All local bus lines bound to Oddernes goes through Strømsdalen. There is a bank and a pizza restaurant at Strømsdalen, other than that Rona is the closest to a centrum.

It is located in the district of Søm in the borough of Oddernes in the city of Kristiansand. It is one of the churches for the Randesund parish which is part of the Kristiansand domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The red brick church was built in a fan-shaped design in 2004 using plans drawn up by the architects Arild Lauvland and Arne Åmland. The church seats about 450 people, but it can be expanded to seat up to about 650 people.

Bus line M2 goes through Vigvoll continuing to Hånes, Voiebyen, or Sørlandsparken. It includes a small shopping area known locally as Hånni.

Hånes Church (Norwegian: Hånes kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Kristiansand Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the district of Hånes in the borough of Oddernes in the eastern part of the city of Kristiansand. It is the church for the Hånes parish which is part of the Kristiansand domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1986 using plans drawn up by the architect Arild Lauvland. The church seats about 200 people. The church was founded in 1986. In 2004, the church was expanded to include several more office spaces. In 2010, the sanctuary was renovated.

Rona is a neighborhood in the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. It is a part of the Oddernes borough and the district of Søm. The neighbourhood is next to European route E18, and spans the Indre Rona strait between Drangsvatna lake and the Topdalsfjorden. The neighborhood of Strømsdalen lies to the north and Strømme lies to the south. The closest school is Strømme Elementary school. All local bus lines goes through Rona. Rona mall opened up in 2014 with some stores, a fitness center, and some apartments.

Grovikheia is a neighbourhood in the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. It is a part of the borough of Oddernes and in the district of Hånes. It is located along the Norwegian National Road 41 and it is north of the Hånni neighborhood and northwest of Lauvåsen. The name Grovikheia comes from the cove Grovika. There is a Bible school located at Grovikheia and the closest school is Heståsen skole which is an elementary school. Bus line M2 goes through Vigvoll continuing to Hånes, Voiebyen, and Sørlandsparken.
