Tveit Church (Vestland)

Tveitevåg is a village in Askøy municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located along the Hauglandsosen bay on the western coast of the island of Askøy. The village surrounds the lake Storavatnet, just east of the Kollevågen nature reserve. Tveit Church is located in the village. Historically, the area was home to a large mill, but it is now closed.

Since the opening of the Askøy Bridge connecting it to the mainland of Bergen in 1992, the population has increased rapidly. Its population growth among the highest in Norway. Most of the population growth is due to migration from Bergen and the surrounding districts of Nordhordland and Midhordland.

The island is named after the old Ask farm along the eastern coast of the island. The village is the site of the old Ask Church.

Askevatnet is a lake in the municipality of Askøy in Vestland county, Norway. The 2.15-square-kilometre (0.83 sq mi) lake lies just northeast of the village of Ask on the eastern side of the island of Askøy. The lake is regulated by a small dam on the southeastern part of the lake.

Strusshamn Church (Norwegian: Strusshamn kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Askøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Strusshamn. It is the church for the Strusshamn parish which is part of the Vesthordland prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The large concrete and glass church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1969 using plans drawn up by the architects Torgeir Alvsaker and Einar Vaardal-Lunde. The church seats about 500 people.

Strusshamn is an urban village in the municipality of Askøy in Vestland county, Norway. Strusshamn is one of the cultural centers of the municipality, and it is the site of the main church for the municipality, Strusshamn Church.Strusshamn is well known for its long maritime traditions and history. There are wooden buildings here dating back to around 1800. The village was used in the 18th and 19th centuries as the quarantine harbour for the city of Bergen, located a few kilometres to the east. Today, the production facilities for Viksund Boats is located in the village. Strusshamn is connected to the city of Bergen by the Askøy Bridge.

The 231-metre (758 ft) tall mountain lies near the southeastern coast of the island of Askøy, just north of Kleppestø. The mountain is traditionally considered to be one of De syv fjell (the seven mountains) surrounding the city of Bergen.
