Watford Power Station

The Lairage Land is a 4.4 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Watford in Hertfordshire. It is owned and managed by Watford Borough Council.The site is mainly rough grassland, with some woodland and scrub. The River Colne runs along its southern boundary, with stream water crowfoot and yellow water lily growing in the stream. There are birds such as whitethroats and green woodpeckers, gatekeeper and small tortoiseshell butterflies, and Roesel's bush-crickets.There is access from Jellicoe Road.

The station is proposed to be part of the approved, but currently suspended due to funding, Croxley Rail Link project, a scheme to extend the Metropolitan line to Watford Junction railway station, served by Metropolitan line trains between Watford Junction and Central London via Baker Street. Originally the station was to be named either Watford Hospital or Watford General Hospital. On 25 January 2017, the Watford Observer newspaper published an update on the Croxley Rail Link confirming work had stopped as there was an ongoing funding issue.

Croxley Green Light Maintenance Depot was a traction maintenance depot located in Croxley, Watford, England that provided storage and light maintenance for electric multiple units working the Watford DC line.The depot was near the triangular junction where the line to the since closed Croxley Green station branch line branched off from the former Watford and Rickmansworth Railway, and both branches met the Watford DC line. The depot tracks left the depot in the westward direction, so empty stock workings from Watford and London would carry along a headshunt before reversing into the car shed. The River Colne flowed under the railway line on two bridges carrying the main line and the depot throat tracks.

The school continues to coordinate with Hertfordshire County Council for admissions. Westfield Academy provides leisure facilities to the public. The leisure facilities were opened in September 2004 and were originally run by Watford Borough Council. In August 2007, Fusion Lifestyle took over the management. Westfield Academy also has close links with Watford Football Club. They also have links with the local primary schools, St Anthony's, Holywell and Laurence Haines. Westfield Academy is also the home ground and base of Gadeside Rangers Football Club.

Holy Rood Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Watford, Hertfordshire. It was built from 1889 to 1890. It is situated on the western corner of Market Street and Exchange Road. It was designed by John Francis Bentley, who also designed Westminster Cathedral. It is a Grade I listed building. The church features in England's Thousand Best Churches by Simon Jenkins who described it as "a true town church".
