De Haag, Beuningen

Beuningen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbøːnɪŋə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The municipality consists of the towns Beuningen, Ewijk, Winssen and Weurt. 1.5 kilometres (1 mi) to the north lies the river Waal Beuningen lies adjacent to the A73 (Nijmegen-Venlo, on the south side) and A50 (Zwolle-Eindhoven, in the west) motorway interchange. East of Beuningen lies the city Nijmegen. Beuningen had a population of 26,157 in 2021. There is a restored windmill in the town, De Haag.

Slijk-Ewijk is a village in the municipality of Overbetuwe in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. It was first mentioned in 1573 as SlijckEwick. The etymology is unknown. The village developed into a linear settlement on artificial mounds. The tower of the Dutch Reformed Church probably dates from the 14th century. The church is mainly a 1912 construction. Huis Loenen is an estate which was constructed around 1825 on the location of a medieval castle. In 1840, it was home to 371 people.

Loenen en Wolferen is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It existed from 1818 to 1854, when it became a part of Valburg. The area is now part of the municipality of Overbetuwe. The municipality covered the two hamlets of Loenen and Wolferen.

The Lancaster Memorial in Beuningen, Netherlands is a memorial that commemorates the crew of the British Avro Lancaster LM325 SR-J that crashed on the spot during the night of 22 to 23 June 1943 in World War II. The bomber belonged to the No. 101 Squadron of the RAF. Six of the seven crew lost their lives.

Weurt is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Beuningen, and lies about 0.1 km West of Nijmegen. Weurt was a separate municipality until 1818, when it was merged with Beuningen.It was first mentioned in 1148 as Vurdene, and means "land near water". Weurt developed along the Waal River. In 1840, it was home to 451 people.A large brickworks resulted in a population increase. The 1837 church became too small, and was replaced by the St Andrews Church which was completed in 1898. After World War II, the village was extended southwards, and now borders the industrial area of Nijmegen.

Herveld is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Overbetuwe. Herveld was a separate municipality until 1818, when the area was divided between Loenen en Wolferen and Valburg.The village exists of two semi-separate communities of Herveld-Noord and Herveld-Zuid., connected by the Stenenkamerstraat. The mostly Catholic Herveld-North is located directly east of the village Andelst while the more Protestant Herveld-South is a mile further south. Most amenities such as supermarkets, are located in Herveld-North. In the center of Herveld-South is a Gothic hall church, dating from the 15th century. Just outside the village is De Vink, a mill from the 18th century. Herveld is just off the A50 motorway (junction/knooppunt Valburg), and to come into the village, one must follow the A15. Herveld has a rich history of fruit cultivation.

FiftyTwoDegrees is an 86-metre-tall (282 ft) high-rise building in Nijmegen, Netherlands. It is from a special design. Its lower floors are built as an inclined tower, while its upper sections are from conventional design. FiftyTwoDegrees was completed in 2007.

Andelst is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality Overbetuwe, about 10 km northwest of the city of Nijmegen.
