Burlington is an unincorporated historic community Linn County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. It was located about a mile downriver from Peoria.

Kiger Island is a 2,200-acre (8.9 km2) island in Oregon formed by a fork between the Willamette River and the Booneville Channel. The island is located at 44°30′45″N 123°14′03″W. Kiger Island is south of Corvallis in southeastern Benton County, with the Linn County line following the contour of the eastern (river) side of the island. The only road to the island, SE Kiger Island Drive, is located off of Highway 99W (SW 3rd Street), just 2.5 miles south of downtown Corvallis.

Greenberry is an unincorporated community in Benton County, Oregon, United States. It is located on Oregon Route 99W about 8 miles south of Corvallis.Greenberry was a station on the Westside line of the Southern Pacific Railroad (now owned by Portland and Western) named for Green Berry Smith, a pioneer of 1845 who came with the Meek party and settled in Benton County in 1846. He lived for a time on a farm in the area that bears his name. Smith was usually called Greenberry despite his two given names. Nearby Smith Hill is also named for him.

The Long Tom River is a 57-mile (92 km) tributary of the Willamette River in western Oregon in the United States. It drains an area at the south end of the Willamette Valley between Eugene and Corvallis.It rises in the Central Oregon Coast Range in western Lane County, approximately 10 mi (16 km) west of Veneta. It flows east through the mountains to Veneta, through the Fern Ridge Reservoir, and then north into the Willamette Valley, roughly parallel to and west of the Willamette River. It joins the Willamette from the southwest approximately 4 mi (6.5 km) west of Halsey. The Fern Ridge Reservoir was created in 1942 when the United States Army Corps of Engineers dammed the river to control flooding.The watershed includes approximately 410 sq mi (1,100 km2) of land (262,000 acres, 1060 km2) zoned as 45 percent forest, 30 percent agricultural, 8 public, and 17 percent urban or rural residential. The Long Tom waters support more than 140,000 people in the area, including residents in the city of Veneta and the rural farming communities of Alvadore, Cheshire, Crow, Franklin, and Noti, as well as industrial and commercial land on the western edge of Eugene. These lands were inhabited by the Chelamela group of the Kalapuya Indians prior to European settlement. The Oregon Country Fair is one of many groups and agencies that work with the Long Tom Watershed Council to protect and restore the river.

Muddy Creek is a tributary of the Willamette River that flows through parts of Lane and Linn counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. It begins near Coburg Ridge, northeast of Eugene, and meanders north across the floor of the Willamette Valley roughly parallel to the river. It joins the East Channel of the Willamette upstream of Corvallis.Muddy Creek was so named by pioneer settlers on account of its muddy waters. Its entry in Oregon Geographic Names says, "It is a sluggish stream, and it is no surprise that the pioneers named it as they did." The name appeared in print as early as 1857.The creek's main tributaries are Dry Muddy Creek and Little Muddy Creek. A different Muddy Creek with the same characteristics but on the other (western) side of the Willamette flows into Marys River, which enters the Willamette at Corvallis.

Shedd is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Linn County, Oregon, United States, on Oregon Route 99E. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 204.

The United Presbyterian Church of Shedd (also known as Valley Rose Chapel) is a historic Presbyterian church at 30045 OR 99 East in Shedd, Oregon. It was built in 1892 in a Gothic Revival style and was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1998.Its NRHP nomination argued it to be "a graceful, wood-frame Gothic Revival church, bestowed with a substantive role in local history", being located just a few miles from the Linn County location of the first United Presbyterian Church "in the entire world" to be formed. And this Shedd church drew from those congregations.

Corvallis Municipal Airport (IATA: CVO, ICAO: KCVO, FAA LID: CVO) is five miles southwest of Corvallis, in Benton County, Oregon. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a general aviation facility.The airport offers full service and self serve fuel: 100LL and Jet A. Maintenance is available on the ramp; helicopter and fixed-wing flight instruction is available through Corvallis Aero Service.

Marine Corps Air Facility Corvallis is a former United States Marine Corps facility located four nautical miles (5 mi, 7 km) southwest of the central business district of Corvallis, a city in Benton County, Oregon, United States.

The Lame–Smith House and the Sydney and Gertrude Smith Barn (also known as James Alexander Smith and Elmarion Smith Barn), about one mile northwest of Halsey, Oregon, are historic structures that were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.The barn is a 40 feet (12 m) by 60 feet (18 m) timber-frame building built in 1888. It was built to house horses being raised for fire and police departments of the Pacific Northwest. Its ornamented cupolas were assessed to be the finest in Linn County.The farmhouse has Gothic Revival features and was built in c.1864 by Joseph Lame and was enlarged in c.1884 for the J.A. Smith family. This property is mainly constructed of timber. Also on the property are an automobile garage (1994), a wood-frame pump house (1940s), and metal equipment shed (1960s). To the west of the house, in 1998, was a very large Black walnut tree, likely the largest in Linn County.In 1998 the nearby fields were being used to grow grass seed.

The Willamette Floodplain consists of 713 acres (289 ha) of natural grassland, near the Willamette River, that was made a National Natural Landmark in May 1987. The floodplain is within the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge and located about 10 miles (16 km) south of Corvallis in Benton County, Oregon. It is the largest remaining native unplowed example of bottomland interior valley grassland in the North Pacific Border natural region. It was classified as a natural landmark because such grassland and shrubland areas are exceedingly rare, with most having been cultivated or turned into pastureland.

Crystal Lake Cemetery, located in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in June 2004. It is a burial ground that provides Corvallis residents with funeral and burial services. Although the tombs found at Crystal Lake Cemetery are not the oldest ones in Benton County, it is said that Crystal Lake Cemetery is one of the oldest cemetery in continuous use. Memorial Day services have been offered by it for about 60 years. The Corvallis American Legion Post 11 and the Corvallis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 640 now sponsored the activity near the Civil War monument.
