Bloomfield Academy Center for Science and Technology, formerly known only as Bloomfield Academy, is a private school centered in the Philippines in Las Piñas. The school was founded in 1985 and started education services in the early 1986. The school currently has STEM curriculum introduced. The school is currently owned by Mr. and Mrs. Llarena of Dane Publishing Inc..

Las Piñas City National Science High School (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pang-Agham ng Lungsod ng Las Piñas) is a science high school located in Carnival Park St., BF Resort Village, Brgy. Talon Dos, Las Piñas, Philippines. It is a specialized public high school concentrating in English, Mathematics, and Science. At present, it has approximately 800 students from Grade 7 to Grade 12. It is under the administration of the local government of Las Piñas and is recognized by the Department of Education.

Alabang–Zapote Road is a four-lane national road which travels east–west through the southern limits of Metro Manila, Philippines. It runs parallel to Dr. Santos Avenue in the north and is named for the two barangays that it links: Alabang in Muntinlupa and Zapote in Las Piñas. From its eastern terminus at an interchange with South Luzon Expressway's Alabang Exit, East Service Road, Manila South Road, and Montillano Street, the road runs westwards for approximately 10.9 kilometers (6.8 mi) to the junction with Diego Cera Avenue. Since 1997, it also extends further west for several hundred meters connecting Las Piñas to its present terminus at Coastal Road (R-1) in Bacoor, Cavite.The road carries more than 70,000 vehicles per day as of 2016, and suffers from traffic jams. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) listed Alabang–Zapote Road as a major traffic bottleneck point or choke point, and the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or "number coding" scheme, is modified for the road to no longer include window hours. The entire route is designated as National Route 411 (N411) of the Philippine highway network.

Centro Escolar Las Piñas (CELP; formerly known as Las Piñas College), is a school located in Pilar Village, Almanza Uno, Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. The school was founded in 1973, when Dr. Faustino Legaspi Uy opened a School of Nursing under the Graduate of Nursing (GN) Program at the Las Piñas General Hospital – that eventually became Dr. Faustino L. Uy Medical Foundation – as the clinical division. Initially created to provide a nursing program, over the years the school has expanded to provide kindergarten, primary and secondary schooling, along with several bachelors programs and a masters program. It was acquired by Centro Escolar University in 2015 and now serves as a satellite campus of the university.

Robinsons Las Piñas (formerly Robinsons Place Las Piñas) is a shopping mall and mixed-use development in Las Piñas, Philippines. It is located on the north side of Alabang–Zapote Road between CAA Road and Admiral Road in Talon Tres. The mall is owned and managed by Robinsons Land Corporation, the second largest mall operator in the Philippines. The mall opened on October 25, 2014. It is the 39th mall opened by Robinsons in the Philippines and the first and only Robinsons mall in Las Piñas and the whole South Manila area.

On October 3, 2022, Percy Lapid, a radio journalist and radio broadcaster, was shot dead while on his way home in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines.

On June 27, 2023, the Philippine National Police conducted a raid on a gambling complex in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines to serve warrants related to anti-human trafficking laws. The Department of Justice has alleged that the police had not coordinated with it prior to the raid.

BF International Village is a barangay in the first district of Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. BF International Village currently has a population of 77,264 people spread over 2.17 km2 (0.84 sq mi) of land. The barangay has a total 60,000 households, 20,000 families, 50,000 registered voters and 251 precincts. The barangay is bordered by Gatchalian Village-Barangay Manuyo II to the north; San Antonio V7-Barangay Pulanglupa II to the east; Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque on the west; and J. Aguilar Ave., Barangay Pamplona III to the south.

The Molino Dam or Prinza Water Dam is a gravity dam on the Zapote River located on the border between Barangay San Nicolas I, Bacoor, Cavite and Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was built by hand in the 19th century to irrigate the surrounding rice field in Las Piñas and Bacoor.

The University of Perpetual Help System Dalta - Molino Campus (UPHSD Molino) or simply Perpetual, was founded on 1995 in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. It is a private, non-sectarian educational institution run by the Dalta Group of Companies, and is part of the University of Perpetual Help System. The Molino campus was established and inaugurated in May 1995. The number of students has increased from the initial figure of 700 to 4,500.

The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) is a Catholic-oriented, co-educational, private university, with campuses at Las Piñas, Bacoor, Cavite and Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines. The university offers programs in preschool, primary, secondary, tertiary levels, as well as short term vocational, technical, and special programs.
