Wilfholme Landing

Wilfholme is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It forms part of the civil parish of Beswick, and is situated just east from the A164 road, approximately 5 miles (8 km) north from Beverley and 6 miles (10 km) south from Driffield. Wilfholme Landing is 0.9 miles (1.4 km) to the south-east and provides access to the Driffield Navigation. A nine-year-old dressage horse, Faldo, trained for nine months at Wilfholme, was bought in 2010 by the production company for Steven Spielberg's film War Horse to play one of the film's two horses in the role of Topthorn.In 2010 local farmers expressed concern at the Environment Agency's possible decision to stop maintaining water pumping stations and flood banks at Wilfholme, Tickton and Hempholme, which they felt would increase the risk of flooding to arable and urban areas. In 2009 the Agency had reverted plans to end this maintenance, a decision supported by local Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart.

Aike ( ) is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Lockington, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The hamlet is centred around a single developed street, which lies to the east of the Yorkshire Wolds. Aike is approximately 4 miles (6 km) north of Beverley and approximately 0.4 miles (1 km) from the west bank of the River Hull. It is approached by a 2.5-mile (4 km) lane which is a no-through road that does not continue beyond the village, although a farm track continues as far as a bridge across the Beverley and Barmston Drain. In 1931 the parish had a population of 48.

Beverley/Linley Hill Airfield (ICAO: EGNY) is an unlicensed aerodrome located 4 nautical miles (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) north-east of Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Beverley/Linley Hill had a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P762) that allowed flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Hull Aero Club Limited). The aerodrome was not licensed for night use. The aerodrome ceased to be licensed in 2011.In January 2023 a planning application was approved by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for a new hanger and facilities.

Eske is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles (5 km) north-east of the town of Beverley and 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the village of Tickton. It lies just to the east of the River Hull. The hamlet forms part of the civil parish of Tickton. Eske was the ancestral home of the Jackson family, beginning with Richard (1505?–1555). His great-grandson, Sir Anthony Jackson II was a prominent courtier with both Charles I and Charles II Stuart, and is interred at the Temple Church of the Inner Temple in London.Eske Manor is a mid-17th-century house that was designated a Grade II* listed building in 1987 and is now recorded in the National Heritage List for England, maintained by Historic England.

Arram is a small (population 200) farming village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles (5 km) north of the market town of Beverley and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of Leconfield. It forms part of the civil parish of Leconfield. The main features are a small railway station on the Yorkshire Coast Line, proximity to RAF Leconfield and a red phonebox. The village has a fishing venue on the tidal River Hull. The road from Leconfield is one continuous corner due to being moved in the 1970s to accommodate the lengthening of the runway for Vulcan Bombers. The Beverley Minster Way Walk goes through Arram.

Rotsea is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Hutton Cranswick, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 4.5 miles (7.2 km) south-east of Driffield and 2.5 miles (4 km) south-west of North Frodingham. In 1931 the parish had a population of 29. The parish recreation ground, which is home to all Hutton Cranswick football teams including the successful Hutton Cranswick United football club, is based near to Rotsea and the ground is known as Rotsea Lane.

Tickton is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Tickton is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) east from Beverley, lying to the south of the A1035 road. The village is about 1 mile (1.6 km) long and contains two churches, two pubs, a primary school and a village shop which also serves as a post office. The civil parish consists of the villages of Tickton and Hull Bridge together with the hamlets of Eske and Weel. According to the 2011 UK census, Tickton parish had a population of 1,731, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 1,586.The place-name 'Tickton' is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as Tichetone. The name means 'Tica's homestead or village'.

According to the 2001 UK census, Routh parish had a population of 94.The parish church of All Saints is a Grade II* listed building.

The Defence School of Transport (DST) Leconfield is located at Normandy Barracks, Leconfield near Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire in England. It is a tri-service organisation which forms part of the Defence College of Logistics Policing and Administration. It teaches driver and transport management training to personnel from the British Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Marines. The site was formerly RAF Leconfield which closed in 1977 when the Army School of Mechanical Transport moved in. The school was renamed the Defence School of Transport in 1996, when it took on responsibility for training personnel of all three British armed forces.

Hutton Cranswick railway station serves the village of Hutton Cranswick in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is located on the Yorkshire Coast Line, 16+1⁄4 miles (26 km) north of Hull and is operated by Northern who provide all passenger train services. The station has retained its main buildings, though they are now in residential use. It is unmanned, but a recent addition is an electronic ticket machine on the Southbound platform, where passengers can purchase or collect tickets. There are shelters and timetable posters on each platform and step-free access is available to both (the southbound one via the automatic level crossing at the Hull end).
