Amboli is in Andheri (West), Mumbai, Maharashtra. Earlier known as Ambolim, it is situated very close to Andheri railway station and Jogeshwari railway station. It also has a playground known as Joe and Helen Ground at its heart.

Mumbai Football Arena is a football stadium in Mumbai, India. It is located in the Andheri Sports Complex. It is also used for national level sports tournaments like boxing, karate, squash, and tennis. It serves as the home stadium of Mumbai City FC of the Indian Super League. The football stadium holds 7,960 spectators for many ISL games and was expected to be one of the venues for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The India national football team played a FIFA international friendly on 3 September 2016 beating Puerto Rico national football team 4–1 in front of a packed stadium. This was the first international friendly hosted by the city in 61 years. In June 2018, the stadium hosted all 7 matches of the 2018 Intercontinental Cup, in which the Indian men's football team played against Kenya, New Zealand, and Chinese Taipei in a four-way tournament. India beat Kenya 2–0 in the final to win the tournament.Aditya Thackeray, a local politician, and Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor are known to have played an important role in the redevelopment of the stadium.It hosted the 2019 Indian Super League Final featuring Bengaluru FC and FC Goa. Bengaluru F.C won the match due to a late goal from defender Rahul Bheke. This was Bengaluru F.C's first Indian Super League after losing in the final the previous year. Currently,it is one of the host venue of 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup.

Azad Nagar (officially known as Medimix Azad Nagar) is an elevated metro station on the East-West Corridor of the Blue Line 1 of Mumbai Metro serving the Azad Nagar neighbourhood of Andheri in Mumbai, India. It opened to the public on 8 June 2014.

The Andheri Sports Complex also known as Shahaji Raje Krida Sankul is a multi-purpose facility located on Veera Desai Road in Andheri West, Mumbai, India. It was built in 1988 at Rs. 30 crore for schools that lacked the necessary infrastructure to hold sports meets. The complex is used for both national level sports tournaments like squash, boxing, tennis and karate. The sports complex has an olympic size swimming pool and a diving pool with 4 diving levels. In 2016, it was redeveloped to include a modern football stadium in accordance with FIFA guidelines and known as Mumbai Football Arena.

Bhavan's College is a prestigious college located in Andheri West, a neighborhood in western Mumbai, India. It was established in 1946, a year before India gained independence from the British in 1947. Dr. K.M. Munshi was the founding president of the college.Bhavan's College is a part of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. The college is built upon 45 acres (180,000 m2) of land and has huge volleyball and basketball courts, as well as football pitches, a botanical garden, beautiful lake and a nature adventure centre within the campus (www.bnac.org.in). It primarily offers higher secondary (junior college) and undergraduate (bachelor's) courses. There a few postgraduate and PhD programs too.

St. Blaise is a school founded in 1879 and is run by the Roman Catholic parish of St. Blaise, Amboli in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The Secondary school is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and the Primary school is recognized by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The School prepares students of Standard ten for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate examinations conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Gilbert Hill is a 200 ft (61 m) monolith column of black basalt rock at Andheri, in Mumbai, India. The rock has a sheer vertical face and was formed when molten lava was squeezed out of the Earth's clefts during the Mesozoic Era about 66 million years ago. During that era, molten lava had spread around most of the Indian states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, covering an area of 50,000 square kilometres (19,000 sq mi). The volcanic eruptions were also responsible for the destruction of plant and animal life during that era. According to experts, this rare geological phenomenon was the remnant of a ridge and had clusters of vertical columns in nearby Jogeshwari which were quarried off two decades ago. These vertical columns are similar to the Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming, and the Devils Postpile National Monument in eastern California, USA. Gilbert Hill was declared a National Park in 1952 by the Central Government under the Forest Act. In 2007, after years of lobbying by geologists, the hill was declared a Grade II heritage structure by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), and all quarrying and other activities around the monument were prohibited. Over the period of time, Gilbert Hill has faced severe erosion problems too.Atop the rock column, two Hindu temples, the Gaodevi and Durgamata temples, set in a small garden, are accessed by a steep staircase carved into the rock. The hill offers a panoramic view of suburban Mumbai. Efforts are being made to convert Gilbert Hill into a tourist attraction and include it as a stop on a tour of Mumbai by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.

D N Nagar is named after Dadabhai Naoroji. It is located within the triangle of Lokhandwala Complex, Seven Bungalows and Juhu Vile Parle Development Scheme (JVPD). Its educational establishments include Bhavan's College, Bhavan's A H Wadia High School, Bhavan's Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Bhavan's S P Jain Institute of Management, S C D Barfivala High School, Valia College and Pragat Vidya Mandir. D N Nagar is now accessible with Mumbai Metro which has an elevated station with the same name, located at India Oil Junction.

Lokhandwala Complex, also known as Lokhandwala, is a large upmarket and affluent residential and commercial neighbourhood in Andheri West suburb in Mumbai, India. It is approximately 5 km from Andheri station. The name Lokhandwala comes from the name of the developer with the construction firm being Lokhandwala Constructions Pvt. Ltd. It was the primary developer of the suburb of Versova, which was previously basically a marshland. It is the starting point of Line 6 of the city's metro system.

The Indian Film & Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) is an entertainment guild that represents the interests of film and television directors in India. It was founded as the Indian Film Directors' Association (IFDA) in 1960, before adopting today's name in 2007 and welcoming television directors into the guild. Ashoke Pandit is the current president, a role that has been held in the past by K.A. Abbas, Madhusudan, Basu Bhattacharya, Ramesh Saigal, Mahesh Kaul, and Mohan Segal.Before IFDA was founded, it was known as the Assistant Directors' Association, and the decision to begin including directors led to its founding in 1960.In 1969 IFDA began taking a stance against imports of foreign films, supporting a tax that would encourage films with smaller budgets and higher quality. In 1978, IFDA campaigned for more movie theatres to be built, working with state governments and National Film Development Corporation of India to open 100 new theatres.IFTDA faced an identity crisis in 2010 when around 500 members quit in protest due to "lack of vision". In February 2019, IFTDA called for a hiring ban on all Pakistan artists working in Bollywood in response to the 2019 Pulwama attack and the subsequent remarks from Navjot Singh Sidhu.
