The Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) is a public children's hospital on Stanley Street in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. QCH is the primary facility of Children's Health Queensland, the state-wide Hospital and Health Service that provides specialist paediatric services, and the only hospital completely dedicated to paediatrics in Queensland. QCH has an emergency department, intensive and critical care unit, as well as specialist general medical and surgical services. Children's Health Queensland also provides clinicians and support staff to other hospitals, gives facilities access to paediatric specialists via telehealth, and local programs such as Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS).The Queensland Children's Hospital is categorised as a level six service under the Clinical Services Capability Framework 2014. This means it is responsible for providing general paediatric health services to children and young people in the greater Brisbane metropolitan area, as well as tertiary-level care.The hospital employs more than 2,500 staff from a range of disciplines. In the first year of operations, QCH admitted almost 38,000 patients, saw 63,634 emergency presentations, performed 14,113 operations and provided 188,765 specialist outpatient appointments.

Cliffside Apartments is a heritage-listed apartment block at 76 Lower River Terrace, Kangaroo Point, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1936 to 1937. It is also known as Cliffiside Flats. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 27 February 2004.

Maritime Museum ferry wharf is located on the southern side of the Brisbane River serving the Brisbane suburb of South Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. It is served by RiverCity Ferries' CityHopper service. It was originally named River Plaza. The wharf sustained major damage during the January 2011 Brisbane floods. A new wharf was built opening on 31 July 2011, with the Maritime Museum name adopted after the adjacent Queensland Maritime Museum.

Lamb House is a heritage-listed villa at 9 Leopard Street, Kangaroo Point, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Alexander Brown Wilson and built from c. 1902 to c. 1908. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. As of May 2021 the house had been unoccupied for years, was in a state of disrepair, and for sale over unpaid council rates. It was sold on 4 June 2021.

South Brisbane, also known as Brisbane South, is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. The electorate encompasses suburbs in Brisbane's inner-south, stretching from East Brisbane to West End, and south to Annerley. Parts of Greenslopes and Coorparoo are also located in the electorate.South Brisbane is Queensland's oldest electorate, being the only one of the original 16 districts to have been contested at every election. It has generally been considered a safe seat for the Labor Party since 1915, but has in recent election cycles shifted in favour of the Greens. It has only been lost by the Labor party on four occasions: the Country and Progressive National Party's 1929 landslide victory; after the 1957 Labor split, when Premier of Queensland and sitting member Vince Gair quit the party to form the Queensland Labor Party; in 1974, at the height of the Bjelke-Petersen government's popularity; and in 2020 when Jackie Trad lost to the Greens. Anna Bligh, former Premier of Queensland, held the seat from 1995 until her resignation in 2012 after Labor's defeat at the 2012 state election on 24 March. Labor MP Jackie Trad was the member between 2012 and 2020, when Greens candidate Amy MacMahon defeated her at the second attempt.
