Neatham is a Roman hamlet, an ancient hundred and a former civil parish, now in the parish of Alton, in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Alton, which lies 1.6 miles (2.6 km) south-west from the hamlet. In 1931 the parish had a population of 134.

It has a total of 24 households, 3 of which are in the Wyck Place Estate. It is a small hamlet with an agricultural heritage and it is walking distance from its closest neighbours, East Worldham and Binsted. It is in the civil parish of Binsted.

Froyle is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 3.6 miles (5.8 km) northeast of Alton. The nearest railway station is 2 miles (3.3 km) east of the village, at Bentley. According to the 2011 census, the parish had a population of 644 people. The village is divided into Upper Froyle, centred around the Church and Manor House, and Lower Froyle which grew up around the farms.

The Municipal Ground (also known as Anstey Park) was a cricket ground in Alton, Hampshire. The ground was constructed as a result of the efforts of G.J. Poole, the headmaster of a local Grammar School. Constructed by 1899, the Hampshire Second XI played there in the grounds first recorded match in that year, while Hampshire later played one first-class match at the ground, against the touring South Africans in 1904. The match ended in a South African victory by an innings and 19 runs, during which South African batsman Louis Tancred was dismissed for 99 by Hesketh Hesketh-Prichard, while in Hampshire's first-innings Johannes Kotze took a five wicket haul with figures of 5 for 66. Whilst the ground still exists, it is instead used as a venue for rugby union matches.

East Worldham is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Worldham, in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 1.9 miles (3.1 km) east of Alton; and 1.9 miles (3.1 km) south-west of Wyck. Hartley Mauditt and West Worldham are nearby, which, along with East Worldham, form the parish of Worldham. The village is just east of the A31 road and contains St Mary's Church and the Three Horse Shoes pub, amongst other buildings. Worldham Golf Course located just to west and Dean Farm Golf Course just to the east. For centuries the village and surrounding parish were owned by Winchester College. In 1931 the parish had a population of 208.

The Alton line is a railway line in Hampshire and Surrey, England, operated by South Western Railway as a relatively long branch of the South West Main Line. The branch leaves the main line at Pirbright Junction to the west of Brookwood station, Surrey, then turns to the southwest. The route crosses and recrosses the Surrey / Hampshire border, and serves the towns of Aldershot and Farnham before reaching its present-day terminus at Alton in East Hampshire. The line originally continued west to Winchester; the section between Alton and New Alresford is preserved as the heritage Watercress line. The Alton line was electrified (750 V DC third rail) during the late interwar years by Southern Railway. Aside from regular electric trains, freight trains operated by DB Cargo UK and steam trains connected to the Mid Hants Watercress Railway (by way of rolling stock supply or special excursion) operate on the line.

Alton Football Club is a football club based in Alton, Hampshire, England. Formed by a merger of Alton Town and Bass (Alton) in 1991, they are currently members of the Combined Counties League Premier Division South and play at Anstey Park.

The Watercress Line is a heritage railway in Hampshire, England, running 10 miles (16 km) from New Alresford to Alton where it connects to the National Rail network. The line has four stations and operates scheduled and special services. The line was opened as the Mid-Hants Railway in 1865 and was purchased by the London & South Western Railway in 1884. The line was closed by British Rail in 1973 and sold to the present operator Mid-Hants Railway Ltd in 1975. The first section of the line between Alresford and Ropley was reopened in 1977, with the section to Medstead & Four Marks in 1983 and via Butts Junction to Alton in 1985. This article records a number of accidents and incidents on the line when operating as a heritage railway.
