The NSA/CSS Texas Cryptologic Center (TCC), also known as the Texas Cryptology Center, Texas Cryptographic Center or NSA Texas, is a satellite campus at the Medina Annex, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, operated by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA). It is adjacent to the former Medina National Stockpile Site. TCC conducts signals intelligence, cyberwarfare operations and cybersecurity operations.

John Jay Science and Engineering Academy is a magnet school in San Antonio, Texas (United States) which provides an academic education in a digital environment. Students and teachers pursue research projects that are collaboratively designed to develop critical thinking, technological competence, and academic achievement. The Academy is a "school within a school" sharing the campus of John Jay High School with a mission to provide students with a curriculum in science, engineering, math, and technology that will prepare them for further study and careers in science and engineering. The instructional program of the Science & Engineering Academy aims to ensure a thorough education in science, engineering, and mathematics. Students are required to take four science and math courses each of their four years of high school, which allows them to graduate with a cumulative total of 26 credits. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of learning modes within the curriculum. Options include Independent Study, Research, Seminars, and the Internship program. The focus on science and engineering is enhanced by the availability of computers, laboratory facilities, independent research, mentors, field trips, summer internships, and opportunities for special projects. In 2012 the expulsion of one of the school's students for not complying with the school district's Student Locator Project attracted publicity. The Principal of the Academy is Teresa Cuellar, and the Vice Principal is Crystal Mitchell. In 2009, the school was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.

NSITE High School (formerly Business Careers High School) is a business and technology magnet high school part of the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. It is a "school within a school" located on the campus of Oliver Wendell Holmes High School. The school attracts students who want to study business and other related fields. The school allows the students to grasp the concepts of the business world easier by offering laptops to each student to use for a school purposes.

Oliver Wendell Holmes High School is a public high school that is part of the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas (United States). It was established in 1964 and is known for its circular architecture, in which several buildings are completely cylindrical. As with all Northside ISD schools, Holmes is named for a former or current United States Supreme Court justice, in this case Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. Holmes High School is also the parent school for Business Careers High School, a magnet school in NISD. In 2017, the Holmes was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 6-Star Distinction for Academic Achievements in ELA/Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies, Top 25 Percent Student Progress, Top 25 Percent Closing Performance Gaps, and Postsecondary Readiness.

Texas's 20th congressional district of the United States House of Representatives includes the western half of San Antonio and Bexar County in Texas. The district is heavily Latino/Hispanic (predominantly of Mexican descent), as is the surrounding area. Charlie Gonzalez, who represented the district from 1999 to 2013 after succeeding his father, Henry B. González, did not seek re-election in the 2012 United States House of Representatives elections. State representative Joaquin Castro, the Democratic nominee to replace Gonzalez, defeated David Rosa, the Republican nominee, in the race for Texas's 20th district on November 6, 2012. His term began on January 3, 2013. The 20th district is heavily Democratic. It has never sent a Republican to Congress, and has not supported a Republican for president since 1956. In 1972, this was one of two congressional districts in the state of Texas to vote for George McGovern (the other being the 18th district in Houston). In 1984, this district gave Walter Mondale 59% of its vote.

Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, formerly known as Wilford Hall Medical Center, is a U.S. Air Force medical treatment facility located on the grounds of San Antonio's Lackland Air Force Base. Operated by the 59th Medical Wing, Wilford Hall is the Defense Department's largest outpatient ambulatory surgical center, providing the full spectrum of primary care, specialty care, and outpatient surgery. The medical facility is named after former Air Force physician, Maj. Gen. Wilford F. Hall, a visionary pioneer whose contributions were instrumental in the development of aeromedical evacuation. In US Air Force lineage terms, the Wilford Hall Medical Center was consolidated with the 59th Tactical Fighter Wing on 1 July 1993 and became the 59th Medical Wing.On Sept. 15, 2011, Wilford Hall Medical Center was renamed Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center as part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission actions.

Construction Careers Academy is a magnet school in the Northside Independent School District of San Antonio, Texas, United States. Founded in 2009, the school is a "school within a school" sharing the campus of Earl Warren High School with an academic focus on construction related skills. The mission of CCA “is to provide an advanced and rigorous curriculum with a focus on construction technology, construction management, architectural design, applied engineering and real-world experience that will prepare students for studies in higher education and/or a career in a construction-related industry." Students accepted to the academy can choose from one of nine majors to include architecture and design, engineering, construction management, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, welding and carpentry. CCA offers a wide variety of opportunities for students. Whether a student plans to attend a four-year university, get a two-year associate degree, or enter the workforce after high school, CCA will provide them the skills necessary to achieve their goals. Students attending CCA can expect to receive a “top flight” education from one of the most prestigious academies in the state of Texas. Earl Warren High School is a public school located in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is a part of the Northside Independent School District. As with all Northside ISD high schools, it is named for a former United States Supreme Court justice - in this case, former Chief Justice Earl Warren. When the school opened, the Warren family donated the robe worn by Earl Warren during the historic Brown v. Board of Education case. The robe is displayed in the school’s front office. In 2017, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 3-Star Distinction for Academic Achievements in Mathematics, Top 25 Percent Student Progress, and Top 25 Percent Closing Performance Gaps.In 2006, the Warren Academic Decathlon Team made it to state competition for the first time. Northside ISD magnet school Construction Careers Academy was founded in 2009 with an academic focus on construction related skills, and is located on the Warren campus.On Friday, November 4, 2005, only about 400 of Warren's 3,000 students attended school for the entire day due to threatening messages posted on MySpace; specifically that “two boys were planning to show up at school with guns." The four students who posted the messages on the web site were identified by administrators as “current students of Warren High School”, and faced felony charges, including making terroristic threats and disruption of a high school campus.

Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium (informally Wolff Stadium) is a stadium in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the San Antonio Missions Minor League Baseball team of the Texas League. The UTSA Roadrunners baseball team also plays some home games at the stadium. The stadium is named for Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, who is a former Texas legislator and San Antonio councilman and mayor. The Wolff is located about 8 miles (13 km) to the west of Downtown San Antonio. It was opened on April 18, 1994, (as the San Antonio Municipal Stadium) and has 6,200 fixed seats and a grass berm in left field that can seat about 3,000. The stadium features 14 luxury suites, a 500-person picnic area down the right field line, and an all-you-can-eat-and-drink fiesta deck that can be rented for groups of 25 to 200 people. The dimensions (from home plate to the outfield wall) are: 310 feet (94 m) to left field, 402 feet (123 m) to center field, and 340 feet (100 m) to right field.
