Hell (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈhɛlː], Trøndersk: [ˈheʎ]) is a village in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the western part of the municipality, about 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of the town of Stjørdalshalsen. The 1.26-square-kilometre (310-acre) village has a population (2023) of 1,921 and a population density of 1,525 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,950/sq mi). Hell is a post town with two post codes: 7517 for delivery route addresses and 7570 for post-office boxes. Hell currently has a grocery store, gas station, a fast food shop, and a retirement home. Until late 1995, the European route E6 highway was aligned through Hell and across the Hell bridge to Sandfærhus (nearby is the Trondheim Airport, Værnes). The new highway (completed in 1995) now goes around the village.

Lånke was a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 185-square-kilometre (71 sq mi) municipality existed from 1902 until its dissolution in 1962. The municipality was located south of the Stjørdalselva river in what is now the south-central part of Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre was located in the village of Hell. The famous Hell Station in the village of Hell is situated in the westernmost part of Lånke. There are two churches in Lånke: Lånke Church and Elvran Chapel. Historically, this parish was also known as Leksdal. Lånke is an area dominated by agriculture and forests. Prior to its dissolution in 1962, the 185.4-square-kilometre (71.6 sq mi) municipality was the 400th largest by area out of the 731 municipalities in Norway. Lånke Municipality was the 458th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of about 1,976. The municipality's population density was 10.7 inhabitants per square kilometre (28/sq mi) and its population had increased by 8.6% over the previous 10-year period.

Lånke Church (Norwegian: Lånke kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located just east of the village of Hell. It is one of the churches for the Lånke parish which is part of the Stjørdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1901 using plans drawn up by the architect Ole Røising. The church seats about 200 people.

Stjørdalselva (lit. 'Stjørdal River') is a 70-kilometre (43 mi) long river that reaches from near the Norwegian–Swedish border down the Stjørdalen valley through Meråker Municipality and Stjørdal Municipality before entering the Trondheimsfjord. The mouth is located on the south side of the town Stjørdalshalsen, just south of Trondheim Airport, Værnes. The village of Hell lies on the south side of the river's mouth. The mouth of the river was moved to allow the runway to expand into the delta. The European route E14 highway and the Meråker Line railway follow the river from its source the entire length of the river.

Sandferhus station (Norwegian: Sandferhus holdeplass) was a railway station on the Nordland Line at Værnes in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag, Norway. The station opened on 1 July 1953 and was known as Sandfærhus until November 1953. Train services stopped on 20 May 1988 and the station was officially closed on 28 May 1989.

Hell Station (Norwegian: Hell stasjon) is a railway station located in the village of Hell in Stjørdal Municipality in the Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located at the intersection of the Nordland Line and the Meråker Line.

Trondheim Airport Station (IATA code: TRD), also known as Værnes Station (Norwegian: Værnes holdeplass), is a railway station located within the terminal complex of Trondheim Airport, Værnes in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. Situated on the Nordland Line, it serves both express trains and the Trøndelag Commuter Rail both operated by the state-owned company SJ Norge. The station was opened on 15 November 1994 along with a new terminal at the airport, making it the first airport rail link in the Nordic countries. The station cost 24 million kr, and was built along the existing railway line. In each direction, the station handles one to two hourly commuter rail services, and three daily express services. Travel time to Trondheim is 38 minutes, while it is 9 hours and 5 minutes to Bodø. Access to the airport terminal is outdoors, but sheltered.

Værnes is a village in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the western part of the municipality, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) southeast of the town of Stjørdalshalsen and just northeast of the Stjørdalselva river delta. The village of Hell lies to the south and the village of Prestmoen lies to the east. The area is the site of Trondheim Airport, Værnes, Trondheim Airport Station, Værnes Air Station, and the 12th-century Værnes Church.

Værnes Church (Norwegian: Værnes kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located just south of the town of Stjørdalshalsen, along the Stjørdalselva river, and just east of the Trondheim Airport, Værnes. It is the church for the Stjørdal parish which is also the seat of the Stjørdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, stone church was built in a long church style in five stages from 1130 until 1190 by using plans drawn up by unknown architect. The church seats about 370 people.

Prestmoen is a village in Stjørdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located along the Stjørdalselva river in the central part of the municipality, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) southeast of the town of Stjørdalshalsen. The village is the location of Værnes Church. The 0.2-square-kilometre (49-acre) village has a population (2024) of 391 and a population density of 1,955 inhabitants per square kilometre (5,060/sq mi).
