Kungsholmen is an island in Lake Mälaren in Sweden, part of central Stockholm, Sweden. It is situated north of Riddarfjärden and considered part of the historical province Uppland. Its area is 3.9 km2 (1.5 sq mi) with a perimeter of 8.9 km (5.5 mi). The highest point is at Stadshagsplan at 47 metres (154 ft). The total population is 71,542 (December 31, 2020).Administratively, it is subdivided into the five districts Kungsholmen, Marieberg, Fredhäll, Kristineberg and Stadshagen.

Kungsholmen (King's Islet) is a borough (stadsdelsområde) in central Stockholm, Sweden. It is named after the dominating district and island in the borough. Except Kungsholmen (proper) there are six districts in the borough: Fredhäll, Kristineberg, Lilla Essingen, Marieberg, Stadshagen and Stora Essingen. It is also equivalent to the parishes of Kungsholm, Sankt Göran and Essinge. The population as of 2004 is 54,283, of which 28,614 are female and 25,669 are male, on an area of 4.85 km², which gives a density of 10,977.73 per km².

Fridhemsplan metro station is a station of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Kungsholmen. The station is entirely underground and provides an interchange between the Blue and Green lines. There are two platforms for each line, about a hundred metres apart. To the south-west of the station a tunnel between the blue and green lines provides the only connection for trains to be moved onto and off the blue line. The green line platforms were opened on 26 October 1952 as a part of the stretch between Hötorget and Vällingby. and are around 18 metres (59 ft) under the ground. The distance to Slussen is 4.9 km (3.0 mi). The second part was opened on 31 August 1975 as part the first stretch of the Blue Line between T-Centralen and Hjulsta. The trains were running via Hallonbergen and Rinkeby. The blue line platform is around 28–31 meters under the ground. The distance to Kungsträdgården is 2.1 km (1.3 mi).

Polar Studios was a recording studio in Stockholm, Sweden, which operated from 1978 through 2004. The studio was formed by ABBA musicians Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and the band's manager Stig Anderson, owner of the Polar Music recording label. The studio was used to record each of the last three ABBA albums, Voulez-Vous, Super Trouper and The Visitors, as well as their two final non-LP singles "The Day Before You Came" and "Under Attack". Following the demise of ABBA, all members of the group continued using the studio to record their solo projects.In addition to ABBA, a range of other well-known artists recorded at Polar. Among the albums to have been recorded at the studio are Led Zeppelin's In Through the Out Door and Genesis' Duke.

Sankt Eriksbron (English: "The St Eric Bridge") is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden. Passing over Barnhusviken it connects Kungsholmen to Norrmalm. The present construction was inaugurated in 1937. Neighbouring bridges are: Kungsbron, Barnhusbron, Stadshusbron, Klarabergsviadukten, and Ekelundsbron.

Fridhemsplan is a square at the intersection of Fridhemsgatan and Drottningholmsvägen in the districts of Kungsholmen and Marieberg in Stockholm, Sweden.

Kungsholmens gymnasium is an upper secondary school (Swedish: gymnasium) located on the island of Kungsholmen in Stockholm, Sweden. The school is divided into a Swedish Section, an English-speaking International Section, and a Music Section which uses the name Stockholms Musikgymnasium. Kungsholmens Gymnasium is a popular school in Stockholm with high application rates and some of the highest minimum admission requirements within the Stockholm County.

Filadelfiakyrkan ('the Philadelphia Church') is a Pentecostal church building at Rörstrandsgatan 7 in Stockholm, Sweden; it was dedicated on 2 November 1930. The building is owned by the Filadelfia Stockholm congregation, the largest congregation in the Swedish Pentecostal movement with about 5,400 members as of 2015. It is also the largest Pentecostal congregation in Europe.The Stockholm City Museum has listed the building as having a particularly high historical and cultural value.The church building is next to Rörstrand Castle, where Kaggeholm Folk High School has been located since 2019. In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the church building was completely remodeled for over 100 million SEK.

Draken (English: The Dragon) was a cinema and music venue located in Stockholm, Sweden. It opened in 1938 as one of Stockholm's biggest cinemas, featuring a capacity of 1,125 people. The architect was Ernst Grönwall with assistance of Olle Zetterberg. The neon sign outside was drawn by the artist Ragnar Person and made by Ruben Morne. It became one of the best known neon signs in Sweden. During the 1980s it was a very popular concert venue with many notable performances by artists such as Def Leppard, Dio, Ozzy Osbourne and Camel. The venue was closed in 1996 and in 2010 turned into a self storage facility.

Cheiron Studios (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɕɛ̌ɪrɔn]) was a recording studio located in the Kungsholmen district of Stockholm, Sweden. Founded in 1992 by Denniz PoP and Tom Talomaa, it was famous for being the place where popular music acts of the late 1990s/early 2000s such as Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, Robyn, NSYNC, Britney Spears, and Westlife, produced many of their greatest hits. In addition, Cheiron Studios was also a record label (Cheiron Records) in affiliation with BMG for a while, and a music publishing service (Cheiron Songs), although those ventures were abandoned in favor of music production. After Denniz PoP's death in 1998, Cheiron closed in 2000. Talomaa and Max Martin reformed the company as Maratone, while Kristian Lundin and Jake Schulze formed The Location and David Kreuger and Per Magnusson started A Side Productions. The studio is currently owned by Roxy Recordings which also includes the Hanssonic Studios of Anders Hansson.

Sankt Eriksplan metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is entirely underground, and is located in the district of Vasastaden, which is in the borough of Norrmalm in central Stockholm. The station has a single island platform, some 8 metres (26 ft) below street level, and is accessed via a pair of ticket halls. One ticket hall is under Sankt Eriksplan itself, and the other under the intersection of Torsgatan and Sankt Eriksgatan. Both ticket halls are linked to the surface by entrance pavilions containing stairs and lifts. The distance to Slussen is 4.1 km (2.5 mi).The station was inaugurated on 26 October 1952 as a part of the section of line between Hötorget and Vällingby.

Kronobergshäktet (Kronoberg remand prison) is the largest remand prison in Sweden, with a capacity of 321 inmates. It's located the block Kronoberg on Kungsholmen in Stockholm.
