Děčín Zoo

The Pastýřská stěna, also Ovčí stěna (German: Schäferwand, English: Shepherd's Wall), is a sandstone rock massif on the shores of the River Elbe in the borough of Děčín (Tetschen) in the Czech Republic.

Děčín (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɟɛtʃiːn]; German: Tetschen, 1942–1945: Tetschen–Bodenbach) is a city in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 47,000 inhabitants. It is the 7th largest municipality in the country by area. Děčín is an important traffic junction.

Děčín main station (Cz: Děčín hlavní nádraží) is a railway station in the city of Děčín, in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. The station opened in 1850 and is located on the Děčín–Benešov nad Ploučnicí–Rumburk railway, Praha–Ústí nad Labem–Děčín railway, Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway and Děčín–Oldřichov u Duchcova railway. The train services are operated by Czech Railways (České dráhy ČD).

The Empress Elisabeth Bridge (German: Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Brücke) was a chain bridge that spanned the Elbe between Tetschen (now Děčín) on the east bank with Bodenbach in northern Bohemia. It was opened in 1855, named after Empress Elisabeth of Austria, and connected Tetschen to the major railroad from Dresden to Prague. The bridge was demolished in the early 1930s, but its piers were used for the modern bridge replacing it.

The Stoličná hora (also Kvádrovec, Kvádrberk, German: Quaderberg) is a table hill near Děčín (Tetschen) in the Bohemian Switzerland in the Czech Republic.

Ludvíkovice (German: Loosdorf) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 900 inhabitants. Ludvíkovice lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Děčín, 23 km (14 mi) north-east of Ústí nad Labem, and 81 km (50 mi) north of Prague.

Dobkovice (German: Topkowitz) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 700 inhabitants. It lies on the Elbe river. Dobkovice lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south of Děčín, 12 km (7 mi) north-east of Ústí nad Labem, and 71 km (44 mi) north of Prague.

The Dolní Žleb Ferry is a cable ferry across the Elbe river at Dolní Žleb in the Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic.Technically, the ferry is a reaction ferry, which is propelled by the current of the water. The ferry is attached to a floating cable which is anchored firmly in the riverbed upstream of the ferry. To operate the ferry, it is angled into the current, causing the force of the current to swing the ferry across the river on the cable.

The Belvedér (German and English: Belvedere) is the oldest viewing point in Bohemian Switzerland in the Czech Republic. It is located near Labská Stráň high above the Elbe valley.

Bohemian Switzerland (Czech: České Švýcarsko; German: Böhmische Schweiz), also known as Czech Switzerland, is a picturesque region in the north-western Czech Republic. It has been a protected area (as Elbe Sandstone Mountains Protected Landscape Area) since 1972. The region along the right side of the Elbe became a national park on 1 January 2000, the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The National Park is adjacent to the Saxon Switzerland National Park in Germany.
