Belvedér

The Dolní Žleb Ferry is a cable ferry across the Elbe river at Dolní Žleb in the Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic.Technically, the ferry is a reaction ferry, which is propelled by the current of the water. The ferry is attached to a floating cable which is anchored firmly in the riverbed upstream of the ferry. To operate the ferry, it is angled into the current, causing the force of the current to swing the ferry across the river on the cable.

Labská Stráň (German: Elbleiten) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants. Labská Stráň lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Děčín, 26 km (16 mi) north-east of Ústí nad Labem, and 86 km (53 mi) north of Prague.

Schöna (German: Bahnhof Schöna) is a station located on the grounds of Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna municipality, Saxony, Germany. It is the closest German station to the national border between Germany and the Czech Republic on the Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway. It is not a border station, though. Those used to be Bad Schandau and Děčín hlavní nádraží. There are a couple of sidings south of the station where the S1 can prepare to return towards Dresden. There is hardly any access from the station to village of Schöna, which is outside the Elbe valley in southern direction. The station is more important to reach the village of Hřensko in the Czech Republic, which is just across the river and can be reached by ferry.

The Kamenice (German: Kamnitz) is a 35.6-kilometre-long river in the Děčín District, in northwestern Czech Republic. It originates in the Lusatian Mountains and then flows through the national park of Bohemian Switzerland, emptying into the Elbe River (Czech: Labe) in Hřensko.

The Zirkelstein is the smallest table hill of Saxon Switzerland, in Germany. It is a wooded, cone-shaped hill with a striking 40-metre-high (130 ft) summit block of sandstone rock.

Hřensko (German: Herrnskretschen) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.

Bohemian Switzerland (Czech: České Švýcarsko; German: Böhmische Schweiz), also known as Czech Switzerland, is a picturesque region in the north-western Czech Republic. It has been a protected area (as Elbe Sandstone Mountains Protected Landscape Area) since 1972. The region along the right side of the Elbe became a national park on 1 January 2000, the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The National Park is adjacent to the Saxon Switzerland National Park in Germany.

The Kaiserkrone is a heavily abraded and jagged remains of a table hill that, together with the Zirkelstein, rises above the level plain of Schöna, immediately on the outskirts of the village in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in the German state of Saxony. The name "Kaiserkrone" means "imperial crown" and is derived from its appearance. The three points of the crown, each of which may be climbed, are part of the large sandstone step known as "c3", from the Upper Turonian stage, and were left behind as the wide rock crevices between them were formed. Mankind has also been involved in the formation and/or destruction of the plateau which is 350.8 m above NN. At the southern end of the rocks, two lions have been carved by unknown artists. At the beginning of the 19th century the Kaiserkrone was also known by other names like the Kahlstein, Zahnstein or Kronenberg. Even older designations are Galitzstein (end of the 16th century), Golzenstein (end of the 18th century) and Gollstein (early 19th century). At the southern foot of the Kaiserkrone there are several sandstone rocks of unusual shape that were rediscovered in the sketch book of Caspar David Friedrich, which he drew during a visit to the Kaiserkrone and later used as the undercoat for his painting Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer.

Schmilka-Hirschmühle station (German: Bahnhof Schmilka-Hirschmühle) is a railway station on the Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway for the village of Schmilka, Saxony, Germany. The station is located across the Elbe river and can be reached from Schmilka by ferry. They station lies in the Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna municipality. The station is served by the Dresden S-Bahn S1 service from Meißen, Dresden, Heidenau, Pirna to Schöna. There is also a Regionalbahn (National Park Railway) service every 2 hours from Děčín to Rumburk via Bad Schandau and Sebnitz.

Arnoltice (German: Arnsdorf) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants. Arnoltice lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north-east of Děčín, 26 km (16 mi) north-east of Ústí nad Labem, and 84 km (52 mi) north of Prague.

Janov (German: Jonsdorf) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants. Janov lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-east of Děčín, 28 km (17 mi) north-east of Ústí nad Labem, and 87 km (54 mi) north of Prague.

The Großer Zschirnstein (561.74 m (1,843.0 ft)) is the highest hill in the Saxon and German part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
