Kyungsung University–Pukyong National University station

Kyungsung University is a private university in Busan, South Korea. It is located in the district of Nam-gu, southwest of the famous Haeundae beach. The campus is located near Kyungsung University-Pukyong National University Station on Line 2. The university was established by the late Reverend Dr. Kim Gil-Chang, a pioneer of Christianity in Korea. The university was originally called Kyungnam Teacher's College and established in 1955 under the ideals of Christian love and service, In 1979 the school was re-organized and renamed Pusan Industrial University. At the time of the founding of Pusan Industrial University, the General Construction Committee began work on expanding and improving the quality of the university's facilities. As a result, the university received official sanctioning as a general university in September, 1983. The name of the university was changed to Kyungsung University in 1988 during the process of becoming an international university which can fulfill the needs of today's society. The university has 10 undergraduate colleges (Liberal Arts, Law and Politics, Commerce and Economics, Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Arts, Theology, Multimedia, and Chinese) encompassing 7 different faculties and 54 departments at the time of 2011. There are seven graduate schools (General, International Management, Multimedia, Education, Social Welfare, Clinical Pharmacy, and Digital Design). In addition, seven affiliated organizations and seven affiliated research institutes have been established to aid teaching and research. Kyungsung University's 700 employees and over 13,000 students are all working together to achieve the school's educational goals. Since 2002, the university has held a regional conference between South Korea and China regarding sustainable development of the Northeast Asia region. The Kyungsung University Museum has been involved in the excavation of important regional archaeological sites. In the 1990s, the university museum was responsible for excavating the Daeseong-dong site, a protohistoric cemetery Gimhae with high-status burials from the Proto–Three Kingdoms Period.

Pukyong National University (PKNU; Korean: 국립부경대학교) is a national university in Busan, South Korea, formed in 1996. The university has two campuses, Daeyeon-dong and Yongdang-dong, situated near the coastal district of Nam-gu. PKNU has a traditional focus on fisheries sciences and other maritime fields, and has extensive facilities for Marine and Technology studies. The school's symbol mascot is anthropomorphic Moby Dick, "Baek Kyung-i". The school name was changed through a vote in August 2021.

Daeyeon High School is a high school in Nam-gu, Busan Metropolitan City, South Korea. It was established in 1988. The current principal is Kim Young Do (김영도). The school was established by edict of Yang Yong-chi on April 29, 1986, and opened its doors on March 5, 1988.

The United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK; Korean: 재한유엔기념공원; RR: Jaehahn yuen ginyeomgongwon), located at Tanggok in the Nam District, City of Busan, Republic of Korea, is a burial ground for United Nations Command (UNC) casualties of the Korean War. It contains 2,300 graves and is the only United Nations cemetery in the world. Laid out over 14 hectares (35 acres), the graves are set out in 22 sites designated by the nationalities of the buried servicemembers.

The National Memorial Museum of Forced Mobilization under Japanese Occupation (FoMo; Korean: 국립일제강제동원역사관; Hanja: 國立日帝强制動員歷史館) is a national history museum in Busan, South Korea. It first opened on December 10, 2015.It covers the Japanese colonial period (1910–1945), in particular when Koreans were forced to perform labor and moved to other places to support Japan. The museum was founded by the South Korean Ministry of the Interior and Safety, although jurisdiction was transferred to the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs in 2016.As of 2023, admission into the museum is free of charge. Its director is Park Cheolgyu.

Busan Dongcheon High School (Korean: 부산동천고등학교) is a private school for those graduating from middle school. The school was established in 1980, and is located in Nam-gu, Busan. It is one of the eighty-four high schools in Busan. The school is the only high-school run by The Cheondoism Foundation, a Korean traditional religion. The school gives education based on "human is god" motto, and the religion of the school is Cheondoism. Graduates have made significant contributions in many fields.

Busan Arts College (Korean: 부산예술대학교) provides training in a range of fine and applied arts. The campus is located in the Nam-gu district of Busan metropolitan city, in southeastern South Korea. Under government regulations, the school has a maximum enrollment of 790, of whom 700 may be enrolled in the day program and 90 in weekend classes.As of the reorganization of 2003, the college includes fifteen academic departments: applied music, music, theatre, practical dance, film and video, beauty art, modelling, sports and leisure studies, interior design, advertisement design, cartoon and animation, fine art, event producing, performing arts management, and creative writing.

Palate (Korean: 팔레트) is a fine dining restaurant in Busan, South Korea. It first opened in December 2019. In February 2024, the first year the Michelin Guide was issued for Busan, the restaurant received its first Michelin Star. The head chef is Kim Jae-hoon, a Busan native. Kim started to work in restaurants at age 25. He moved to study and work in Australia in 2011. He would spend seven years there, and returned to South Korea afterwards. Before opening Palate, he worked as a sous chef at Zero Complex, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Seoul. The restaurant reportedly opened a month before the COVID-19 pandemic hit South Korea. The restaurant reportedly faced difficulties due to this. The restaurant reportedly combines flavors from Western and East Asian culinary traditions. The building reportedly faces out onto the city's Gwangan Bridge.
