Thomas S. Wootton High School or Wootton High School (WHS) is a public high school in Rockville, Maryland. Its namesake is Thomas S. Wootton, the founder of Montgomery County. The school was founded in 1970 and is part of the Montgomery County Public Schools system. Robert Frost Middle School along with half of Cabin John Middle School feed into the school. In 2019, Newsweek ranked Wootton's STEM program #160 in a nationwide survey of US high schools. In 2022, U.S. News & World Report ranked Wootton #167 nationally amongst high school.

It is the only public high school in Potomac. The school is named after Winston Churchill, a British statesman and politician who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II. Founded in 1964 as Potomac High School, the school's name was changed to "Winston Churchill High School" a year later.Churchill is part of the Montgomery County Public Schools system. The majority of the students come from Herbert Hoover Middle School (75%) and Cabin John Middle School (25%).

New Mark Commons is a historic planned development in Rockville, Maryland. It consists of a residential area south of Maryland Avenue and east of Interstate 270, and is accessed via Potomac Valley Road and New Mark Esplanade. It was planned and built as a collaborative effort by the architectural firm Keyes, Lethbridge & Condon and builder Edmund J. Bennett, and was built between 1967 and 1973. Its design includes winding roads in a wooded landscape, with many cul-de-sacs, and pedestrian paths for connecting residential areas to recreational amenities.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Frieda Fromm-Reichmann Cottage is a historic house located at 19 Thomas Street in Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland. It was built in 1936 to house the residence and professional office of Frieda Fromm-Reichmann, one of the leading psychoanalysts at the Chestnut Lodge psychiatric hospital, on whose grounds it stood. Fromm-Reichmann (1899-1957) was influential in the development of interpersonal psychoanalysis and its use in the treatment of schizophrenia. The cottage was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2021.

The West Montgomery Avenue Historic District is a national historic district located at Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland. It is a residential area with single-family homes predominating. The majority of the properties within the district date from the 1880s, with a few older homes and somewhat more from later periods. The predominant character of the district is set by the rows of Victorian houses built between 1880 and 1900 in a vernacular residential mode with Eastlake and Stick Style influences. Also included in the district are attorneys' offices; churches and parsonages; a funeral home; the former Woodlawn Hotel, later called the Chestnut Lodge Sanitarium (destroyed by fire, June 7, 2009); and the headquarters of the Montgomery County Historical Society.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
