017, in a shorter inspection the school had maintained its "good" rating. "The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection."
